Zora frowned a little a this. She had known he carried a gun before, especially when he worked for her. However, she hadn't actually thought he carried it with him all the time. Although maybe it made sense if she reallly thought about it especially since he didn't have magic at one point.

After a moment, she shook her head and shrugged lightly. "I didn't even consider the fact. I mean, it's fine if you do, I just didn't think you still did," she explained. Not 100% okay with it, but understanding and respecting the fact he wanted to carry a gun.

"We can get you something better than MacDonalds unless that's what you want," Zora laughed.

"I'll get you takeout from that place on second," Jude said. "They make great breakfasts, and they do takeout for all the people who work in that big office building beside it."

Jude couldn't help but feel that his brain still needed to restart any time Broen called him a nigga. He was still not used to that. He probably should have been at that point.

"That said," he added, "I need to get home." He pinched at the fabric of his shirt, pulling the bloody thing away from his body with a wince. "I need to change, and I'm going to have to run interference with my dad before he finds out I was injured from someone else. But I'll bring you dinner, alright?"

Broen watched Zora, his lips pressed hard together. He could tell she wasn't actually okay with him having a gun. Whatever. They could fight about that later. He was too tired and too high on his pain meds to bother right now. "Food from wherever sounds good. Except here."

He gave a nod and the best wave that he could manage to Jude. "I'll see ya, Boyscout. At the Pirate's Feast, hopefully. Or that bonfire thing."

"Bye Jude, and thank you for everything," she said with a nod. She was very grateful to him in very many different ways for all his help with Frederick, and getting Broen to confront and later resolve his problem with his father.

When he left, Zora looked down at Broen, taking in his appearance and sighed inwardly, his injuries looked so painful to her, "I am proud of you, you know. I know how much all this had been bothering you, and the fact you didn't kill him," here she smiled to show she was joking, "and just let him hang himself makes me... you know, relieved and just happy it all worked out," she confessed as she squeezed his hand lovingly.

"Did you want me to stay for a bit longer?" she asked him gently. "And did you want anything from home, or from your dorm?"

When Jude left, Broen settled back forther into his pillow. Wincing hard, he scooted over as best as he could towards his IV bags. Making room on one side of the bed. "Just like here with me for a bit? I'm tired and I'd kinda like to just have you close for a bit."

"Of course," Zora said as she removed her shoes, put down her purse and removed the light jacket she had been wearing. Then she crawled onto the hospital bed, careful not to bump or jostle, and laid down next to him, turning herself on her side, so that she could face Broen.

"Hey there, handsome," she said in greeting, smiling at him as she laid her head against the pillow and lightly laid her hand on his arm, "I'll stay as long as you want or need me to," she told him as she relaxed on the bed next to him.

He gave a small, one sided smile as she laid next to him. Broen's arm moved as best as he could make it to wrap around her and hold her close. "Don't lie to me," he said with a small laugh. He wiggled his index and middle finger, making air quotes. "Handsome, she says."

"I really do look rough, don't I? Somehow, I feel worse than I look."

Zora moved closer and snuggled up close to him when he pulled her closer, laying a hand gently on his chest, "You will always be handsome in my eyes," she told him warmly, laughing at his air quotes and planting a kiss on his cheek.

"But yeah, I mean sort of, you just look, well, sore if I'm honest. Your bandages hide a lot, but the bruising and stuff, well, that looks really painful," she told him truthfully.

Broen sighed and smiled, again, only pulling up the corners of his lips. It was all he could manage but dammit he was going to try. "Well I'm glad. Though I wouldn't blame you. And it is," he said with a light hearted sigh. "The... the bruises... they're all p-"

He paused a second to yawn. His drugs were starting to put him under again. "Pretty painful..."

Lifting her head a little off the pillow, Zora looked at him as he taked and had to smile at Broen's tone. He sounded just so... contented, worry-free. It was something she rarely heard in his tone, and it made her feel happy for him.

"Go to sleep, lover..," she said in a quiet, yet soothing tone, when she noticed how his meds were kicking in. "I'll stay until they ask me to leave," she told him as she laid her head down on the pillow and curled up carefully next to him.

"I love you," she then whispered softly as she watched him go to sleep. Letting him get his rest.
