So here's the thing. At first, Milo had just been coerced into doing something other than talking for his campaign, and since he really didn't want to break his honest and non extravagant ways of doing things so far, he'd decided. Hey. Maybe borrow some art supplies and stuff, team up with the art club, have fun painting his usually doodled patterns with all the new people who'd been supportive of him.

Then he found out there wasn't an art club. How could there not be an art club? Why hadn't anyone made a fuss about this before? What, was there some kind of incident years ago that led to the official art club being banned? It barely made any sense. This may or may not be a mild outrage, enough of one for… for…

For Milo, who so far had decided to run for student council on impulse, only started off talking to people and always saying 'I don't care about winning, only interacting with people constructively like this', ended up somehow supported, with accidental mascots and picnics…

For him to full on create an art club. Nobody else was doing it, so why not him? That was what he kept saying, in reaction to various things happening lately, and it just kept escalating way more than expected. So really. He guessed he actually was serious about all of it, especially now.

Art club setup was going well. He'd never done anything like this before, but he only had the highest of expectations, and was working hard. He'd managed to get a big, empty room in the art building, with big windows and a sink. After that, he'd managed to be gifted some comfortable furniture as well as be given some more useful things like desks, computers, and drawing tablets. The art programs now on the computers, he'd added in on his own, as well as the recently bought snacks. The art supplies hoard he'd started, but also kept being added to by others, so it was a group effort.

Today, the official opening of the art club, he had a lot of things out and easily accessible, placed a few handwritten and drawn (with pretty patterns in the corners) signs about what was happening in the nearby outside area, and had asked some of the people who liked him to spread the word. As well as just the general, ready to go art things to work with, there were huge sheets of paper pinned up on the walls, ready to be written, drawn, or painted on.

He thought it was nice, and thank god, after spending his weekend putting all the energy in. Although others had certainly helped, it was his responsibility.

The doors to the art club were finally opened, and although Milo was, a rarity, nervous, he was also happy. Really happy. He'd done something pretty good this time.

[this is very long, i am so sorry, but i love art club and elections. very invested. help. don't be intimidated by the length, my posts after this big intro will be way shorter too.]
