Stefan smiled a bit at the compliment. He enjoyed the back and forth playful banter they seemed to both slip into so easily.

As Zora shifted closer to him he felt a twinge in his stomach. The last time they were close like this, she ended up staring deeply into his eyes.

She started talking about how her 'normal' workweek. Stefan sat still a moment for dramatic effect, then slowly turned to look at her with a look of disbelief. There was a lot to unpack there.

"Hold up. Rewind. I got you can teleport...but that's far. And decades? How long have you been the big boss lady?"

The first group up had began to play and the lights in the club adjusted appropriately to being focus to the stage. This left their already private booth almost impossible to glance into unless standing right at it.

Taking another sip of her coconut flavored drink, Zora just looked at Stefan with blank innocence, pretending all she had hinted at was not a big deal, even though she knew it was. It was a lot to unpack, and she hoped he'd take it okay and not walk out on her.

Smiling, Zora put her drink down on the table as she turned her body slightly, grazing Stefan's leg as she did so.

"Sorry. I should really apologise... I rarely advertise who I am or what I do... at least, not at first, and not if I am interested in somebody," she explained as she gave Stefan a meaningful look.

"I run an international company which is part of another larger family-owned consortium," she confessed. "The clients in question are witches and they know my grandfather from when he started the main company about 150 years ago."

"And no, I am not that old," she added with a grin.

As she turned and their legs touched it felt....good? Natural was a better way to put it. And welcoming. Stefan watched her with attentive blue eyes from behind his sunglasses as she explained in a little more detail.

He looked back towards the band and took his glasses off confident that no one would be able to make eye contact. A hand came up and rubbed his eyes as he laughed a bit.

"I was about to say you look REALLY good for 150 plus."

Stefan slid the glasses back on and took a swig of his drink, still relishing in everything. He looked back to Zora with his trademarked lopsided grin.

"I assume since I'm here and you just mentioned you don't normal tell someone you're interested in these things, I'm a special case?"

"A special case? ... Maybe?" Zora admitted hesitantly, not sure she knew how to vocalize her feelings.

"I think it's more, I sense you aren't a one night stand or somebody who's interested in me because I am wealthy," she said as she looked at him calmly.

"It's also me wanting to be honest with you just like you have been with me and what you can do..." she said as she looked straight at his sunglasses. She was very aware he could have used them to get her into bed, or use her in some way, and he hadn't.

"Also, it's hard to keep up a facade and pretend I'm not who I am," she confessed somewhat sheepishly.

"That's where me and good ole mom differ. She, you know, sleeps around a lot. Not me. I've tried to convince her of the beauty in committing to one. Figured that might appeal to her. Nope...."

Just as Zora had confided in him, he was doing to her. It was nice to not have to be someone he wasn't, hide what he could do, or worse, have people paranoid that he would use them.

As they sat there for a moment, making almost direct eye contact if not for the mirrored lenses, Stefan placed a hand gently on her thigh near her knee and smiled.

"I made a pinky promise remember. Besides I want to know you. All of you. Not a mask you put on around people."

Zora looked down at Stefan's hand on her leg as he spoke. His touch had not only sent a pleasant shiver up her spine, but it felt, at the same time, like it was natural for him to do it. It did not make her at all uncomfortable.

"Pinky swears are very serious," she agreed with a smile, definitely feeling touched to hear that Stefan was interested in getting to know the real her, and not some skewed version she presented to the world.

"Thank you for saying that. It means a lot actually," Zora told him as she placed a hand on top of his.

When she laid her hand on top of his, he smiled. Stefan couldn't imagine her being any other way. Any story she came up with about who she was just wouldn't fit the mold and wouldn't be as interesting. He figured it was time to let her know the rest about himself.

"Well since we are being honest, two other things about myself you need to know. One isn't that serious. I'm strong. Like REALLY strong."

Stefan figured that one wouldn't come as too big of a shock. But this next one was a doozy, especially when coupled with his eyes.

"The other is that when I sing, I can make the words come to life visually sound me. Couple that with my eyes and one could be in for a treat."

"Oh wow," Zora gasped, truly surprised to hear about Stefan's singing ability. She was from a family of witches with very different abilities, but she had never heard of what Stefan could do with their singing.

"I'd love to see that someday. It sounds really amazing," Zora said, her attention now fully focused on him. The band on stage long forgotten as she took the opportunity to get to know him better.

Although, so far she was already low-key impressed by almost everything about the demi-god which only added to her attraction and desire to spend more time with him.

"Momsie-dearest has it to where she can tell stories of the future. I can do past or fictional."

It was only then that he noticed his hand was still on her leg, and her hand on his. The natural feel of it lended to forgetting about it momentarily. He smiled at Zora, being completely engulfed by her company.

"At this point I'd swear you had the siren eyes and not me. You could ask about anything from me and I'd melt like butter."

The statement surprised Stefan as he said it, but he was more surprised with how true it was. There were obviously limits, but that was part of what he was attracted to about her. He didn't feel Zora would take advantage of him in any negative way.

Zora was truly fascinated by the idea of being able to illustrate songs of the past. It sounded, at least to her, like a power a god-like being would possess... or at the very least like one that belonged to a very powerful magic-user.

"You are definitely Freiya's son," Zora grinned when he gave her a very generous compliment. "Silver-tongued, charming, and very handsome. Such a combination could make anybody swoon," she remarked teasingly.

Looking down between them then, she also noticed that their hands were still touching. "Since I don't want you to melt on me," Zora stated with a wry grin. "I won't ask you anything too intimate... at least for now," she said as she gently laced her fingers between his.

"What made you come to Manta Carlos? Was it a planned move?" she asked him curious to know more about the man next to her.
