Shay huffed as she left the building. She'd run from the power class. She'd heard the teacher calling her, but Shay was frustrated enough for tears to be rolling down her cheeks. She should just stop trying; it wasn't like this power could ever be controlled, changed. It was at it would always be. And it hurt to boot.

In her head, a thousand wails of death. She'd pushed herself too far, and she barely got to one of the patches of grass before she fell to her knees, trying hard to hold back her sobs. She made odd strangled sounds as she held the pain back.

"Stupid! Stupid!" She didn't know what, exactly, she was calling stupid. The school? The island? Life? Herself? Maybe all of it. She had to get a hold of herself; people were starting to stare. She looked like an idiot. She wanted nothing more than for them to stop looking at her.

Shay hiccuped, rubbing her tears away. She was calming down now. It was all the visions, the pain, the blood. She was used to death, but she was still a child.

Alessa had been having a fairly good school day so far, she enjoyed her classes and she was finally starting to settle in. On her way to one of her later classes, she noticed a girl, slightly younger than her, laying on the grass sobbing, the noises she was making sounded painful...

She wasnt sure what to do, Alessa was a very nervous individual, and she didnt know if approaching this girl would bother her or not, she wished she new a spell that could tell her the future, that wouldve solved a lot of problems in her life.

She made up her mind, the nervous witch approached the crying girl and spoke gently to her.

"Uhm... excuse me, are you alright?"

Shay breathed hard; her sobbing had dwindled exponentially by the time Alessa had found her. She looked up, eyes rimmed with red. "Just...frustrated," she admitted. Shay hated it, but she was already open for the world to see. She might as well reaffirm her belief that she was a loser. That she'd never make it.

"I was in the powers class," she looked over her shoulder, letting the sentence fall there. As if that said it all; like this girl knew Shay's power.

Shay breathed out sharply, head falling and hair covering her face. Relief. Now Alessa didn't have to see the tears as they silently made way to the grass. Dammit, she had to stop crying.

Oh gosh, something went wrong in a power class? That could be a lot of different things, she hoped that everyone was ok... well this girl clearly wasnt. Alessa crouched down to be a bit more level with the girl, she was extremely nervous but she wanted to at least try and be comforting.

"Do you want to... uhm..." she stuttered, she really didnt want to upset this girl anymore than she already was. "Want to... talk about it?"

"It's my stupid powers," Shay said. Her voice cracked on the last word and it only served to further frustrate her. "I can't control them, no matter how hard I try. They just... No one here understands that they won't get better. They won't get stronger or more defined. They'll always be like this! Useless."

Alessa wanted to tell her that her powers wernt useless, but she didnt really know what her powers where. She figured they should be on a first name basis before she asked a personal question like that. Alessa sat down in the grass next to her.

"My names Alessa, whats your name?"

"Eroshay Nikiah," Shay told her, then paused to breathe in shakily. "You can just call me Shay or Ero." She hoped Alessa wasn't into giving curtsey nicknames like Shay-shay.

Alessa wasnt really one for nicknames, her parents had never really been into nicknames either, but her brother certainly was... "Thats a pretty name Shay. So uhm... what do you do?" it was awkward asking it, so she decided to follow it up by explaining what her powers where, maybe it would make it easier? "Im a witch myself, it runs in my blood."

A witch? Shay wondered at that. What did witches do? She had always thought of herself as a kind of witch, but she'd never been sure. She looked at her hands, glared at them, really. "When I touch people, I see how they die." That was the simplest explanation, the one Shay usually left it at. "Every death in every dimension that could have been through every small decision throughout the day, I see. And when I sleep, I see mine. All of my powers, all the do, is take. Take from me. My health. My sanity. And they help no one."

"Oh my..." that was horrible, how could someone be cursed with such a terrible condition... she was unsure on how to respond. "Ive heard a lot about people struggling, sometimes its awful, but we just have to keep working."

She wasnt sure how to articulate her words, but she knew who would. "If you want I know a good psychiatrist on the island, she really helped me out getting over my parents..." mentioning her parents again was hard, but she took a deep breath, shed be alright.
