The new moon had passed and full moon River was back and on a mission. He wasn't exactly a different person each phase, though anyone who knew him in both would see the personality shift, but it was a noticeable transformation. And there was really no way anyone would know his female and male forms were the same unless he told them. Which was why he'd waited until he was actually in this form to seek out the guy he was seeking out, even though it would mean a delay in hopefully getting what he wanted or at least a step closer to it.
It wasn't so bad, though, he'd had some time to heal from his last full moon phase on this island and wasn't so far into the full moon impulses that he couldn't make a sensible deal. Besides, he hadn't heard about this Cabel guy until he was nearly in this phase anyway, and even though being stuck looking 14 was annoying, he'd done it for years and could stand to wait a few more days so he actually had the venom he was going to try and sell or trade.
River wasn't actually sure where to find the person they were looking for, or even if they'd be around the school at night, but he'd figured the courtyard would be his best bet. And it turned out he was right. Or at least he thought he was. The dirty-blond haired boy he saw lurking by some benches certainly fit the description he'd been given, but it was possible a lot of people did. Of course, there was only one way to find out. River approached the boy with a grin. His skin lightly glowing, although not as bright as it would closer to the full moon. He knew he looked young, but he hoped the other boy would still give him an opportunity to make his offer.
"Are you Cabel by any chance?"
