It was true, what would freak one person out wouldn't do so for another. "Well as long as there are no prolonged scenes with grusome knife scenes I'd probably be okay." He said, knowing that while seeing someone get stab in a movie wouldn't matter, thriller and horrors tended to have such scene drawn out. That wasn't something he would want to see.

"Either way it's a pleasure." Steven said with a smile of his own. Trying to shift back to the less possibly dark part of the conversation.

"Don´t worry, there are nooo gruesome bits at all," Liliana assured him. "Just a few ghosts here and there," she informed him.

"You are not in high school, are you?" Liliana asked, thinking he was somewhat familiar but not. Like she might know him, but not.

"College." Steven answered. "First year though, but I did do my last year of high school here, last term." Steven explained further. "I'm guessing you are in high school yourself if you're asking?" He asked back in return, flipping the question as it were. Though he could have been wrong in his assumptions, appearances were misleading on this island after all. It reminded him when he had got in trouble because a police officer had accidentally given him alcohol while he was underage, and another officer realised.

"I am, I am in grade eleven actually," she told him. "And that's probably why you seem somewhat familiar," Liliana stated as she looked at Steven and realised that now yes, she had seen him a few times in the past.

Grade eleven? That would make her a couple years younger then him or it would of if she was human like him. He had learned enough already that assuming ages didn't exactly work on the island. "Well if you live on the dorms I suppose I'll see you around again somewhere even if we won't share classes."

"Maybe, who knows? I actually live off-campus, I'm still at home, not the dorms. My parents moved to the island with me when I came here," she informed Steven, knowing she was lucky to have her parents love and support. Not many kids on the island from the human realm did, or so it seemed.

"It's nice actually, though I do wish I could come and go like you guys that live in the dorms. You have way more freedom." she said.

"You live in the dorms then?" she inquired casually.

Steven sighed quietly when Liliana mentioned her family having come with her to the island, when she had come here. That hadn't exactly been an option for Steven, only his cousin knew about his abilities and knew that Steven was here.

"More freedom, probably less in the way of money though. Living in the dorms doesn't really cost anything, but I really need to find some kind of part time job while I'm studying." Steven replied. "But the dorms are good, little travel in the morning to get to classes and stuff like that. Who doesn't like to get a lay in." He added with a small laugh.

"Maybe... I don't know, I have an allowance from my parents, but it's not much either." Liliana admitted as she looked at Steven. "What were you looking to do? After did you want an after-school job or on the weekends?"

"My cousin helps with money when he can, but I try not to abuse it too much." Steven explained, which wasn't entirely accurate. Steven had his vices, and tended to buy too many books on top of that. It was one of the reason he wanted to make some extra money, so he didn't blow through what he did get too quickly. "Probably something after lessons, means I would get the the whole weekend free still." He answered her question. "Something simple though, I spend enough time taxing my mind wouldn't want to burn myself out."

"Probably a store clerk, or maybe even a waiter, or barista would be good choices then," Liliana said considering the other options, jobs, that he might want to apply for.

"Keeping your weekends free is a nice idea," she stated, "At least it allows you to relax after a busy week, get caught up on homework, go out with friends..."

(Sorry, short!)
