Besides the selected few in Fólkvangr, Stefan had never met someone like Zora. She was so attentive to everything he said and seemingly all about him (at least from the compliments she tossed his way), while still maintaining an air of who she was as a strong individual. It was a big reason for his attraction to her.

Fingers interlaced with his. He looked down at them again and couldn't help but smile.

"Intentionally but not. It seems making images appear outta know where in the human mortal world is seen as either bad juju witchcraft or drugging people...."

The scenario seemed rather specific, and he told it in a casual laid back way.

It took a moment for her to connect the dots but when she did, Zora just shook her head. "I'm sorry that happened to you... I'm afraid non-magical humans can still be a fairly superstitious bunch," she stated as she took a sip of her drink.

"It's a good part of why we ended up moving here," she confessed. "Too much social media, camera phones, people panicking if one of us even thought about using magic in public," she explained, sympathizing with Stefan and what happened to him.

Stefan shrugged a bit. He never let it really get to him. When he shrugged it pulled his hand slightly. Using his thumb, he caringly stroked her pinky as their hands sat interlaced still.

"It's never bothered me."

His smile came back as he finished the last bit of his Moscow mule, returning his gaze back to his date.

"What about you? Seems your family has been here for a hot minute."

In the background, Stefan heard the music had changed. It seems the next performer had come on, more of a DJ this time. The atmosphere began to slowly shift around them although their privacy remained the same.

Zora felt a little shiver of pleasure when Stefan's hand started caressing hers.

"Actually, no. We have only been on the island for a little more than two years..." she admitted as she finished her own drink as well.

"In fact, it was only last year that we moved the most important parts of our headquarters here," Zora said as she looked at Stefan warmly as she talked. "The family is originally from Spain. We still have a family home there," she told him as the waitress appeared once again at their table asking if they wanted anything more to drink.

A courteous nod to the waitress proceeded before holding up one finger indicating he wanted another. His opposite hand didn't dare leave Zora's. The thumb continuing to gentle carass her hand.

"Ok. I gotcha. Man you've traveled a bit then."

As soon as he said it he knew it was a dumb comment. She could teleport. Of course she has traveled. He chuckled a little at the thought and let it go. Stefan's head began to bob a little as the music changed to something a little catchier and upbeat.

"How much of your family is here?"

Zora looked at the waitress and just nodded in reply to her drinks question. She would also have another of the same.

"I'm afraid my traveling has been mostly for business, not much for pleasure," she laughed as she lightly squeezed his hand. "Although, hopefully, I can remedy that one day soon, I'd love to take time off and just relax somewhere..." she confessed unabashedly. She knew she was a workaholic. Those around her had implied just as much.

"Uh, actually just my immediate family is here on the island with me... There's my grandfather, Rafael, his daughter, Celeste, her kids, and my son, Jeremiah," Zora replied candidly.

"My brother had also come to the island, but there was an accident and he passed away soon after we arrived on the island," she explained. Not wanting to get into the ugly details surrounding, Tomas, but wanting to be as honest about things as possible.

Zora was almost daydreaming as she was speaking it seemed. The laugh with it and the gorgeous smile that Stefan couldn't get enough of lended credence to that. That was when Stefan felt the gentle squeeze she gave his hand. He decided to tuck that away as she continued.

"You've got a good bit of family then. And you have a son?"

As the words came out, the didn't seem to hold any other emotion than genuine curiosity. Stefan didn't care if she had a son or not. That didn't change who she was. He had also picked up that she didn't really seem intersted in talking about her brother and didn't push the issue. That was when he decided to go back to her doing some personal travelling and the squeeze. A boyish grin came about his face.

"We should total travel somewhere together...I mean...if you'd have me."

"I do," she said as she glanced at Stefan happily, glad that he didn't seem to mind that she had a son. "He's the light of my life. His father, Mattias, was someone I met while in school," she explained, not getting into much more than that. The story of his father being a Dark elf from Svartalfheim for another time.

When Stefan offered to go travelling with her, Zora broke out in a smile. It was not a horrible idea if she thought about it. So far they seemed to get along quite nicely, there seemed to be a connection there that she hadn't had with anyone in a long time.

"Is that a proposition?" Zora teased as their drinks appeared at their table, the waitress immediately and discreetly disappearing.

"You wouldn't be trying to con me into a weekend of debauchery in some tropical paradise?" she asked innocently.

Stefan took hold of his new drink and took a swig while she talked about her kid and the boy's father. He almost didn't see the waitress drop them off and leave again. He had to hand it to her, the waitress was good at her job.

Stefan's jaw dropped in comedic disbelief as she spoke of him trying a con on her. He slowly turned back to look at Zora after setting his drink back down.

"Are you accusing ME of trying to con you into a fun filled weekend at a tropical paradise just the two of us?"

He paused for dramatic effect and the shrugged with his lopsided grin coming out in full force.

"...ok maybe...but you can't blame me! Look at you!"

Zora just smiled and nodded her head in response. "Yes, yes, I do believe you would try to con me into such a situation... son of Freiya," she joked, thoroughly enjoying - as she had all evening - the easy banter and growing attraction between them.

"I do think you'd try to get me alone so you could seduce me with your charms," she kidded as she deliberately took a sip of her drink, gazing at Stefan over the rim of her glass, her gaze full of mirth.

"Actually," she said as she put her glass down. "I don't think I'd put up much of a fight if you did," she confessed with a grin. "One of my weaknesses are sexy Nordic men with blue eyes ... " she added as she looked at Stefan coyly.
