Well, he'd certainly talked to them. He just wasn't quite sure what to make of it, and he released Aren, taking a quick step back to get some much needed space.
"Yes," Jude said. "They told me some stuff. Gave me some... context about what you are and what's happening to you."
Aren’s smile quickly faded when Jude said that the answers weren’t very good. “O-Oh. I-I’m sorry....I just thought.....” Aren shook his head a little. “Nevermind. What did you learn?”
Aren obeyed Jude and sat down onto one of the benches. With how Jude was acting Aren couldn’t even pretend to be hopeful now. Things were not going as good as he had hoped. Not one bit.
Once Jude explained what had happened Aren was dead quiet. He was carefully processing what he could even do in this situation. “Do you know who this Red King is? Like an identity behind this mysterious title?”
Jude shrugged. "Not someone from this world," Jude said. "From the other world. He was the previous Throne, which is what you are now. The implication he gave was that you knew who he was, or that you'd met somehow, or something like that."
Jude didn't like any of what he'd just said, and it showed on his face, the frown obvious.
“I see...did he give you a name or anything? If you said he was implying I knew him he had to give you a name.” Aren was digging through a well of past memories, trying to find any clue of who this person was. Every memory came up negative though sadly.
