Of course he was right. Tyberius was always right. He readjusted his arms under the boy, making sure he had a good grip to keep him from floating off. He felt something begin to wrap around his arm, and he fidgeted for a moment, thinking it might be an octopus or something. Those creatures didn't come so close to the shallows, did they? Carefully looking down, he saw a tail had wormed it's way up there, far different than what he had been expecting. Raising his eyebrows at Levi, he said nothing, choosing to ignore the strange and mildly concerning update.

"Now just... Relax. I've got you, you won't go too far." Nudging him along, Ty kept his hands firmly on Levi's skin, making sure the waves didn't carry him off to anywhere. The last thing he really wanted was to go chasing after a panicking demon. "See, look, you're floating. Isn't this nice?" It would be safer to teach Levi how to swim in a pool or more enclosed area, but he supposed this would do for right now. He just hoped no sharks would decide to come crash the party.
"I'm gonna let you go, now, okay? Try flapping your arms a little to move around, and tread gently with your feet." Dropping his arms away, he tugged a little more, realising that the tail was still wrapped firmly around his arm. "You're supposed to let go, too. "

<div align=center>Levi hoped he wouldn't go too far. He was only small, and didn't weigh very much. It wouldn't take very long for him to drift away from Tyberius and drift out to sea. The demon boy very much hoped that Ty wouldn't let that happen, however. You're supposed to let go, too. "What?" Levi glanced up, finding his tail still wrapped around Tyberius' wrist. "I.. Oh.. Sorry." He largely didn't control the movement of his tail, it was more involuntary than anything else. It tended to have a mind of its own from time to time. That didn't mean he couldn't control it, though. It unraveled it's self and dropped into the water, floating idly next to Levi.

He liked this. This was fun. Though without Ty holding onto him there was something precarious about floating in the water, kicking his legs just a little, he sent himself a little ways away from the older man, tail still trailing limply behind him. He purred softly at the motion of the water, letting his eyes flicker shut for just a moment. Though, when he opened them again, he found that he was... A lot further away from Tyberius that he had been a moment ago. Panicking suddenly, Levi could feel himself slowly sinking beneath the surface. When he stuck his legs out again to push himself back to the surface, he found that they didn't even reach the bottom. Oh shit.</div>

Levi apologised and immediately unwrapped himself, Ty watching as he drifted around. He seemed to be having a good enough time, just drifting around and enjoying himself. He looked a bit like a dead bug, floating around aimlessly on top of the water. At least his legs weren't sticking up at odd angles. Something seemed to change, and Ty stood straighter, watching intensely as Levi began to panic and sink. He had forgotten to tell Levi specifically to not panic, and sighed faintly. He supposed that this is what having kids was like, and vowed to never breed.

Making his way towards Levi, he launched himself off the floor, quickly deciding that swimming would be easier than trying to fight his way past the underwater currents. Easily maneuvering through the water, Ty made it closer to where Levi had disppeared, ducking underwater himself to see where the stupid beast had gone. Squinting at the burning saltwater in his eyes, he managed to catch sight of a fuzzy shape looked an awul lot like his roommate, and he snatched at it, hauling the boy back up to the surface. His head broke through the water, bringing Levi along with him, squishing the half drowned boy to his chest. "Are you hurt? You can't do that"

<div align=center>Realizing he couldn't paddle back up to the surface, flailing his arms wildly in an attempt to reach fresh air and failing miserably. His wings unfurled and flapped uselessly in the water in a desperate attempt to reach the surface. His efforts were futile. Levi decided to accept his fate and merely let himself sink further under the water. God dammit why do I have to die like this? This isn't a cool way to die. Being eaten by a dragon is a cool way to die. Just as he'd accepted his fate and felt alright about dying, something tugged him to the surface again.

Coughing and spluttering loudly, Levi managed to bring up half a quart of seawater that he'd swallowed while he'd been slowly drowning. The sea was not his friend. He realized this now. The sea was cold and unforgiving and all it wanted to do was drown him and kill him. The demon wanted nothing more to do with it. Or water of any kind that he couldn't control. Coughing up the last bit of water that had found it's way into his lungs, panting hard, he clung to Tyberius, eyes wide. "I... I don't think I like swimming." He admitted, in a small voice that suggested he was a little embarrassed about this. "I... Think we should go back and sit on the sand." Dry land sounded good about now.</div>

Patting the boy gently, Ty stroked the hair away from Levi's face, tolerating being clung on to. It was a little gross, all the water that the small boy was coughing up, but Ty only squinted and scrunched up his nose. "Maybe we can just go make sandcastles in a little bit. You'll like sandcastles, I think." He couldn't blame Levi for not liking the sea anymore. It wasn't like I didn't warn him, though. Nudging Levi around so he could hang onto his shoulders, Ty wriggled a bit to make sure the boy was on top of him a bit more before heading off, a little slow without being able to push off the floor.

Struggling against the waves as he swam for safety, Ty powered through, trying to focus on their little encampment on the shore. Do it for the snacks.. The shore was steadily drawing closer, and before long, Ty was able to stand up once more. "Can you stand? I'll carry you if you need me to." Faced with losing his roommate, Ty almost felt something kin to sympathy and empathy. For perhaps one of the first times in his life, he had begun to think about someone other than himself.

<div align=center>Sandcastles. That sounded like a much better idea. He was done with swimming for the next few years, even more so when Tyberius wasn't around to save him. Drowning was a bad way to go. Clinging to the older man's shoulders to stop himself from falling off and drowning again, the demon found that this was a hell of a lot nicer than actually swimming himself. Tyberius was good at swimming, he thought, and strong enough to carry him back to shore. When they got to the shallow water he almost didn't want to let go again, but questions would be raised if he didn't. "I can stand."

Pausing for a moment, Levi debated whether to worm his way back against Ty's side, he was incredibly grateful for being rescued, but he thought cuddling might just have been a little too much. "Thank you," he murmured, instead. "I... Didn't mean to do that. I'm sorry." He made a face up at him. He didn't like having to be saved, it made him feel like a child, though he supposed that was more or less what he was. In human terms, maybe not, but in the terms of an Incubus, that was certainly what he was.</div>

Rubbing his arms, he swept some of the water off, wishing that he had a bit of freshwater to get some of the salt off. "Good. So no more swimming for a while. It'll be easier with a pool. You can't drift out to sea in a pool." Patting Levi on the head uncertainly, Ty quickly strode off before the moment could get any sappier. It wasn't like he needed to be thanked or apologised to, and Ty didn't know how to respond to those types of things.

Shaking himself off, he went up a little ways onto the beach, dropping himself onto the partially wet sand. Extending out one leg, he shifted a bit to make a small spot for himself. "Sandcastles are easy. You just build whatever you like. You need wet sand, though, or else it'll collapse." Leaning forward, Ty scooped up a handful of wet seaweed, plucking the salty vine out of his hand one by one and shaking them out. He had quite a pile, and probably had enough to make a tiny crown. Knotting a couple strands together, Ty dumped out the contents of his pocket — an assorted collection of seashells. Twisting the seaweed together, he hunched over, focusing on trying to make Levi a pretty crown. Weaving the shells between the seaweed, he grunted each time a leaf broke or a stem frayed. He placed the tiny starfish at the head of the crown, pleased that it was coming along so quickly. Finished with his little crown, he knotted the end pieces together, the funny little circlet of seaweed dotted with shells and things hanging limply in his hand. "Here. Crown." Offering it out wordlessly, Ty rubbed his face in mild embarrassment, not really familiar with gift giving.

<div align=center>Levi wasn't quite sure how the sand would stick together, but he decided it sounded like fun and set about deciding what he was going to build. It likely would have been easier if the two had been in possession of a bucket and spade, but both of them were more or less adults, it wasn't generally expected of adults to own buckets and spades. He blinked as the crown was offered to him, ducking his head so it could be placed there. It sat neatly over his horns, giggling softly, he vanished off down the beach to recover some more seaweed.

It was a few minutes before he came back, seemingly triumphant with his creation. He'd crafted a crown similar to the one Ty had made, though he'd found a collection of tiny little shells and woven them through the strands. It looked like it had taken a while and it wasn't all that clear how he'd ended up making it in the few minutes he'd been gone. Standing on his tiptoes and reaching up to place it on his room mate's head, the little demon stood back to admire his handy work. "There," he began, "now we match."</div>

His lips twitched in something of a smile, and Ty admired his creation sitting atop Levi's head. He watched Levi disappear down the beach anxiously, wondering if he was going back to the sea. It didn't look like he was headed for the water, and Ty forced himself to focus on building the base of his little sand castle. Luckily, Levi hadn't been gone too long and quickly brought back a matching crown. The thing in his hands looked like it had taken an awful long time to create, and Ty was so taken aback by it he almost thought Levi had managed to buy one from a local shop. There weren't any shops within a few minutes distance, though.

"You ... Made it? That's incredible, it's so — " Ty paused, hesitant suddenly. "It's okay. I've matched with worse people, I suppose." Closing back up, Tyberius patted the little seaweed crown on his head to make sure it didn't fall before he got back to work on his castle. "Hey. I bet I can make a bigger castle than you can. Loser buys more snacks the next time we run out. " Flashing a mischievous smile up at Levi, Ty quickly began to pat the sand into walls around his body.

<div align=center>Levi nodded when asked if he had made that all by himself, he was a demon, he had a way with his hands when he came to a lot of things. Worse people? He laughed at the statement, though he briefly wondered if he actually meant anyone by saying 'worse people' or that it was just a cover up instead of saying something nice. The incubus smiled nonetheless, that was probably the nicest Tyberius could get, at least. Levi didn't mind, not really. Over the past few weeks he'd come to appreciate the moody, cynical nature of his room mate. He wasn't boring like everyone else.

"What? A bigger sand castle?" He frowned, he didn't even know how to build a sand castle in the first place. Did it have to be a castle? It sounded like it. What was the point of calling it a sand castle if it didn't even have to be a castle. "But that's not fair." Levi whined, hunching his shoulders and pouting, "I don't even know how to build a sand castle." He supposed you just squashed all the sand together, but he didn't really know how he planned on making it look like a castle. "Hey, what are you doing?"</div>
