"A barista doesn't sound to bad." Steven pulled out of those she had listed off that took his interest. "I spend most of my free time when I'm not studying madly in them already, might as well get paid for some of it." He said with a laugh, even though his time in coffee shops could seem just as much filled with studying as elsewhere.

"Yeah the weeks normally are way too busy, especially when you picked a major inherently out of your depth." He told her, thinking about how it was possible his free weekend if he did get a job during the week would somewhat just become more filled with studying rather the social interaction. He really needed to get out more.

"Yeah, I'd totally like being a barista or a cashier, " she mused, thinking they both options were probably not bad as part-time jobs went.

"What did you major in if you don't mind me asking?" Liliana asked Steven wondering what major he had taken that was so out of his depth. He seemed like the studious type, like a person who didn't have a lot of problems at school... though she had to admit appearances could be deceiving and often were on the island.

"I'm studying Alchemy." Steven answered without hesitating, he didn't mind her asking in the slightest. "It's somewhat out of my depth though." He admitted, proud of his intelligence he might have been but he wasn't going to be arrogant about it.

"I've not exactly know about the strange and wonderful for very long. So I am trying to catch up with those who have had many years an advantage over me." He explained. "Hard yet rewarding. But how about you? Any idea what you might choose to take when you finish high school."

"Alchemy that's a quite complicated skill, idea to master," Liliana said as she automatically put down a DVD she had just picked up. "That's quite impressive," she added as she looked at the young man thoughtfully for a second.

At his question about what she wanted to do after high school, Liliana smiled, "I do have an idea, and it's directly related to my skills, so I am really psyched about it," she told Steven, "I want to be a grief counselor."

Steven smiled in return to her words, about finding his desire to alchemy impressive but Steven didn't actaully feel that impressive. So far his knowledge was theoretical in nature. If you were to ask him the properties and uses of things he might of been able to recall them in detail, but to expect anyone to drink or use something he create would be a test of courage in of itself. "A counsellor, that pretty commendable wanting to do something that helps people." Steven said, wondering how that connected to her abilities, not knowing what they were.

It was starting to dawn on Steven that they had been standing there for quite awhile talking, in the middle of the aisle in a shop. Talking about their lives quite openly. Both in the middle of shopping and seemingly having forgotten that fact. Placing his basket down briefly, Steven pulled a notebook and pen out of his pocket and wrote something down before ripping the page out of the book.

Holding it out to her. "My number, as much as it amazing to chat, this isn't exactly the best place for it. So if you want we could arrange to meet up somewhere at little better." He offered her. "Unless you have nowhere to be after shopping that is?" He asked, implying they could at least move somewhere else rather then blocking the aisle.

It wasn't until Steven handed her his number and pointed out that they had been chatting in the aisle that Natasha actually realised the time. It wasn't that it was late, it was that her mother was waiting at home for her to pick up a few items so she could make dinner and start on her father's birthday cake.

Looking at Steven apologetically, Liliana shook her head, "I can't," she said,"I'd like to go somewhere and talk, but my mom is waiting for me to bring her the ingredients for dinner and my father's birthday cake," she explained as she looked at everything in her basket and realised she still need to pick up some eggs, vanilla and spinach.

"Maybe we can grab coffee sometime soon?" she suggested, having had a very nice time chatting about things.

Steven didn't mind that Liliana told him that she couldn't do anything today. Her reason for being unable to was reasonable, and he was glad he had manage to notice the amount of time they had been using up. He would have hated to have caused her to get back late and spoil her father's birthday.

"That sounds amazing." He answered, it was kind of cliché idea. However seeing as he had mentioned how much time he spent in coffee shops earlier in the conversation it made a lot of sense for the offer she made. Clichés were cliché for a reason after all. "Just hit me up when you want." Steven told her with a smile, before bending down and picking up his basket again. "I hope you dad enjoys his birthday." He told her. He'd give Liliana to answer, before heading on his way and let her get back to her own shopping.

"Great, maybe next week sometime, I just need to double check the student council meetings," she said, pretty sure she was free near the beginning of the following week. "I'll text you first, see if you are free." Liliana said to Steven before she left. "Then we can decide... Anyway, I'll talk to you later, oh, and it was nice meeting you." she said waving good bye as she hurried off to find the last few items on her list.
