Explosions filled the air, noise drowning out Shawn as he shouted orders as loud as he could. The traditional looking sky ship 'The Crane' under heavy fire from the sleek metallic monsters of the imperic air navy. It was all that the crew could do to keep themselves alive by avoiding as best they could, meaning even their smaller faster ship was unable to escape. Was this it, had they finally been caught and beaten. Not today, Shawn resolved to himself. Scanning his eyes across the sky for some option. Then he saw it, the storm. Rushing to the helm of the ship, he pushed the boson out of the way and took control himself. Turning sharply and pushing the ship to it limit to try and reach the storm. He knew what kind of storm it was, a magical storm, one that if entered could end up pretty much doing anything. It was a crazy desperate attempt to get his ship, his crew away from the enemy and the fate that would befall them if caught. More explosions smashed the back of the ship, and Shawn did all he could to hold the ship up. To stay in the air long enough to make but some how did. Entering the storm lightning tore the across the ship. His crew running in every direction to take cover as they started to go down.
As they broke through the underside of the storm there were shouts of confusion from some of the crew. "What' going on lads?" Shawn shouted to the crew. One of the men looking over the side turned to him. "Captain we ova new seas, ne'er seen Islands like these." The man shouted back, just before the ship lurched violently the bow dipping quickly. "Hell's bells, hold on men." Shawn shouted even louder as the ship lost height, faster and faster descending towards the largest of the islands below, no matter how hard he tried to pull up.
Cursing under his breath Shawn saw the building of the city below and paniced. "Brace lads, this won't be fun." Shawn order as instead of trying to pull up any longer he swung the helm to the side, aimming the ships fall to the only large open piece of land he could see. 'The Crane' smashed into the ground, snapping metal and wood, smokes and screams from both panicing parkgoers that had fleed where they were going to crah as well as his own crew from injuries surstained. Shawn had managed to leap aside at last second, being thrown clear of the ship and landing on the grass next to the crash. Forcing himself to stand with a loud grunt of pain he held his ribs. "Some assitants, if you would anyone." He called out into the park confused by the design of the city around him but ignoring it as he tried to turn and climb abord the wreak of the ship to assit his crew. Broken ribs preventing from much success.
