All was normal in the Starlight Academy art department. It was after hours so not many people were about, just a few students finishing up projects, a professor or two milling about. The halls were quiet, the linoleum was shining, the potted plant had a goblin behind it, the classroom doors were shut...
Wait. Reverse that.
A small head of orange hair popped out from behind the potted plant in the corner of the hallway, right at the entrance of the art department. Rum wasn't really...welcome in the art department anymore. Not after the incident with the thermite. Rum shuddered. Not one of her better moments.
But she needed some more colored chalk for her experiments. It was easy to pull the color out to make smoke bombs, but the highest quality chalk was always in the art department. The stuff from the corner store was all talcum. Blegh.
Rum ducked out from behind the plant and dashed forward, slipping into one of the art rooms, closing the door behind her. The lights were off in the classroom, so she assumed she was okay.
"Alright, I think we're safe Sarsaparilla...Now let's find that chalk."
She was whispering to herself, and turned around slowly to begin her search.
