Deacon had been feeling rather uneasy as of late. His mind had been drawing blanks since the day he had made a new friend. That day at the lake, he met Eloi, a mute. Being the loudmouth that he was, he took a chance and tried to talk to her, not knowing she was mute. Like that was supposed to stop him from talking. Luckily for him, she went along with and the two became friends.
While they managed to get acquainted he learned her power, telepathy. That meant that words in his mind that were not his own were the closest things to a voice he would ever hear from the poor girl. That wouldn't stop him from talking though. He liked to talk; it was practically his life!
While the two were outdoors together, she was picked on. That had infuriated the mentally deprived Deacon. He had engulfed some guy into flames, then had to witness Eloi freaking out, unable to control her power, which he was a victim of. All of this killed the poor pyro inside.
He needed to take some time off to reflect on all this, so he opted to go up to the roof for some alone time. He walked over to the edge then looked up into the night sky. He just hoped that Eloi would feel better. He blamed himself for everything that happened. She had explained to him through thoughts that she was scared of people and for people, and he now knew why. He just couldn't forgive himself for this. He wondered how he would be able to live with himself after all this. All of this he pondered as he stood there on the roof, gazing off into the noctune horizon.
