"Good, because from what I see, the girls that are doing the next song are going to be having a fast song. Oi, such discombobulation." He loved that word, discombobulation. He smiled and shrugged, hoping that it would come in handy when they were going to dance to....

And then he heard it.

It wasn't a karioke, but it was a turntable with an electronic keyboard. They were going to be dancing to some techno. At first it was a bit slow, but after about five seconds the music got faster, to a point where kids were doing solos.

She hadn't a clue how they should dance to this kind of song. She looked at Valentine a kind of... Um... I'm clueless about this kind of song look. She squeezed his hand lightly afraid of looking like a complete idiot or something because this was something she hadn't done nor seen on a movie.

She looked at the other couples and their dancing, she looked back to Valentine. She had a clueless look on her face. She wondered if by any chance Valentine knew this kind of dancing.

He in fact had not. His eyes reflected hers with the "I am very clueless right now" look. Grabbing her hand, he looked beyond and saw a wave of people. Shrugging, he got out his right hand, not saying anything polite because they wouldn't here him.

Valentine drew Amelia close as he cotinued to budge people over forcefully. His eyes looked towards the forest, where they would stay by the lanterns.

I am so sorry was the only thought going through his mind.

She had to chuckle lightly as they got out of the crowd, "You know, I guess maybe we should stick to slow dancing. Though your my hero since you found a way to escape the crowd and keep me close." She said with a smile her eyes sparkling again.

"Maybe we should wait until later when the slow dances come back. So what do you want to do." She said still in his arms, she liked dancing for a few reasons. One it was fun, two it brought her in his arms again without the people staring at how long they had been in eachother's arms.

He winked and tried to imitate a hero like voice, "Anything for you...babe." He soon realized, wow...that was extremely corny... Valentine shrugged, corny can't be all bad? Right?

"As to what we should do while we wait for another slow dance, well, we could go for a boat ride, or we could go and do a bit of our own karioke."
He laughed at that thought, he thought he wasn't bad at singing, but in front of everyone...ha!

She chuckled, "I'm hardly a babe and you can't get away with that line. It's too funny." She said with a laugh. "But you could've gotten away with anything for you... dear. Or my name in place of dear, but babe..." She shook her head with a chuckle.

"Um.... I don't know about karioke but a boat ride sounds like a nice thing to do." She said smiling lightly, she wondered when he'd realize she was still in his arms.

He at least liked her response and as Valentine looked at the boats, he smiled, seeing how the water reflected off of her eyes. They were so close to his, letting go of her, he let go of her. "Is it for free?" He felt so dumb. He hadn't ever seen these out in the open at the academy.

She chuckled, "It's a academy event it's free." She said looking at another couple going into a boat smiling, she smiled lightly and looked back to Valentine taking his hand she smiled. She remembered a long time ago when she first tried to swim, she remembered almost drowning. She had gotten over her old fear of water and learned to swim since then.

She saw a empty boat and tugged lightly on his arm towards it. She smiled lightly. The lake was beatiful, it was lit along the shoreline with Chinese lanterns but the middle had the reflection of the moonlight.

He smiled looking at the boat. They weren't going any deeper then they should be right? They wouldn't kiss under the moonlight. Well, it wouldn't be bad if that happened, right? No! Wrong!

This mental conflict was happening as he hopped into the boat and saw the paddle. It was in an alright condition. "So, Mademoiselle, would you care to come to ze boat with me and go for the long journey?" Valentine wondered how she would react. His eyes looked at the sea, wondering, what can be done in here. I mean really, there were people in the lake probably making out...

He shuddered at the thought of intruding on anothers...escapades.

She smiled, "Hmm.... I don't know, I'll have to ask my finacial advisor first." She said with a light chuckle she got aboard the boat. "It's so beautiful... I'm so glad we could be here together, it's so magical." She said her eyes sparkling in the moonlight and lantern light. She didn't care what other people did she only wanted to focus on them tonight. She wasn't going to think about any other couples or people who might possibly wreck they're night.

She loved being with him and the whole dancing ordeal and all really showed how charming he could be when they were in a fix. It was a interesting night already, she couldn't have found a better person to go with.
