Private Finished Adding a new face

"Well, as much as I do love having all eyes on me, there's a time and place for that."

They started to rock back and forth on their heels, hands clasped behind their back as they spoke.

"Human's are boring, yes, but sometimes you want to be boring, so no one pays attention until you want them to."

Then, the colour seemed to drain from their skin, their eyes stretched wider, and with a sudden crack, their head tilted at a complete 90-degree angle. They gave the girls face a wide smile, looking as if they'd suddenly been possessed by a ghost in a horror movie.

"This is basic stuff, darling." They continued to speak with the little girl's voice, unaffected by the unnatural position of their neck. "I'm sure you can see the value there."

"Please, I'm pretty enough as it is."

They let out one shrill, ghostly laugh to match their possessed appearance, then shifted again, back into their default form, hands crossed behind their back.

"Well, this has been quite the welcome diversion. It's always nice to meet someone interesting." They let off a more subdued chuckle. "I don't suppose you'd happen to be a student at the academy would you?"

"Ah, yes. For a school that claims to be as egalitarian as they do, they're far too attached to their human sensibilities, are they not?" They shook their head in disappointment. "Say what you will about the Dark Crystal Academy, but I at least felt right at home there. You might have as well, I think."

They shot the other demon one of their toothy grins again.

"But that's a discussion for another time. I room there as well, so perhaps you may see me around the campus. Assuming you recognise it's me, of course." They added with a slight smug tone. "For now though, I'll have to be off. What is it they call you, Darling?"

Their gaze turned mischievous before adding, "Unless you'd prefer me to poke in your mind again for the answer to that."

Sareth simply chuckled to themself again as Tril dispersed, not at all deterred by their menacing tone.

"Well, no promises." They said, not concerned whether Tril heard them or not. And with that, they turned to float down the street, off to spend the rest of their free time.
