Scavenger hunt? Now Nia had absolutely no idea what this meant. She listened to Ven explain but still felt very, very confused and Fatima's input made her very anxious. The only thing she really understood was that she had to wander around in the woods alone. Her face started turning red and she moved a bit closer to Ven, clutching her notebook to her chest.

"I uh..." Nia struggled to find words to express how she was feeling to the group without sounding weird or crazy. It was part of the reason she talked so little to the group. She knew most of what she said made it pretty obvious that she was not normal.

"I've never gone on a scavenger hunt. Actually, I've never hunted anything before. Can I hunt with someone else?" If nothing else, she was worried she might get lost in the woods with her amnesia and all.

Havoc had no particular interest in sharing information about himself, but he had a good idea of how useful it could be to do just that. So when Ven asked him what his profession was, Havoc was direct and to the point on the subject.

"I plan to become a scout. It seems like a position I would do well in, that would take advantage of my skillset in place of the military."

It probably seemed like an odd fit, considering his lack of social skills, but Havoc was confident that he'd be able to do just fine.

The idea of a scavenger hunt was not one that Havoc took too immediately. His first thought was that children participated in scavenger hunts, and most of them were too old for that. Nia was the right age in Havoc's mind (or at least the right age he thought she was at), but him? Ven? Fatima? Too old.

The part of Havoc's brain he'd left in charge of handling social interactions kept his mouth shut long enough to note Fatima's enthusiasm, at which point he decided it would probably be seen as negative if he nixed the idea entirely.

"Why don't we go in pairs," he said, deciding that it would be far easier to do so. "I haven't explored these woods, but I have experience with survival skills and tracking. I assume Ven has some kind of skill as well. So two pairs."

Havoc paused for a moment, before deciding to ask only the most pertinent question.

"What would we be looking for?"

Ven was warming to this idea quickly.

But Havoc as a scout? Ven was ready to dismiss the idea but figured that it might not be so strange after all. Havoc struck him as one of those people calm in crazy situations. Plenty of people came here after being in crazy situations.

He pushed the idea from his mind and came back into focusing on the subject at hand.

"Okay, well, how's this then," Ven said, putting an arm around Nia affectionately as she came closer to him.

"Nia and I will be a team and then so can you two," Ven said, gesturing to Havoc and Fatima with his black-painted finger nails in a gesture that might be comparable in enthusiasm to a first-level magics student. Ven was getting hype.

"As for what we'll look for, well...Nia and I will make a list for you two, and you'll make a list for us," Ven said.

He dropped his arm from around Nia and picked his bag up off the floor to finish putting his notes away. "I mean, we don't have to do this. We don't even have to do this right now. What do you all think?"

Pairs did make sense, and having the two guys with more experience with scavenger hunts (or at least hunting for things outside) was a good idea too. But when Ven made the pair suggestions, Fatima wasn't sure what to think. She looked at Havoc, then at Ven, opened her mouth and shut it.

It wasn't like she disliked the guy, she barely even knew Havoc. He was just so... level-headed, like a statue or something, if he didn't get hungry around her, she might've mistaken him for a robot - in short he was completely opposite of her. But then, getting along with someone so different would be good team building, and he hadn't seemed opposed...

"Sure, yeah, sure! It sounds like fun. And... yeah... I mean I'd go for it whenever. Probably when it's warmer? And would we make the lists then? I guess if we're already discussing like this, just the idea is helping us do our um team building, so great idea." Her giggle might have been still slightly nervous, but she was happy enough to go along, assuming no one else had any objections to the pairs.

With one more quick glance at Havoc, Fatima busied herself gathering up her things. There were still some details to work out, maybe, but she could listen and do that at the same time.

Nia listened to the others talk, grateful for Ven's embrace. She use to be a bit afraid of people touching her, and still was not a fan when strangers did it, but found that once she knew someone well enough, physical affection in the form of hugs and gentle touches or an embrace made her feel very safe.

When Fatima mentioned the weather, a bit of a switch went off in Nia's brain. She stood up straighter, her eyes got big, she looked down for a moment and her eyes flashed back and forth.

"The second day of spring is going to be the best weather day in the near future."

After she spoke, her gaze leveled out and her posture softened. She glanced up at Ven and then at the others in the group before whispering, "I think that would be a good day to go... And it give's us time to get together with our partners and put together our lists."

As far as Havoc was concerned, the lists were going to be the real issue. He was confident in his ability to locate things, but lists? He wasn't familiar enough with the forest to know what to look for, and he sincerely doubted that Fatima would either.

"Maybe the school has something they're looking for. Taking notes of birds nests, or something like that. Then it could be a useful scavenger hunt."

Havoc preferred to do things that mattered. While one could argue that team building was all the point that was really needed, if they could do something useful at the same time, all the better. That would make things much easier for him, especially since they were apparently going to be doing it on the second day of spring.

Speaking of.

"Which day is that?" He certainly couldn't remember what the first day of spring was. It might have had a lot of importance on Manta Carlos, but it certainly didn't have any importance to him.

This sounded great.

Ven relaxed, though he would admit, he did feel a little bit bad that Fatima had been paired with Havoc, but maybe that'd be good for them. Fatima seemed to be pretty good with people and, Ven supposed, Havoc was...kind of...people, right?

"Yeah, I suppose that's true,' Ven mused.

He had only the slightest intentions to make a scavenger hunt for useful things. He was thinking of more ridiculous tasks for Fatima and Havoc.

Take a photo of Havoc smiling, was one of them. The smile has to reach his eyes. No points if Havoc is holding a fire arm.

"I think it's during mid-week," Ven said. "A wednesday or a thursday? Thanks Nia, you're awesome."

He bumped her shoulder again with his.

He slung his back of his shoulder and said, "So I guess I'll see you all on the second day of Spring? You all have my number, I think, right?"

He realized that he needed a coffee or modafinil or something with urgency. He was not going to pass out a student council meeting.

Not again.

It looked like this impromptu post Student Council meeting chat was done and all the details settled. Fatima had finished gathering up her things. There really was nothing left to do.

"Yeah, I have everyone's number!"

She looked at Havoc, wondering if they were supposed to meet up beforehand to do the lists or the day of. But she supposed they didn't have to do it right away anyway. She could always text him later to find out what he wanted to do - he seemed like he'd be better at making lists and being organized about things.

"Guess I'll see you guys there."

Fatima stayed a few more moments to see if there was anything else that someone mentioned, and then left, trying to think of things people could look for other than berries, fruit, or any other food that crowded her head.

Nia smiled a bit when Ven complimented her. It wasn't every day that someone called her awesome.

"Sounds like we have a plan." Nia liked plans. She opened her notebook and wrote down the important information. The last thing she wanted was to forget everything.

She finished writing and closed her notebook. She smiled up at Ven once more, glanced at Havoc and Fatima and then headed out the door with her head down, mumbling to herself about a paper she needed to print and take to the office.
