Her hand laid flat on his chest. The warmth from it slowly made its way through the material and made Stefan want to sink into it more. His free hand came up to hers holding it to his chest as he saw her expression change to a more serious one.

"Appropriate or not, I don't think I would say no."

He took her hand, raised it up to his lips, and kissed it gently. Looking back up to her he smiled. The attraction in the air between them was obvious. The privacy of their booth was about the only thing keeping everyone in the club from noticing it.

Nodding at Stefan's encouraging words, Zora watched as he lifted her free hand to his lips. Feeling his mouth against the skin of her knuckles, Zora blushed at the intimate gesture. It was both romantic and a clear indication that he was feeling the same way as she was.

"Would you like to maybe go back to my place?" Zora suggested with quiet boldness as she kept a hold on Stefan's hand. She was in no rush to let him go.

"Or, just a thought... strangely enough, there is a really nice hotel down the road where we could go and relax," she explained with a tiny very wry grin. She was very aware of the irony of that statement - a decent hotel in a famously "indecent" part of town.

"Your choice, I don't mind either way," she added as she squeezed his hand, and them splayed her finger so that their palms were touching.

All Zora really wanted at the moment was to continue the evening together somewhere more private where they could just be themselves and let things unfold however they were meant to.

Stefan smiled at her offer as his heart seemed to skip a beat. They both wanted more privacy than what the booth could offer. Before he made a decision where he had to make sure of a few things.

"If your place it'll be just us?"

The awkwardness of going back to her place to have it be a family home, or her son sitting in the couch when they walked in. The only reason he assumed she wanted it to be just them was because of the offer of the hotel.

"You deserve a bit better than a hotel. Unless we are starting that trip we talked about early."

Shaking her head, Zora just laughed softly at Stefan's suggestion.

"A trip will have to wait until another time," Zora said agreeably. "They'd have a cow, no, a dtagon, at my work if I upped and left suddenly," she chuckled. She was pretty sure if she suddenly called in that she was on the beach somewhere exotic and not coming back for a week or so both her grandfather and the entire staff would think she had lost it.

"We can go back to my place," she told him after giving the idea a quick consideration. "My son lives at the academy," she explained. "He ... well, it's a long story. But he's there because he wants to be and not because there are problems between us," she assured him, not wanting him to think she was an uncaring or bad mother.

Stefan completely understood. Probably a bit better than most. He just put an understanding smile on and chuckled a bit.

"Trust. I get it. I'm here and not in Fólkvangr. Been that way for a bit now too."

Stefan was a little sad they weren't going to whisk away to some tropical paradise with fruity drinks and nothing but each other, but he understood she still had responsibilities. He respected that greatly actually.

"So your place then? Lead the way?"

The lopsided grin betrayed him as it appeared just before he leaned back in again to kiss her. He had to get one for the road.
