Wesker stood beneath a tree, waiting for his supposed cohort to arrive. He had received an odd email from his father the night before, which simply read Meet up with Guinevere Haze, you should be of some use to her. Your first directive is to collect the carcasses of three squirrels.

The spider knew better then to question such things, as he'd probably not get a reply. The wording stung a little bit, but Wesker suspected there was more going on here then simply a jab at his pride. This Miss Haze should prove to be interesting, if nothing else. So he'd done a bit of digging and had sent her an email suggesting they meet up in the forest.

He carried a simple backpack in one hand, and wore his school uniform, there didn't seem to be a need for anything fancier then that on this occasion. Wesker simply leaned against the tree, waiting patiently with his plastered mask of a grin across his face.

Wesker glanced up at Guin when she arrived, his smile unfaltering. "Indeed." He stopped leaning against the tree to turn to her and give her a slight bow. "A pleasure, Miss Haze. It would seem that some authority thinks I will be of some use to you, whatever it is you are trying to achieve."

He shrugged off his jacket and shifted it off into one of his gloved hands, revealing his forearms to the air. The many course hairs across his skin rippled unnaturally in the windless calm of the forest. "I assume you have been briefed on this joke of a mission, yes? Shall we begin our journey to wonderland, Miss Haze?"

Wesker nodded, good, it seemed the higher ups had decided to keep them on the same page. "Very good, I don't need to explain anything then."

He observed her carefully, picking up on her body language. Wesker had to admit he found this girl to be interesting. How was she connected to his family?

"You seem uneasy? Are you expecting trouble? Or perhaps simply worried about the beasts in the woods? We should be a satisfactory distance away from the forbidden forest for this escapade."

His smile widened just a tad. How would he help indeed. He shrugged. "Perhaps another mind to focus on things. Perhaps a fresh perspective. Perhaps..." He pointed at a tree not to far away from them, his eyes never leaving Guin. "...Because I can tell you one of our quarry is in that tree. South side about fifteen feet up."

Wesker raised an eyebrow at Guin's reply, not because he'd picked up on any tone or language, but rather the lack of them. This one was good, she could rival even his mask of charm. He couldn't really be surprised she wasn't friendly, suspicion was as a sibling in these games. He would probably have been just as cold if he hadn't chosen charm as his guise.

Glancing up at the tree for a moment, He tilted his head and pondered the issue. Bending over, he selected a stone off the ground, tossing it up and down in his hand a few times to test the weight. "Not the most elegant of solutions, but a simple problem..." He took aim and threw the stole through the branches. His intention hadn't been to hit the squirrel, just startle it.

Wesker's accuracy was sufficient, and the squirrel scrambled down the trunk of the tree in perfect view of Guin.

Wesker nodded a little, impressed with her accuracy and skill. He didn't say anything about it though, he didn't feel it was necessary.

He waited after the squirrel was felled to see if Guin was going to gather it, but went over without argument after she motioned for him to do it. He wasn't phased by a dead animal, he'd dealt with them enough, but a part of him was curious whether Guin was disgusted or simply reluctant.

He shrugged at her question. "Information is typically my game, I'm already putting together a database of interesting things around the school. Attainment of useful items..." He held up the squirrels carcuss. "...And holding corpses apparently. That and locating the animals. I'm just as baffled at this pairing as you are, Miss Haze."

Well that wasn't entirely true, Wesker was familiar with 'team building' exercises. This was most likely something of that nature.

Wesker caught her sigh when he explained what his abilities were. Given her lone wolf demeanor up until this point, he could guess she wasn't pleased with this turn of events. Oh well, better she believe he was useless and dismiss him for the moment then for her to decide it was a problem.

Some kind of retort balanced on his tongue, only to be swallowed again as the squirrel began to jump and writhe in his grip. Small pieces of bone and drops of blood began to flow back to the creature, peeling off where they splattered by the gunshot. The missing bits of the squirrel began reforming and healing the wound, and before long there was a whole and functioning rodent in Weskers gloved hand.

You might expect someone to look surprised, perhaps drop the animal, possibly scream in shock. Wesker's only response was a slight raise of an eyebrow, and an utterance of a word. "...Interesting..."

Wesker shrugged, adjusting his hands so the neck was held out exposed. "I understand in several cases like these that is a sufficient means of fatality. In either case, do we really have much choice other then to try it?"

The annoyance and suspicion wasn't lost on Wesker. Guin was making it fairly clear she didn't approve of this pairing. Wesker would have to be careful that he didn't end up with a bullet in him. He held out the squirrel to her "Whenever you are ready, Miss Haze."

This was quite a coincidence though, finding a squirrel with regenerative abilities. Wesker had a hard time believing that all of the squirrels around the island could do this. Interesting turn of luck, hopefully it would get better.

Wesker shrugged. "I could try eating it I suppose. That might counteract whatever spell is placed on it, since a lot of the game is use for food for some of us less satiable students."

He tilted his head at the creature squirming in Guin's hand. "However, I suspect we will have more luck finding another specimen. They can't all be regenerative."

Wesker let his eyes follow the rodent as it scampered off, the hairs on his arms standing and flatting a few times. He bit back the erge to say of course I'm right, Deciding it probably wouldn't be the best thing to say at the moment.

After a moment during which he waited to see if she was actually leaving the area, Wesker did indeed follow after Guin. While he kept his predatory senses searching for their quarry, his eyes remained locked on Guin, studying her movements, brand of clothing, her firearm, everything he could observe about her appearance.

His smile widened ever so slightly when she apologies to him. Sincere or not, that struck him as a thing that wouldn't happen very often. "Please, Miss Haze, I am curtain it is you who are most inconvenienced by this triviality."

Wesker simply continued to smile and filed away her reaction into his mental stockpile. It might not mean anything, but it could also be confirmation she had something that she'd prefer to be spending her attention on. He could tell he'd have to be patient if he wanted to find out anything concrete about her.

His eyes followed Guin's hand and then her line of fire as she raised her gun and took down the squirrel. He gave Guin his own look, and then bowed a little. "Of course."

He walked over and collected the carcass, then glanced about idly, his arms raising up unconsciously as he searched for another. "I believe... Yes, there is another just over here." He wandered through the trees, and before long came to the top of a small cliff. it wasn't terribly high, but about halfway down there was a branch extending out from the side with another squirrel on it.

"Do watch your step Miss Haze."
