Stop that! Samael barked, getting up to his knees and kneeling by Draven's side. No growling at my mother! Samael's mother watched with her mouth wide open as her son punched the huge, furry...creature...that was standing at his bed, having just refereed to it as Draven, his boyfriend that was nowhere to be seen right now even though she was sure they have went to bed together last night. All in all, Samael's mother was very confused.

Bad...whatever you are! Samael continued to scold the black creature, frowning at it dangerously. You know what, you should just change back now. Please? I don't know what to do with you right now, I can't even say what you're feeling! Please? Just...please. he said, quietly, leaning his head against Draven's fur.

This seems complicated, dear. Samael's mother said, looking worriedly at both of them. I'll leave you alone. You don't have to help with the bar today.

The hellhounds growling however, didn't cease and instead only picked up volume and aggression as it prolonged. He did however glance over at Samael as he was being scolded, ears back and a look of confusion on his face . The confusion was momentary and he was right back to growling at Samael's mother.

Though his instincts were much more in control, it seemed Samael's pleading did hit some sort of chord or another. The hound gave out something of a whine and backed up from both Samael and his mother. He shook his head as he did, almost as though he was trying to shake himself free of something. In his mind though, his human intellect was beginning to peak through the animal instinct and was trying to break through, leaving his body to react oddly to the mess of confusion in his mind. Human frustration, animal instinct to protect Samael and a whole cacophony of things contradicting each other.

It seemed as though his more predatory side won out when he gave an aggressive snarl and jumped off the bed like he was making a move to attack Samael's mother. Mid-air however, the hound's body seemingly disintegrated in a burst of fire, only to land as a pile of ash on the floor. From that pile of ash an arm emerged, then another and after came a head of messy black hair. Soon it became apparent that it was Draven, quite literally pulling himself together from the pile of ash as though he was crawling out of a hole, only the ash pile became smaller and smaller as more of him appeared until it had practically disappeared and there on the floor lay a very human Draven. A very human and nude Draven.

He gave a low groan, not moving from his spot of laying face first on the floor and mumbled something under his breath akin to 'I hate instincts'. After all, having shifted back in front of Samael's mother and winding up bare ass naked on the floor was enough, he didn't think she'd appreciate seeing anything more than a full moon in mid-morning.

BTW Draven's hellhound form isn't black lol it's a dark brown with a reddish tint xD

Ah, my bad. Let's just say the dark in the room made it look black? xD

Draven? Samael called, getting off the bed as he carefully approached the man lying on the floor, his mother closing the door behind her as she muttered something under her breath, and he couldn't even be bothered to care what it was now. Her dulled figure disappeared down the stares as he knelt down by Draven's side once again.

Are you alright? he asked, placing a hand to his shoulder, feeling nothing but smooth skin there. The world exploded in front of his eyes again, just as it always did when he touched Draven-or at least always when he was in his human form. Touching his animal shaped had changed nothing, and Samael had some faint idea that it had something to do with feeling emotions, but he was too confused to care about that now.

Can you get up? he asked, his hand moving slowly over Draven's neck and into his hair. Feeling the soft strands under his fingers calmed him somehow, especially after he had spent the last fifteen minutes clutching to fur.

Because you're going up anyway. Samael said, moving his hands under Draven's heavy body and pulling him up as he stood. Come on, back to bed. I can feel you're naked, I don't want you to get sick. And once we're there, you're telling me what the hell happened. Understood?

Sorry if you expected Samael's mother to tease them, I couldn't come up with anything. She'll do it later. Also, Samael feels out of character somehow :/ What do you think?

"I'm fine, I'm fine." Draven chuckled lightly at Samael's worry, gently cupping Samael's face in his hands and stopping him. "And I aint gonna get sick...in case ya didn't notice, my body temperature is higher than a normal humans." He smiled despite the fact that he was now completely nude considering the fact he most likely incinerated his clothing when he shifted the first time. Come to think of it, he couldn't remember when he even shifted but he supposed it was probably a good thing he completely ruined his clothing as it probably helped snuff the flames a bit so he only wound up charring the sheets instead of lighting the entire bed on fire.

"Guess I do have some explainin' to do though..." He trailed off in agreement to the last of what Samael said and with something of a sigh. It wasn't like he disliked or was ashamed of what he was but he wasn't sure how Samael would react to it. Though, now that he's basically experienced it himself, there was really no turning back .

"Come on." He finished with, removing his hands from Samael's face and instead grabbing one of his hands to pull toward the bed.

Samael leaned into Draven's touch as the other cupped his face, thankful that the hand holding him was human, for Draven's animal formed unnerved him a bit, not because he was scared of it, but because, for a moment there, they could not communicate. He had to watch helplessly as Draven kept growling, unable to neither tell him to stop, for he didn't seem to understand him, nor to read what exactly he was feeling, and that didn't sit well with him. He sighed, taking in the warmth as he smiled.

Yeah, I can see that. he said, taking the man's hand as he pulled him towards the bed. Still... he added, leaning onto Draven's chest once they were sitting on the bed, and melting into it. Just in case. The floor is cold. Now that he had mentioned, he couldn't help but notice how much exactly was Draven warmer than him, and how much that warmth soothed him right now. Thus, he pulled once of the man's arms around his shoulder as he leaned comfortable into his chest.

You have a lot of explaining to do. he huffed a bit. I wasn't going to pressure you into it, but that was before I woke up to the giant...whatever you are...trying to nuzzle me into oblivion.

Draven gave a light laugh at Samael's words, finding them somehow amusing despite the situation. He easily allowed Samael to move in closer and get comfortable however he wanted, having pulled a bit of the sheets over his lower half so he wasn't so nude. It was on odd thing, being nude, in bed and with another man who was clothed...just sitting there. Not that he minded being nude but that bit of sheets between them was helpful in keeping any dark thoughts to a minimum. He shook his head before those thoughts could really be called 'thoughts', not wanting Samael to catch on and instead put his focus on the situation at hand.

"Hellhound." He spoke up in response to Samael's 'giant...whatever you are'. "I'm a hellhound...and yer lucky I was doin' that and not tryin' to eat ya....and not in the good way either." He smirked, pausing for a moment.

"And before ya ask...I dun turn invisible or drag souls to hell....those are myths." He pointed out, not wanting to go through that again.

Don't you think you should keep sexual implications to a minimum considering that you are sitting on my bed while being very much naked, with both of my parents just listening for something downstairs? Samael asked a bit drily as his mind tried to process the new information.

So, his new boyfriend was a hellhound. But he didn't drag souls to hell. Or turn invisible. He just turned in a giant love child of a wolf, dog and bear that occupied half of his bed, threatening to break it with his weight while growling at his mother.

Good. he said, slapping suddenly Draven at the beck of his head. Now I know what to call you. Bad hellhound! How dare you growl at my mother? he huffed, annoyed, before soothing the place he had slapped with his fingers. Honestly, though. It is fine if you have to shift, but, could you give me a little warning next time? he shivered, burring himself closer into Draven's chest. I can't tell what you're feeling when you're like that. It is...confusing. And the fact that he got scared when he couldn't tell what the other was feeling only went to show how much he had gotten used to this connection they shared.

And why did you turn in the first place anyway?

"Mmmm....sorry, but I am nude and in yer bed...so it's a little dificult not to." Draven shot back with a smirk which only faltered when he was hit upside the head.

"Ah-hey!" He went to defend himself but stopped short as Samael scolded him for growling at his mother. That made him stop and think for a moment and when everything that happened came clear to him, or at least as clear as it could get trying to remember what he experienced as a hellhound, while thinking from a human perspective.

"...Right....sorry 'bout that." He apologized, feeling guilty about the whole thing and wrapping his other arm around Samael, holding him close. What the hell was he thinking?! What if he had hurt her, or Samael for that matter! Maybe this was a bad idea...maybe this whole thing was a bad idea; he was irresponsible. Rafi was killed because of a stupid decision and because he was unable to protect him, his family was killed because he wasn't there to protect them either and made the stupid decision to leave in a huff instead of being there for them. Was this another bad decision? How would he be able to protect Samael or even his parents from himself if things got out of hand?

However much he was doubting himself at the moment, he didn't let go of Samael and rather, he clung to him as though he would somehow float right out of his grasp. "I..." He started up again, shoving those feelings to the side as was habit by now. "I'm not really sure. I've...never accidentally shifted in my sleep before...so this is new for me too." He gave a half smile. "Sorry if I freaked ya out."

It's alright. Samael said, feeling Draven's sudden insecurity even though the other tried to push it away and knowing that he had to be very careful with what he said. He didn't want Draven feeling like that, he didn't want the other to push him away, but he also didn't want to lie. You didn't freak me out. that much it was true. He had figured Draven was a shifter days ago, that growl being his first clue, and once his sleepy mind made the connection he had calmed down. What pushed him into asking Draven to change back wasn't the form itself, but the fact that they couldn't communicate.

I...I just got frustrated. he said quietly, still clinging to Draven and his warm embrace. You were moving around, and I still couldn't see clearly and was sleepy and the bed begin to crack, and even when I figured it was you you didn't respond to what I said and your feelings were all mixed up, and then my mother came in... Samael took a deep breath and stop, realising that what he was doing wasn't going to help. I just got overwhelmed. he said, in the end, leaning his head into Draven's shoulder. I'll do better next time. he chuckled, brushing his fingers over the nape of Draven's neck. So don't worry. And... you do realise that you have used the same reasons I had, just for different cause?

Draven hummed lightly under his breath as Samael spoke, gently running his fingers through his hair as he did. He stayed silent for a moment after Samael stopped speaking and considered the last of his words, cracking a small smile as it dawned on him.

"I'm sorry to've made ya feel that way." He apologized once again, now realizing how that must have been for Samael.

"When I'm like that..." He paused for a beat, toying with a strand of Samael's hair in between his fingers as he thought. "I aint really all there." He paused again, searching for the right words to make sense of what he meant.

"I mean I'm still me and all but I aint like how I am now....it's kinda complicated really; everythin' 'bout the way I understand the word now is different. It's all instinct and animal senses and dependin' on how restless that side ah me is, the more difficult it is to connect thin's from instinct to my human mind. " He paused again. "Ahh...I probably aint makin' much sense.." He trailed off for a moment, going back to toying with Samael's hair and trying to find a better way to explain it.

"It's like...ok....most humans rely a lot on their sight and tellin' people and thin's apart from that, right?" He started again, knowing that Samael's own sight was different and unknowing if this would really make sense to him. "Well, I dun see so good in that form...color's dulled and thin's get real blurry and it aint too easy to tell who's who by what they look like. It's easier to tell who or what somethin' is by it's movement and smell and since in my human form I recognize people by sight and not the other two... in my hellhound form, what I know to be familiar is pretty much gone and it aint easy to connect the two a lot of the time." He paused once again, his smile widening as another thought came to mind.

"Sleepin' in the same bed and spendin' so much time with ya though, yer scent's already all over me..." He gave a light laugh at that, trailing off and hoping Samael could make sense of it from there.
