To say it had been an annoying day was putting it mildly. Snoogins, as he referred to himself now more often then not, had woken up with one of his eyes inoperable. This meant that he was half blind, a situation he wanted to remedy as quickly as possible. After getting dressed he took a walk down town and started to look about for some sort of repair shop, at least one that would be capable of fixing whatever was wrong with his optics.

At first his search was rather fruitless and he was unable to really find anyplace that seemed to fit the bill and around noon he decided to take a break for lunch. The one thing about still be partly human was that he did indeed need to eat and all that, though by all the people gawking at the silver circuit board pattern on his skin it seemed most assumed he was just a robot or something.

He was in the middle of his meal when someone had placed a flyer on his table, something about an electric repair shop. He wasn't sure if it was because of the pattern on his skin or what but whoever it was again probably assumed he was a robot or would need something from there. Stuffing it in his pocket he decided to visit after he ate and that is what he did.

Walking in he took a brief look around before making his way to the counter and waiting there.

Eli was in charge mode when the costumer entered, a mode that could be thought of how a human sleeps to get their energy. She lifted her head up, like a doll which slowly starts to move and her eyes turned red for a brief moment before they changed back to her otherwise green eyes. She had assumed correct, that there was indeed a costumer, her red eyes had allowed her to see organics, though this one wasn't fully organic.

The business part of the local was lit, but the back rooms wasn't though sometimes you could see a flickering of light. The flickering light came from the owner, left the TV on, it calmed her. Eli really didn't really want to move or deal with someone or something sentient, however she needed to pay the bills and she just loved fixing the things people brought her, those things where like toys a kid gets for Christmas.

"Coming" The word could be heard clearly from the dark room she was in, never once turning on the lights, well aside from the main business area, which as mentioned was already lit. Yawning and stretching her arms as she left the room.

With a hoodie on and a headset around her neck, the headset cable was old and had been ripped apart, just dangling. Two steps more and she was on the opposite side of the counter, facing her costumer. What would she get to fix now she wondered with a smile. But when she locked, moving her head to trying to see what wasn't there, she didn't see it.

Dropping the smile, looking right at him "What can I do for you?" Oh, she noticed, she just ignored it, for now.

Snoogins looked at the girl through the sunglasses with his one good eye, whoever this was they were not human. This would probably be the most promising visit he had made so far today.

Taking a moment to look her over the cyborg wasn't sure exactly what he would be dealing with here but he was pretty sure she was synthetic. This could prove to be useful in the future though, maybe he could use her in some future endevor.

"Name's Micheal, most just call me Snoogins. For reasons." He just smiled at her and shrugged. "And I am in need of your services, and yes I can pay for it."

Pulling out a pack of cigarettes he pulled one out as well as a lighter and then lit the small white stick as he inhaled deeply, clearly not noticing or caring if smoking was even allowed or not. After exhaling he leaned down on the counter.

"Well, I have a need to get something fixed. Electrical and all, kinda like a lens or something." Looking around to make sure no one else was around he took off his sunglasses and looked her in the eyes, one of his having gone dark. "I emphasis the 'or something' part".

"Sigh" Eli din't let her displeasure be a secret, her costumer hadn't brought a present and to boot wanted her to fix him. What did he think she was, a hospital for the mechanical advanced? But instead of arguing and scaring of real costumers it would be better to patch him up and send him his way.

Lazy as she was she let her calling card speak for her, pointing to a stack of them on the counter which said her name and the name of her business (First side & Second side), the stack had the first side up however some costumer at an earlier date turned a few out of curiosity, a few which was laying seemingly random on the counter.

She didn't bother much that he smoked however costumers may complain about the smell, then again if she was gonna patch him of and send him away, while considering that he had already lit the thing, further arguments would be a waste of energy.

"Alright, step into the room behind me"The very same room she came from, still flickering from the silent TV. As she hit the light switch one could se many things, you couldn't touch one wall because of how many broken chairs there was next to it, on another was a flat screen, computer and a bunch of different consoles. The floor was no different, it was littered with electrical items dissembled items or not. There was however a clear pathway through the room which led to the most inner part, where her chair where.Very different from the clean business ares.

Snoogins picked up one of the cards and gave it a quick gander, was that really her name? There is no way it could be, unless the people who named her had a sick sense of humour. If it was self picked then that was a different story! He could respect a person with a healthy liking for puns.

"Heh, puns" he said quietly after chuckling to himself. "Nice."

Putting the card away in his coat pocket the man took a deep inhale of the cigarette, since he wasn't told not to, and then exhaled while looking around. The store itself seemed pretty empty and he was wondering if it was a daily occurrence, if so he could totally use that.

"Not many people here today it would seem" he mentioned as he made his way back to the area she had indicated for him to go to. "Is it normally this dead?"

He had not really asked the question to get a response as it seemed as soon as it left his mouth it was followed by a torrential down pour of words.

"Because if it is this place would be perfect!" he looked at her and smiled. "See in my old job, before the island, I was part of a brokering system, info and tech mostly, and we had a business as a front! Now mind you we didn't always own most of what we sold technically speaking but they say possession is nine tenths of the law or something like that!"

He made it to the room indicated, still speaking as he did, he found a chair that was covered in stuff and pushed it off onto the floor for him to sit down. There was one chair that had already been cleared but he assumed it was hers and people tend to get finicky about where they sit.

"Still, I want to set up something like that on this island since it might turn out to be profitable." Scratching at his chin a bit he just shrugged. "Something to think about at least, this place would make a good front."

Blinking it seemed like the real reason he was here was sinking in.

"OH! Right, my eye." He looked up at her and smiled that charming smile of his again. "So tell me doc, is it salvageable?"

What would you name yourself if you needed a name, knowing that you where a creation, in other words a device. DeVice was as good as any to use. It bothered her because it came from Snoogins, once more she let it go, sort of, she was gonna get payback.

Waiting for him to sit down and intending on making a joke on his account once the question dropped about the amount of traffic she had "It is because you are he..", her right eye flinched as he interrupted her, oh he was so gonna get it.

Once seated, Eli would have some fun and placed her knee firmly yet quickly between his legs, close to his genital area, yet never to actually go so far up as to touch the clothes around that area. the idea was that his eyes would catch a glimpse of the action, his eye problem could even help in this and the force to create a bounce in the chair. Forcing or shocking the mind to, for a second to think that the manly bits where attacked. Smiling because, should he be a generic man getting angry or if more sensitive even to go so far as to go to the cop, who would they believe? A seemingly honest business woman vs someone like him.

Though aside mental abuse, she had put the knee there for a reason. To lean on to the chair pushing it around with the other leg on the floor to get what she would call better mobility. Eli could just walk to get to different tools or lenses but this way she just needed to use the strength in one leg, effectively halving the work needed to move around. Did he just ask her if she wanted to use her store as a front?

"Sir I am an honest business woman." That might have been her words though followed came two obvious false coughs. If he was an undercover cop she was confident she could fool him into thinking that the coughs where a quirk or trait she didn't liked. Should he however actually ask then she would have to consider the deal with a few of her own terms.

The cyborg would like to think that he reacted pretty calmly to the whole knee thing, and if anyone asked that is probably what he would tell them too. He surely wasn't going to say that he jumped a bit when a small robot girl or something put a knee rather close to his sensitive bits. Still, all in all, he did handle it pretty well despite this. Didn't freak out or yell or anything! It wasn't good to piss off the one person who might be able to fix you.

Then she went on about being an 'honest business women' with obviously fake coughs.

"RRriiigggghhhhhtttttt" was his reply with an obviously doubtful look. "And I am the robo-pope."

He made the sign of the cross before continuing on.

"Blessings upon thee!" Snoogins just sort of snorted a bit after doing that and shaking his head. "Seriously though, it is something to keep in mind. I am new here so having a place to start off would be great. Plus I don't think I could do an 'honest days work' even if they had a gun to my head."

The cyborg tilted his head to the side for a second.

"Funnily enough I think that has actually happened before."

A mischievous grin crept up upon her face, the fact that he hadn't flinched or said anything actually translated to him actually reacting, just that he was good at pretending otherwise. Eli did indeed notice the silence right after she had placed her knee on the chair and that was enough evidence.

Robo pope, ha. That was a good joke, he was either a really good undercover cop or the idea was real. Deciding to go against her better judgement and accept the proposal of having a front, hoping to claim that she was only going along with it out of fear if it turned out that he was actually a cop.

"You will bring toys?" For the first time since their meeting each other, she shone with anticipation and hope that maybe he could be the one to kill her nemesis, at least for a longer period. Eli considered boredom her nemesis, an entity which needed to die, which also had the ability to be revived. Toys was basically any mechanical item which she could play with, be it actual toys, radios, weapons or anything else.

The chair was one of those which had wheels, which made moving about the room gathering tools the way she did, so much more efficient then if the chair would have lacked the wheels. In which case she would have to move about on two legs.

"Alright, be still!" She blushed not a second after, well actually the technology advanced synthetics or fake skin was programmed to act accordingly and she was gonna sense him, touch him and feel the circuits all the way to the core. Eli hadn't done this to a sentient before, though it is what she used to find errors and other problems, to gain an understanding of all the problems and to be through, rather then making things barely passable.

She didn't know whether or not it could be felt by the receiver, though she had theorized that it may be like what a human experiences when they say their foot is asleep, though moving about like a blood vein. Due to the process there was no need to inspect the hole where the eye had once been, nor to poke it, though she chose to simply hold his head in place until she was done feeling the problems out.

"Oh plenty of toys and information! Enough to keep everyone happy and in enough money to get even more toys and the like!" The Cyborg said this with a smile of course. "Well at least that is the dream. We start with the small and work our way up to the big! Still, the better we do the more there is to go around! Still should be a heck of a ride one way or the other!"

He wasn't going to lie to her, embellish a little maybe but not lie. He had done this stuff before but without the backing of the company behind him Snoogins knew it was going to take a bit of time to build up. He was about to explain further but then he was ordered to not move and did so. He had noticed, with his one good eye, that she had blushed. If she was fully synthetic and not a hodge podge of flesh and machine like he was then whoever made her had done a wonderful job.

If she was to look close enough she would be able to see that the problem with his eye was rather simple. A loose connection in the eye itself as well as to the rest of the system. In other words some wires came out and needed to be put back in!

It may have been a simple problem but he was never taught self repair, what was the point? He had been seen as property so why give him that little bit of independence? Plus it was a good way to ensure he always came back to them if things went wrong. Hopefully though if all went well he would not only have a new empire in the making here, but someone who could fix him up or even teach him to do so in the future!

Take that you company jerks!

The thought lingered in his head as he waited to her what the diagnosis was.

It would be like Christmas every day, with a new toy to play with and while she wasn't this exited about processing information, it would at least be something to do for some moments, which was always a good thing.

Call her ability troubleshooting, fixing behind the scene problem was easy enough though she had to connect it to a camera lens as Eli didn't have that type of tech lying around. But upon completion she stooped focusing on the one eye to see the difference.

"Hmm, it would be a shame if the eye doesn't have the same color as the other.", somehow Eli was quite familiar with the color or technology to get the color that hue, of the one good eye he had. Undoing her work to reconstruct the eye with the help of the second part of her power, first to sense and second to repair. It should feel good as new.

"I may be interested, though I need to know you ain't a cop." Which meant she needed to do background checks, but what she was really interested in was to find out more about his eyes, Eli recognized the handiwork and that scared her.
