His eyes looked at the light of the moon, and then towards his love to his left. His arm wrapped around her, and then he heard a couple giggles. One was a low giggle while the other a high pitched one. He leaned up, he saw two random twelve year olds giggling with paddles in their hands. One of them sent their paddles down on purpose. Ack! Crap! What is he doing!

He whispered, "Two twelve year olds are trying to tip us. One of them is a wood manipulator." His voice was in a mild panic.

She chuckled, "Let me handle this." She said with a light wink, she moved up a bit so the kids would see her face more clearly. She gave a hiss her eyes red, the girl in the boat let out a light scream. "Comeon let's go..." said the girl in the boat to the boy. The boy stayed determined she eyed him raising a eyebrow putting her hand in the water she in super speed threw some towards the boy's face as he pushed against the boat again. She grabbed onto the oar suddenly the oar grew with a big push. Her eyes widened as the boat rocked the girl in the boat smirked using her water mage power to tip it the boat the rest of the way. She hadn't exactly handled the situation good. She was beat by two kids, she wanted to do the same to them but knew most likely they couldn't swim.

He had thought that Amelia had this one in the bag. His hand had tossed the bag beside their boat. Making a spear like glass object out from the bag, their boat began to shake as Valentine's head was under water. A hole had spurted within their boat from the rapid jabs of the javelin. Good. They'll probably sink before they get to shore.

Valentine looked towards Amelia, and started to rush towards her. He wondered fi she had ever learned to swim. Valentine had only learned how to swim when he was thrown into the lake in the eighth grade.

She had in fact known how to swim, but something was wrong. After she turned vampire she never swam, she didn't know how to make her powers even out in the water. She thought if anything the kids would have a problem. Not her, memories of her being young learning how to swim filled her mind. She had once when she was young almost died from drowning, and vampires could drown and die because of the lack of oxygen in their brain from water. She struggled feeling her body only get pulled down. She thought she knew how to swim! Her mind panicked, she tried to get to the surface her dress wasn't a help either.

She started to lose her breath struggling to try to get back to the surface for air. She finally figured out the combination only to meet the bottom of a boat. It was coming down too! Her eyes widened, was this the end?

His eyes widened, why had he worried about the kids? He was so into getting them back that he hadn't seen her drowning. He dove down after her. I'm coming! His hand had grabbed her, and then saw that he was being dragged down also. He looked up towards the sky and then saw that the children were going away.

Great! Looking around he saw that they weren't anywhere near the shore. Valentine looked at the hope under him. He was being lifted but then was dropped. She can't control her powers! Valentine had to think, he saw that the floor was no where near. The boat!

The boat was coming down. He started to lift her with him towards the boat. Jumping from the boat to the surface he started to stand on the boat disoriented. The boat was only going to be up for some time.

He saw a vine to the left about ten feet down.

Amelia had fallen unconscious in the water, it was all in Valentine's hands. Her life and their love, if she drown she never could live again. Her spirit had fallen into limbo, she was unable to do anything. She wanted to help but couldn't help because her unsciousness. She was limp in his arms, all future depended on Valentine's next move. If she lived or died, the school officals were busy in other areas of the festival and didn't know of the happenings.

The boat started to sink more rapidly because of the extra weight on it. The moonlight and lantern light gave show of things. But no one could help Valentine he was the closest he had the choice and the ability to save or lose the one he loved.

He looked at her, his heart paniced, he had put himself in danger at times, but there hadn't been a time where he put another person, especially a person he knew greatly, in danger.

Valentine looked at the vine and then at his pouch. He formed a thick belt, making himself and Amelia stick tight together. He hoped she wouldn't slip out of the belt. His body lunged itself into the water and her weight was quite astonishingly heavy. He started to sink, but the adrenaline kept him up. The air from him was depleting.

Valentine looked up at the vine, grabbing it, but his fingers, so wet, slipped from it. His body began to sink as the fear in his eyes grew. He looked down and then grew more courage. She won't die.

She just won't.

Grabbing the vine once more he looked up, the moon shining so spitefully on him. The vine was connected to a thick trunk, what a relief. But the vine was growing tight. he began to shimmy up, the tree had hung a bit low, but it was still about seven feet high.

Valentine's muscles flexed as he reached up. Her body was slipping! He was almost there, but instead floated her about a foot onto the tree with the glass belt.

Her limp body rested on the tree, she wasn't breathing water had filled her lungs. She would be dead if her lungs weren't emptied of the water and refilled with fresh air. She layed limp her spirit still in limbo, her body started to grow cold. Her heart beat slowed, it was trying to get air.

Valentine hopefully would notice she wasn't breathing before it was too late. Her clothes were soaked, her hair pin was still in her hair. She had made sure to tightly fasten it so she wouldn't lose it before the date. Her dress was soaked and had some dirt on the edges from the tree and dirt. Her face was pale and yet so beautiful, her eyes were shut gracefully she almost looked dead.

When he released her he didn't see her womb moving. Wait! She wasn't breathing! Valentine's mind raced with thoughts. The adrenaline of his determination pulled him with an invisible force. His lake soaked hands made it to the tree, the weather outside beginning to rain lightly. Great...! He sighed heavily as he lifted himself up. He grabbed a hold of her chest and started to do as he had heard about CPR. Finally health comes in handy He laid her body parrallel to the tree. "You..." He pushed once upon her solar plexus "will..." he said coarsly as water filled his throat as well, "not..." he continued to try to press the water out of her "die!"
Tears were brimming his eyes. Hope coming away from him.

Suddenly the water came out, but she still wasn't breathing. Her heartbeat began to fade, her face looking paler. Her mind was fighting going farther into limbo. I... will... not... die... She thought fighting the light, she wanted to live for Valentine and nothing was going to get in her way. I love Valentine God, please don't take me from him. She thought feeling herself going weak, she knew the end might come soon. God was the only one she thought could keep her from dying, she felt a peace.
