Since getting back on Manta Carlos after he had visit home to see his cousin, Steven had mostly been holed up in his room as normal with only a few visits into town to either relax, train and finally what was the task of today, shop. He was in one of the larger more generalist stores, but the basket in his arm was filled with not much in the way of diversity. Snack foods, caffeine in many forms, tea, coffee, and energy drinks and of course as was always the way with him, a book had managed to sneak into the basket as well. Everything a man could want in holing up in his room again and work while staving off sleep as much as possible.

He had been making his way towards the check outs, when he had noticed the past saying hello out of the corner of his eye. The electronic and entertainment area of the store, with CDs and DVDs. Steven was the sort to download nearly all his non-written form of entertainment, it was easier then having to go shopping, but he was already here and it occurred to him there would probably be CDs from bands he had never heard of on the island. So pausing in his tracks, Steven looked over the CDs to see if their was anything that caught his eye.

"I'll catch you later. Let's see, maybe around nine? Okay, then, eight thirty, see you there," Liliana said as she hung up her phone. She'd meet up with Amber later that evening, maybe catch a movie, maybe one of the new jump scare films out. she mused as she wandered down the aisles with her basket. Her mom had asked her to pick up a few things at the grocery store on her way back from class.

"CDs and DVDs," she murmured, her eye straying to the bargain bin, wondering if there was anything she could add to her movie collection. She actually had an extensive DVD collection of favourite films and films she still intended to watch one day that were still unopened in their packages.

As Steven had been looking over the CDs, he heard a quiet voice nearby him. Turning to see out of curiosity, and wondering if he was being spoken to or not. He could get distracted enough sometime to not realise. Another person was there, a women, but it didn't seem as if her attention was towards him, so her word must not have been either. She seemed focus on the cases in one of the bins.

"Glad to see I'm not the only one tempted to actually buy stuff on disc. These days I'm shocked they managed to make any money on physical sales." Steven said towards her, picking up one of the cases from the bin she was looking into. A CD, music he actaully already owned before he had moved to Manta Carlos and hadn't repurchased. He could of just downloaded it again now that it was in his mind, but might as well support the shops on the island more directly.

Liliana looked up from the bin that she had been about to rifle through when she heard a man's voice addressing her. "I actually collect movies, films on DVD, some TV series,," she said with a friendly grin, "Mostly thrillers, scary movies, B-grade horror stuff," she admitted as she eyed a title she did not have yet.

A collector of movies, interesting. Much in the way Steven tended toward acquiring books constantly. Movies were good, but they tended to end so quickly. "I haven't really watched much in the way of horror. Some psychological thrillers catch my eye thought." Steven replied, he wasn't sure why horror movies didn't entice him, he had certainly read enough horror books.

."Psychological thrillers are good too," Liliana said as she picked up a DVD from the bin, "Like this one is pretty good," she said to him as she held up a movie titled, The Others.

"Not too scary, it's got that Australian actress in it, I think, " she said, not remembering the name of the actress and so flipped the DVD over a scanned the back part. "Nicole something or another," she murmured as she ran her eyes down the back until she found the name she was looking for, "Kidman, Nicole Kidman," she said nodding.

"Not a huge fan of her, but she does some interesting stuff," Liliana said as she gazed at the young man before her somewhat curiously.

Steven didn't know the actress when the women explained it. He tended to not remember the names of them, or what they had done. If he had to explain one he would have been stuck in giving vague descriptions. Steven looked down at his basket and the amount that was already in it, he probably shouldn't but why not. "Well I am always welcome to recommendations."

Reaching out, his hand brushed the women as he moved to take the DVD case off of her, if she would let him and add it to his basket as well. "Not to scary is good too, but then again I tend to spend most of my time alone so I would get too embarrassed if I did freak out." Steven said in passing, trying to think of the last time he had actaully watched a movie with another person.

"Yeah, here," Liliana said as she offered him the DVD when he reached out, "I already have a copy at home. I've, like, watched it three, maybe four times already, and would definitely recommend it," she said agreeably.

"And no, it shouldn't cause any freak outs," she laughed, trying to think if there were any of those moments in the movie and could not quite remember. "you should be fine if you watch it alone, I think... maybe?" she added with a grin.

A movie worth mulitple watches was not common in Steven mind, but he would certainly give the film a go. Though with how the girl tried selling it, maybe he would at least keep the lights on. It didn't sound as if she was beting serious though, her grin following her words made it seem as if she was teasing to him.

"Well if your that cofident." He snipped back sarcatically at her word implying she was unsure. "But if I do freak out you'll just have to watch any later recommendation with me and keep me calm." He said with a chuckle, obviously teasing himself. "I'm Steven by the way. Steven Rosett."

Liliana wasn't quite sure if he was serious or teasing until he added the part about keeping him calm. Shaking her head, she laughed, "I am pretty sure it's not overly scary. But my idea of what's not scary, may not be yours."

"Nice to meet you, Steven. I'm Liliana," she said with a smile.
