Oh god. Anastasia just went redder, resisting the urge to hide her face behind her hands. "I am sure you are not - my, ah, first." It sounded so wrong. "I simply didn't know anyone who was. It wasn't the sort of thing you admitted, back in Russia." You just didn't. Probably at least some of her friends were, but they'd never said anything about it. It simply wasn't the kind of thing you said.

Ahhh, it was awkward, but at least it was awkward for both of them. That was a step up as far as Anastasia was concerned, although it occurred to her that it looked like they were on a date, with both of them embarrassed like that... ahh, things were just getting worse, weren't they?

The food was a pleasant distraction, and she grabbed a pair of chopsticks, clumsily pinching a piece of tempura shrimp and taking a bite. It wasn't the worst she'd had, but it wasn't the best either. Probably the food was a secondary focus to the whole theme.

"It is nothing to be awkward about. It is simply a different culture here - the islands take more after the Americas." And she supposed Europe, but the American influence seemed the strongest to her. There were a lot of American accidents floating around.

Olivia grabbed a knife and cut her burger in half, she usually just dug right into it, but part of her wanted to not eat so grossly infront on Anastasia, the situation was already a little bit awkward...

"Yeah I guess so, ive only every really lived in Alaska and here though."

She took a bite from her burger, it was alright, but the main focus of the restaurant was to have good presentation.

"Alaska?" Wasn't there some joke she'd heard about Alaska and Russia? It tickled some part of her brain to think of it, but at the moment she couldn't really remember.

"Well, I imagine Alaskan culture is similar to the rest of America." Which was an assumption, but it was one she thought of as a safe assumption. It was part of America, so why shouldn't it be the same? Of course, it hadn't occurred to her that it would be very similar to someone assuming all of Russia would have the same culture, when really it varied quite heavily across the country. Parts were cold and icey, parts took heavily after chinese culture, and others were closer to the middle east in both weather and culture. Anastasia herself had moved around, but mostly lived closer to the center of the country.

"Hmmm... it might be the same, but I dont really know, like I said I only ever really lived there and here."

She took another bite out of her burger, still trying not to eat in a way that would be considered gross. "I guess where I lived in Alaska is pretty similar to here, cept without all the snow and bears."

Ahh, without all the snow and bears. "I did live in Siberia once - but only for a little bit. A few months, because my father was stationed there." She winced, showing a rare glimpse of emotion. Her father. Not her biological father, as she'd found out too recently. Only had her father actually been there? For all she knew, he had, and the whole placement had been to see him again. It would be just like winter to hang out in Siberia.

"I suppose you don't have much to compare it to then." She could only shrug. "Have you been on the island long?" She would have even less to compare to if she was new to the island, but Anastasia would guess that Olivia had been there long enough to be comfortable enough with the island to do comparisons like that. She'd probably been there for a few years at least.

"Well ever sense my powers became dormant ive lived here, I do leave every once in awhile to visit my dads though." she was really excited thinking about visiting them again.

But just then a few of the maid cafe waitresses all appeared in the restaurant standing in a line, Olivia looked over excited. "Oh I think theyre going to preform!"

"Your powers became dormant?" There was story there as far as Anastasia was concerned. She had no idea what the girl could or couldn't do, but she wasn't even aware of the fact that powers could become dormant. Could powers just go away? Could her power just go away, or was it with her for life?

Of course, the entire train of thought was derailed when the maids all came out, and Olivia looked downright ecstatic.

"They're - they're going to perform?" This was the first she'd heard of it, and she couldn't even begin to guess what that meant. What did one perform at a cafe? Maids didn't even perform.

The maid cafe was silent, until some bright and exciting music started to play, which all the workers in the cafe began dancing in sync to. Olivia sat in her chair and watched closely without saying anything, a blush forming on her cheeks. She was very excited.
