Drinking in the cafeteria-- the comment had made Alaude laugh, again. But the man nodded in agreement, not only for that but also for the sailors comment. Oh well. He didn't want to go back there on his own anyway.
"There's one downtown that's pretty quiet," Alaude suggested. "It isn't as spacious as others. It only has ten seats, more or less. But. It's perfect if you're going for some quiet time." Alaude had visited a the said bar a couple of times before. It was near his place, and the quietness and lack of people suited his personality.
If McQueen wanted a night out with their other coworkers though, it might only destroy the aura of the place.
Alaude didn't ask more about McQueen's story. If he didn't want to talk about it, then they shouldn't-- just as there are things he, too, didn't like talking about. Still, it was going to be rather impressive if someone without special abilities were to survive and even thrive in this island. Alaude would like to see that in the future.
So even if the director felt some kind of awkwardness after that, Alaude was quite fine. He chuckled at the other's remark about him. "I do like drinking. As long as it's after a day of hard work, I think drinking is a well-earned reward for the exhausted body. And exhausted head most of all." He did find it disgraceful, however, for people to drink during daylight, especially if they were to drink hard liquor. He wouldn't hesitate to call people out for it.
"I'll join," he said finally. While he wasn't exactly very close to anyone, going out with coworkers was something he quite willingly did often, even back in England. Getting acquainted with them at the very least was necessary for a better work atmosphere. So Alaude probably wouldn't get the joke even if it really was meant to be one. Still, the air has become quite lighter, and after the laughs, the cheerful mood remained on his face. "You're free to drag me with you to a pub anytime, Mr. McQueen."
