And the ships going down.

Explosions filled the air, noise drowning out Shawn as he shouted orders as loud as he could. The traditional looking sky ship 'The Crane' under heavy fire from the sleek metallic monsters of the imperic air navy. It was all that the crew could do to keep themselves alive by avoiding as best they could, meaning even their smaller faster ship was unable to escape. Was this it, had they finally been caught and beaten. Not today, Shawn resolved to himself. Scanning his eyes across the sky for some option. Then he saw it, the storm. Rushing to the helm of the ship, he pushed the boson out of the way and took control himself. Turning sharply and pushing the ship to it limit to try and reach the storm. He knew what kind of storm it was, a magical storm, one that if entered could end up pretty much doing anything. It was a crazy desperate attempt to get his ship, his crew away from the enemy and the fate that would befall them if caught. More explosions smashed the back of the ship, and Shawn did all he could to hold the ship up. To stay in the air long enough to make but some how did. Entering the storm lightning tore the across the ship. His crew running in every direction to take cover as they started to go down.

As they broke through the underside of the storm there were shouts of confusion from some of the crew. "What' going on lads?" Shawn shouted to the crew. One of the men looking over the side turned to him. "Captain we ova new seas, ne'er seen Islands like these." The man shouted back, just before the ship lurched violently the bow dipping quickly. "Hell's bells, hold on men." Shawn shouted even louder as the ship lost height, faster and faster descending towards the largest of the islands below, no matter how hard he tried to pull up.

Cursing under his breath Shawn saw the building of the city below and paniced. "Brace lads, this won't be fun." Shawn order as instead of trying to pull up any longer he swung the helm to the side, aimming the ships fall to the only large open piece of land he could see. 'The Crane' smashed into the ground, snapping metal and wood, smokes and screams from both panicing parkgoers that had fleed where they were going to crah as well as his own crew from injuries surstained. Shawn had managed to leap aside at last second, being thrown clear of the ship and landing on the grass next to the crash. Forcing himself to stand with a loud grunt of pain he held his ribs. "Some assitants, if you would anyone." He called out into the park confused by the design of the city around him but ignoring it as he tried to turn and climb abord the wreak of the ship to assit his crew. Broken ribs preventing from much success.

Rose and Azalea were spending a fairly normal afternoon sparring in a rather verdant and peaceful park they'd discovered walking around the city that was now their home. Their slender, single-edged, flared-tip elven blades glinted in the waning sunlight as they arced and danced in the cool winter air, ever seeking an opening in their opponent's guard to exploit.

And an opening certainly came, but neither twin took advantage of it, for suffice it to say it was equally distracting to them both, and to be sure, the scene unfolding before them seemed quite a bit more important than their leisurely afternoon training.

As the Skyship scraped a thick trail of destruction and screeched to a halt, the twins deftly tumbled and rolled out of the way.

"I do believe we shall have to finish our duel sometime later, dear sister. It would seem some sailors over there might could benefit from our assistance," Said Azalea as they sheathed their blade and started jogging over to the ship.

"I would have to concur, Zelly, now shut up and let's go see if we can help," replied Rose with a smirk as she followed.

The pair were clad today in the traditional garb for a Snowflower clan bandrui, or druidess; a fairly scant uniform of a forest green asymetrical waistwrap with their clan's emblem emblazoned across it, a chestrwrap of the same color fastened over the right shoulder with a smaller clan emblem over the left breast, ankle boots with silver filgree depicting a vine wrapping around the ankle and down to the toes, and fingerless elbow-length gloves with an emblem of an oak leaf embroidered on the palms.

"Sir? You look injured. Don't worry, I'm a healer, I can help, if you'll allow it" Azalea held their hands up as if to reach out and examine Shawn's injuries, but waited to get his permission first.

"What in the hells happened here? And more importantly, how can we help?" asked Rose, her head darting around, taking in the scene and observing as many details as she could.

One hand over his head, fingers digging into the wooden facade of the ship. Shawn tried to pull himself up, gritting his teeth hard as his side screamed in pain at him. Giving in, he dropped the couple inches he had managed to pull himself up landing on his feet. It was then he heard the sound of footstep approaching him from behind. Turning he saw the pair of them, one of them holding their hands up and asking for permission to heal him. The other asking what had happened and if they could help.

Turning to look at the healer of the pair first he spoke. "Well that depends, if healing me won't stop being able to heal others, go for it. If not..." Shawn looked over his shoulder at the ship. "I think you should save it for my men, they likely need more aid then I." Shawn explained before turning to the second of twins. "As for help, do you think you could get us up onto the ship so how. Normally I'd be able to but I'm understandable shaken." Shawn groaned before muttering under his breath. "Blasted empire and forcing us into that damn magical storm."

Shaking his head to gather himself, another idea of what might help occurred to him as well. "Maybe tell me where on Gaia this is?" Shawn asked Rose, not yet having realised that in truth the storm had done more then just throw them across the world, but across worlds.

Azalea placed a hand on Shawn's chest, feeling with their fingertips for any damage. They tried to be gentle but Shawn would likely feel some pain from this as Azalea brushed against the cracked ribs.

"You're not badly injured, just so--" Azalea's speech stopped abruptly as they winced in pain and instinctively put their free hand to their forehead. There was panic and pain everywhere. Confusion, fear, worry, and terror in the face of death, whether real or imagined. It was difficult to maintain control of their faculties with so many potent and overwhelming emotions surging around them.

No, they needed to focus. Lives could be saved if they could just focus, and push the noise aside, lives that might otherwise be lost...

Azalea struggled to continue speaking and examining their patient, but renewed their resolve and took a deep breath.

"Just...some broken bones and a few scrapes is all. I'll have them...healed up momentarily."

Azalea removed their right glove and closed their eyes. They made to adjust and/or remove Shawn's shirt to access the injured area, and--assuming he allowed them to do so--placed their hand on the most obviously injured area, as water vapor to coalesce around their outstretched hand, weaving intricate misty patterns on and around Shawn's wounds, and emitting a faint sound almost like a whispered voice. Within just a few seconds, Shawn's wounds would be completely healed, and his chest fairly damp from the whispering vapors.

"Well, let's go, no time to waste" said Rose as she clambered up the side of the ship, holding out a hand once she was up." Thanks to Zelly there you can help us help your crew yourself"

Azalea took their sister's hand and was helped up the side of the wreck. Rose then extended her hand again to pull Shawn up.

"And um, as for where you are...I think that might take a little white to explain, so let's save that for after this little emergency's over." Rose said with a slightly nervous smile.

Shawn nodded when Zelly, at least that what the second of the pair call them, made it clear that it would be fine to heal him, and didn't try to them doing so. Even going to the effort to hold his shirt up and out of the way so that they could place their hands on his chest and the broken ribs underneath. It was an odd feeling as he felt the pain subside. Certainly not the sort of healing that he was used to. "Thank you." He replied, and let his shirt drop before stretching his arms to see how effective it had been, he was certainly impressed.

Turning to the second of the pair, after he was healed he was also impressed how quickly they managed to climb the side of the ship and help the first up before extending an arm to them. Shawn jumped and grabbed it and let them help pull him up. However no longer distracted by pain and off the ground, Shawn added a little boost of air beneath him to help him climb aboard even faster.

"Well if it is going to take tie to explain then it can wait as you say." Shawn said, with a nod to Rose and looked around the broken deck of 'The Crane'. "Is everyone ship shape lads?" He called out and more rudely then he intended to push passed the pair who had helped him and rushed to the side of one of the men laid up on the ground. There were a couple of calls, from those who injuries were more minor already trying to help those who weren't so well off. "I have help here." Shawn told the crew in a loud voice and turned to look back at the twins.

By the time Shawn turned to look at the twins, they were already sprinting down the deck of the wrecked airship. Azalea saw the injured people scattered around the ship, their pain and fear burning like hot coals in Azalea's mind as they turned all their attention to triage, running from patient to patient, assessing their condition, and attempting to treat them starting with the most severely wounded.

"Rose, that one there doesn't have a pulse, try and restart his heart. You there, that's only a scratch, you can help me with the others, this one's in bad shape, apply pressure here while I stabilize him. And someone get me a bucket of clean water if you can, collecting it from the air takes time we don't have, and energy I've in limited supply. No, don't worry about him...I'm sorry, but he's dead, and even my magic can't bring him back at this point. You can mourn him later, right now we need to worry about those we can save. Does anyone besides me have any proficiency in the healing arts? Be it magical or mundane, I could use the help."

While Azalea scurried around with a focus in their eyes so sharp it could cut steel, Rose busied herself with the two or three crew members whose hearts had stopped beating but recently enough to be restarted. She looked up at Shawn while her hands were pressed against the bare chest of a crew member, an electrical charge arcing between her fingertips like defibrillator paddles as the crew member heaved, then opened their eyes, confused but alive.

"Well don't just stand there! If you want your crew to live, bring my sister some water!"

Conal and Astraea wandered Oceania Park trying to get used to their new home. They were unsure of how they felt being in such a different place.

Astraea noticed the boat first. Without a word to her twin, she pointed to the wreckage.

Conal reluctantly followed Astraea, though he did make sure to match her pace. He carefully climbed the wreckage with her, not sure how his twin was expecting to be of help.

Astraea glanced at Conal before responding to one of the people. "My twin and I are healers. We are more effective working together."

Didn't she ask for a bucket of water? Conal thought to his twin.

"I might also be able to help clean wounds or otherwise conjure water, while Conal can possibly cauterize wounds that need it. Where should we start?"
