(Character: Alistair Fordren)
How he managed to actually get in was anybody's guess. In all honesty, he could get in serious trouble for this. It wasn't only rule-breaking, it was law breaking. After all, he wasn't a student here. He had managed to sneak - and maybe persuade - his way in earlier in the day. He was able to maintain a relatively low profile - even hiding in a closet at one point - until it was after hours. But now, not only was he a trespasser - at a school, nonetheless - but one could add theft and breach of security onto his list of crimes. Indeed, he would be in jail for a rather long time if it was found out what he was doing.
It wasn't difficult, though. At least, not for one such as himself. It took a bit of patience - okay, a lot of it - to get that glass of water. But he had brought the sleeping drug with him. After all, he had planned this entire thing from the start. The janitor was easily convinced to drink it after a long day of work - conveniently disregarding the fact that a student was wandering about suspiciously after hours. Soon enough he was sleeping, and Alistair predicted 3 hours, 14 minutes, and 52 seconds before he would wake up, judging by the man's age, weight, and body structure. Give or take a few minutes.
But that was plenty of time to unlock the door to the computer lab and begin hacking into one of the computers. They were well protected, indeed. But he probably knew how to hack into one of these better than the administrator(s) knew how to keep the information protected. He managed to use the computer to access the school's files, and began scanning them for any possibility of "it" becoming involved in a student (or teacher's) life. Yes, it was highly illegal. Yes, it was a dangerous task that could end up with him thrown in jail. But was it worth the possibility of saving everyone's life?
Considering what he was, the answer was indubitably yes. He just hadn't counted on any other students being up this late, it was well after midnight after all. He merely just hoped no one would catch him.
