Despite his previous dedication to remain moody, he could feel Levi's happiness slowly starting to infect him, as well. His constant frown had steadily slipped away, and for the first time in a long time, he felt something that felt like excitement. "Yeah! I bet we could go swim to try to find one." He had a feeling that he'd be doing most of the swimming in that instance, and felt very lucky that Levi didn't weigh anything. If he looked like he was getting too tired, he thought he could probably tow him back to shore. Levi had set the crab onto his palm, and after a short stare down, the crab latched it's claw onto one of Levi's fingers.

Hurrying forward, he didn't want to cause harm to neither the crab nor Levi. "Um, ahh, don't move you'll just make it worse, I think." Pinching the crab's claw at the base, he managed to work it open and extract Levi's finger. Tossing the creature back into the water unceremoniously, Ty turned his attention back to Levi, fussing and worried despite himself. "Are you okay? Did it get you too bad?"

<div align=center>Levi held his bloody thumb to eye level, there was only a small mark on it but it was bleeding rather heavily and looked much worse than it actually was. "I think it's okay. I can wash it off in all this water, right?" He asked, looking up at Ty and tilting his head to the side. He didn't seem to realize that the salt would burn any cuts he had. It'd clean it alright but salt stung. He watched as the blood trickled down his palm and onto his wrist, his brow creased slightly, and his tongue flicked out to lick the blood from his skin.

"Thank you for getting rid of it. Crabs are mean." His eyes flickered down to the sandy surface underneath the water, trying to locate the crab again. Tyberius had thrown it far enough that it most likely wouldn't come back to more. If it does I'll pull it's claws off. Levi decided that this wound was making enough mess as it was, there was a miniature crimson river flooding down to his elbow by now, the only option Levi saw was to stick it in the sea. "Oh my God that stings so bad! Holy shit why does that sting so much?!"</div>

Ty stared down at Levi, wondering if he was joking. Surely he really couldn't be stupid enough to wash off the blood in salt water. No. "Haha, yeah, sure. Awesome idea." Deciding to just play along, Ty made a face at Levi as he licked the blood off his skin. It was trailing down from his thumb and made his stomach tense up for a moment. He never minded his own blood, but when it came to other's, he just hated it.

"Oh my God, you idiot." Levi had stuffed his finger in the salty water, and was now screeching about how much it hurt. "I thought you were joking you idiot, why did you do that?!" Frustrated and irritated, Ty grabbed Levi's arm. Gently cupping sea water over his arm, he rinsed off the rest of the blood that had trailed down. Fidgeting for a moment, he squinted before shoving down his feelings and taking Levi's thumb in his mouth. Sucking gently on his finger, his tongue lapped over the cut in question as a fierce flush rose to his cheeks. Pulling his finger out, Ty squinted nervously. He felt something happening in his chest, and he did not like it one bit."I ... Don't do that again."

<div align=center>Of course Levi had taken Ty seriously, he'd not been on Earth all that long and he didn't really understand these things. "What?" Levi looked confused for a moment, he hadn't understood why it had stung so badly. "It's.. It's just water. I... I didn't think that it would hurt." It was said you should throw salt on a demon to drive it away, that might have been true for some but Levi could get through a whole packet of mini salted pretzels and be absolutely fine. He remembered that Ty had told him there was salt in the water though, "does it burn 'cause I'm a demon? Salt doesn't usually hurt me though." Maybe it was because it had gotten into an open wound. Levi couldn't get his head around it.

The next thing that happened was something he had not anticipated one bit. "I..." He blinked, feeling a flush creeping up his neck and darkening his cheeks. The boy bit back a purr and swallowed it, he was no stranger to less than innocent situations but this felt different to him. A familiar warmth spread through his stomach and all of a sudden he was uncomfortably aware that this situation needed to stop before things got any worse. "I... Uh.." He quickly averted his eyes from Tyberius' face. "I'm sorry. Thank you."</div>

Ty had felt incredibly bad for the poor boy, wanting to squish him into his chest and carry him out of the water. Of course, he did no such thing. Levi could take care of himself, he rationalised. Wiping at his cheek, Ty could practically feel the awkward tension in the air. He wondered why he had done that; Levi could have easily done it to himself. He had a mouth, after all. A big one, at that. His face only burned harder and brighter as these thoughts finally occurred to him. He should have just stuck the boy's finger in his own mouth, avoided all this.

There was an uncomfortable warmth in the pit of his stomach made him shudder, and he backed up to create more space between them, feeling that with more space, the feeling would go away. "It's fine. Salt burns everyone. You couldn't have known." Especially if its an open wound... "Uh. You're... Getting burned, you're going to get burned if you stay out here. I'm going back to the shade." Quickly, he hurried out of the water, hissing slightly as the sand burned at the soles of his feet. Making it to the safety of the umbrella, Ty rubbed at his shoulders, realising that he hadn't thought to bring any sunblock. He could already feel the uncomfortable tautness that came with a sunburn, and he cursed at himself for not thinking of something so important. Ripping open a bag of cookies, he closed his eyes and nipped at one, trying to forget the past few minutes.

<div align=center>Whirling around and facing himself out to sea, Levi debated whether to wade in a little further or not. Unwilling to get his shirt wet, he briefly followed Tyberius back to their umbrella, awkwardly stripping his tank top off, letting out a trail of angry little grumbles when it got caught on his wings. "What do you mean I'll get burned?" He asked, he didn't want to sit in the shade. He wanted to swim. "I'll be fine. I'm used to the heat, remember?" He dropped it onto his towel and skittered excitedly off back into the sea, the water splashing under his feet as he pounced into it. Wading in a little further, Levi whimpered as the water lapped at his stomach. It perhaps would have felt warm to someone else, but to the demon it felt chilly, it took a little while of him wading around in the water to get used to it.

He didn't really know how he was supposed to swim, looking at the people around swimming nearby, it looked very much like all you had to do was sort of kick your legs and flap your arms. He turned around to look for Tyberius, did he know how to swim? He'd talked like he had earlier. The demon waded a little further, so the water reached the middle of his chest. He wasn't all that tall, and therefore he wasn't really as far out as it seemed.</div>

Ty shrugged at the boy's unwillingness to sit in the shade for a bit. If he wanted to get burned that was his problem. Just as long as he wasn't asked to rub anything on the burns, he didn't care one bit. Or so he convinced himself. Surely Hell had to be hotter than the beach anyway, so hopefully Levi really would be fine.

Staring as Levi leapt back into the water, Ty couldn't help but think of that crab again. Shifting uncomfortably as that feeling came back, he fidgeted a couple times before deciding to just whack himself in the stomach, trying to dispel whatever was happening. It seemed to work, and the warmth was replaced with a dull pain.
Levi was looking back at him, and Ty supposed he needed something else now. Sighing, he relinquished his spot in the shade to trudge back out to sea. Immersing himself in the water, he stood a little ways behind Levi, watching him carefully. "Don't drown. I won't rescue you anymore today." Why couldn't they do safer activities like sit in the shade and eat or make nice and castles? That was much more fun than battling sea monsters and rescuing a drowning demon.

<div align=center>Levi beamed when he realized Ty was going to come back out into the sea to play with him again. His promise not to rescue Levi if he drowned merely made the boy nod, he wasn't going to drown. Why would he drown? Swimming looked easy enough. He'd be fine. He was good at everything, after all. Pushing himself out a little further, Levi now found that the water came up to his chin, he tilted his head backwards to keep his face out of the water, frowning as he felt the sea lap at the back of his hair. Levi was used to the heat, but he wasn't used to sunlight. He'd decided here and now that he'd be absolutely fine, though. He didn't really understand.

Kicking his legs off the floor for a moment, Levi floated briefly in the water before slowly sinking below the surface, popping back up a second later spluttering and trying to shake the water out of his hair. He brought a hand up to rub his eyes, but only found that the salt stung them. "This is awful why does everything sting!" He whimpered, hunching his shoulders and spitting into the water in an effort to wipe the salty taste from his mouth. He supposed the point of swimming was not sinking. He decided he would learn right away. "How do I swim?"</div>

Ty trailed behind Levi silently, hovering like an overprotective parent. The water was already up to the boy's chin, though, when it barely lapped at his chest. Catching him off guard, Levi hopped up for a moment, before disappearing beneath the surface, popping right back up just as quick as he left.
Making a disapproving clicking noise, he pushed the wet hair away from the smaller boy's face, combing it backwards to make sure it stayed out of the way. Taking the top of his shirt, he made sure it was still dry and salt free before tilting Levi's face upward to wipe his younger companion's face. "Because the water is salty, I've already told you this."

He noted that Levi had also gotten water in his mouth, and the first idea that popped into his head was a kiss. Frantic and alarmed, he shoved that thought right back into where it came from, boxing and compartmentalising until he convinced himself that it was sun stroke's fault.
"Here. Float first." Gently, Ty guided his hands to Levi's upper back and upper thighs, picking him up easily off the sandy floor to bring him up to float face-up on the surface. At least he'd be able to keep the dumb boy mostly safe this way. "Gently wave your arms so you can move around. Don't kick or splash around, that'll only get more salt in your eyes."

<div align=center>He knew that the water was salty but why did it sting eyes? Those weren't wounded. He spluttered again as Ty wiped the water from his face, a soft frown crossing his features as he stared up at the older man. "You were right. It tastes bad." He didn't think he was going to be willingly drinking it any time soon. Of course he had absolutely no idea what was going through Tyberius' head, and the notion would likely have made him blush if he had known. He didn't understand what was different about Tyberius, with anyone else he would have seduced circles around them and had them out of their pants by now. He hadn't even attempted it with his room mate, there was something stopping him and he had no clue what it was. Am I unconsciously scared of him? He didn't think so. Ty could be scary, sure. But Levi had never really fully experienced that part of him. Sure, he'd seen it, but Ty had never violently rounded on him. Not yet, at least. Levi rather wanted to keep it that way.

He squirmed a little as he felt Tyberius' hands on him, not really understanding what was going on until it was explained to him. "Float?" He asked, confused. He thought floating was for boats and rubber ducks. He didn't know that people could float. Though he did what Ty had told him to, staring up at him with a bemused sort of look on his face all the while. Glancing down, he found that his tail had snaked it's self up to wrap it's self around his room mate's fore arm.</div>
