She blinked, pausing a slight moment after she heard his comment.

"I...thank you."

Compliments were unusual to Euphemia. She rarely received any, the only ones she could remember being after 'satisfactory' performances after missions. Complimenting something as innocuous as her own name just seemed strange to her.

She filled those thoughts in the back of her head for later, before resuming her steps after Xavi, eyes continuing to roam around the school grounds as she observed her surroundings.

Strangely enough, after all this walking and talking, she was still yet to take a single breath.

"College? I see, that would make you my senior." She notes, shifting her gaze to watch him out of the corner of her eye. "If I may ask, would the errand you have been running so late at night be related to the performing arts department then?

Hiatus
Euphemia's reaction to Xavi's comment about her name made him pause as well, had he said something bad? Did Euphemia not like her name? Well, she probably wouldn't have told it if she didn't like it. Nevertheless Xavi, though Euphemia did thank him moment later, was slightly concerned as he observed Euphemia from the corner of his eye. Should he apologize?

The way how Euphemia kept observing the compound made Xavi smile slightly. He had ogled at it similarly when he had first arrived at the academy, timid and scared but hopeful. His sister had been confident and ready to rule the academy, back then Xavi had still admired her. Less now.

"I guess so. I turned 18 this year."
Xavi smiled and shrugged a bit. He didn't care about seniors or juniors, he treated everyone equally well and respectfully.
"And no, I also run the drama club here at the academy, Curtain Call. We're rather new and have only few members. I'm running errands for the club, some accounting business."

"Is that so?"

She considered this as they approached the entrance to the building. If there was one thing Euphemia understood, it was hierarchy. Obviously, a school couldn't possibly be the same as the structure of the church, but after spending much of her life following the orders of her superiors, paying deference to those above her was familiar. And for now, she wanted familiar. So she puts her analysis on hold for a moment as she listens to Xavi.

"You must be quite busy, managing a club alongside your studies." She notes, respectfully.
