I was wondering, is it possible to have one of those annoying pop-ups like facebook has for responding to threads?

Like the ones that come up saying "Are you sure you want to leave this page? You may not have finished entering information" or some form of that.

I read somewhere else that it is not possible to have an auto-draft-saver-thing, but I don't know how many posts I have lost trying to switch back to my tab and accidentally clicking the "X" instead.

Admittedly, not answering posts when I'm super-tired or in a hurry would also solve this problem, but I wanted to present it.

Pros:
x No accidentally closing out posts

Cons:
x Possibly annoying

In the meantime (or if this never gets implemented) you could do what I do: type your posts out in a word document or something similar, then copy/paste the text onto the site. You still need to remember to type out code, but you get autosaving out of the deal. 'tis a habit I picked up after too many incidents of pressing backspace at the wrong time and accidentally leaving the page.

My workaround having been mentioned, this is still a great idea and I really hope it gets implemented.

^ I write the BBC into the post because I'm lazy and the buttons try to fight me. I have the dilemma that I don't always have access to word or another program, depending on my location.

In an ideal world, this would be an option that could be turned on/off, too. But that sounds like it's 10x more complicated.
