An apology

Thinking back on it, Anastasia wasn't sure why she'd agreed to go to a maid cafe at all. It had been so spur of hte moment - so guilt induced - that she'd simply agreed. Only it was pretty much the very last thing she would ever want to do. She didn't like women. For that matter, she barely liked men. She simply had no interest in leering at anyone in a skimpy outfit, and as far as she knew, that was exactly what a maid cafe was for.

She emerged from the showers with her hair still damp, her workout clothes tucked neatly away in a bag. No smells - it was all closed in a sealed plastic bag, to be dealt with when she got back to her dorm. There was no sign of Olivia just yet, so she waited just outside the girl's change rooms, wondering if she could get out of it somehow.

Anastasia was fine with the girl's uniform. It wasn't her preferred outfit, but then neither was the men's, which was too tight for her tastes. She preferred something relaxed, with a wide range of movement, and neither uniform really offered her that. If she'd been forced to pick without any limitations, it probably would have been the girls, just because it was easier to run in a skirt if you ignored the whole modesty issue.

She nodded quickly. "Let's get going then. I assume you know the location?" Olivia had suggested it, so she was hoping she knew exactly where it was. Anastasia wasn't familiar enough with the city to know where a maid cafe would be hiding, and she wasn't willing to get that sort of thing in her phone search history.

They headed out quickly, and Anastasia felt her gut give an uncomfortable twist. A maid cafe. What... what did one even do at a maid cafe? She knew what they were, but what else was there? Did they just eat? Was there something she was missing? She pondered those questions as they headed downtown, and about halfway there she finally broke, deciding that asking was the only way she could be prepared.

"So... what does one do at a maid cafe exactly?" Because she had absolutely no idea.

Oh good lord. The explanation could have not have been less appealing to her. The only thing she was even interested at all was the 'dinner' part of it. At least there would be food, but the rest of it?

She took a seat, looking equal parts pale and stiff as she looked over the menu. Food. She could eat food. But the way everyone was dressed? It was making her profoundly uncomfortable. She snuck glances around the cafe, not at all sure what to make of it, and then made a snap decision based on the menu. She wasn't going to sit around, considering what to eat.

Did... Olivia actually like this? Anastasia was starting to wonder if perhaps she wasn't being messed with. Maybe she didn't like it at all, and the whole thing... or maybe it was another reason?

"Do you know someone who works here?" That would make it slightly more understandable to Anastasia. Supporting places where your friends worked was certainly logical, especially if the food was good. She could overlook that much.
