images (6).jpegEvening had approached. As it grew closer to time to meet up with Zora, Stefan was already out the door. He still didn't know his way around well and wanted to give himself time to find the place since he didn't know exactly where he was going.

His outfit wasn't exactly outstanding as he didn't own many clothes at the moment, but he made the best out of what he had to compliment his features. A pair of darker jeans below an untucked white button up. No tie around his neck so stefan left the collar open and had the sleeves rolled up. The finishing touch? His mirrored sunglasses of course.

Checking his watch, he knew he was already a little late. As he approached Club Orpheus it didn't look like much but the crowd gathered said otherwise. His icy blue eyes began scanning for any traces of his date Zora.

"Nice job Stefan... you had to be late..."

Dressed in a low cut dark red top, black jeans, and a fitted soft burgundy leather jacket, Zora, who had arrived on time, was now chatting amiably with the bouncer while she waited for Stefan. Although, to be honest, she was getting nervous that he'd not show up... and the fact that she had suggested a bar located on the Strip made her cringe inwardly and worry even more.

To be honest, Zora had no problem with the Strip, her friend, Natasha and her came here to let loose once in a while. However, she wondered what Stefan, someone new to the island and who she was interested in, might think of her after suggesting a bar in an area that was not only an area fueled by night life activities, it was also a gambling and red-light district.

In fact, the more she waited, the more Zora began to sincerely hope that the son of Freiya was as openminded as his mother was rumoured to be. Because, if not, this was going to be an extremely interesting evening.

Worry began to bubble up inside him. He was late and didn't see Zora right away. Luckily for him it didn't take long to find her. There was no mistaking her either. The dark hair, the green eyes. Stefan quickly stepped over to her with a boyish lopsided grin on.

"Hey. Sorry. Still learning the area."

The atmosphere of the area didn't bother him in the least. His mother was a goddess that slept around and was known for her partying and loose morals. A little red light district wasn't gonna bother him.

He was well aware of some of the looks he was getting for what he assumed was wearing sunglasses in the dark, but both him and Zora knew what kinda trouble it could cause.

As soon as Zora saw Stefan, she immediately felt relieved. He had come, and she had to admit once again that he looked very handsome, and strangely enough, not too out of place with his mirrored aviators. It was not, by far, the weirdest look on the Strip.

"It's fine," she said as she greeted him with a welcoming smile. "The city might be small compared to places like Paris or New York, but it still can be somewhat hard to navigate at first... I'm just glad you found your way," she told him as she laid a hand on his arm in greeting.

"Shall we go in?" she said as she gestured toward the inner sanctum that was Club Orpheus. "I got us a reserved table," she admitted as a hostess greeted them and proceeded to walk them to a table that was both intimate yet had a good view of the stage.

"I wouldn't miss meeting up with."

Stefan returned her smile and it quickly drooped into his lopsided grin when he placed her hand on his arm. If he didn't know any better, hed swear Zora had him under a similar spell to what his eyes did.

"After you."

Stefan hung back just enough to let her walk in before him. He chuckled a little as she mentioned getting a reserved booth.

"Oh? Boss lady pulling some strings."

He had taken a liking to the playful chide and nickname he had called her a few times. She didn't seem to mind it either. He looked around while being lead to their booth. Stefan really dug the place, and the booth was great too. Private enough they wouldn't be bothered by much but still able to take in the ambience of the club.

Zora just smiled at Stefan's "boss lady" comment, not offended at all by it.

"Let's just say I have no problem getting tables at bars and restaurants," she remarked, her tone light and casual as the waitress seated them, and then proceeded to inform them about the performances that evening. Afterward, she then asked Zora and Stefan what they'd like to drink.

"I think I am going to go with something sweet and fruity... a Malibu Sunset, if you have it," she told the woman with a smile as she glanced at Stefan, allowing him to order next.

Stefan nodded to the waitress and listened to the performances coming up. Then Zora gave her drink order. Stefan's eyes lit up and got wide behind the glasses. He just remembered he could get 'mortal' drinks again.

"Moscow Mule please."

One could almost hear his words drooling. It had been a minute since he had drank outside of Fólkvangr. No more mead as the only choice. The waitress smiled to them and left to retrieve their drinks. Stefan turned his attention to his date, fully taking her in for the first time. She was stunning.

"You look amazing. Definitely putting me to shame."

"I - ... Thank you," Zora murmured, surprised by the generous compliment as she lowered her gaze for a second, blushing deeply at Stefan's unexpected compliment.

In fact, Zora was grateful for the low lighting and candles at the tables that led a sense of quiet and intimacy to the club despite its popularity.

"You are also looking quite handsome tonight," she said returning the compliment as she looked at him warmly, appreciating once again his blond good looks, though she had to also admit that his warm personality was a good part of what attracted her to him.

"How has your day been by the way?" she said, changing the topic a little as their drinks appeared moments later.

Zora didn't seem to know how to react to compliments and Stefan had picked up on that. Was it because of what she did? Did she intimidate most people? Or did they just see her as a business partner and not so much a person? Stefan was definitely more interested in the person, although her accomplishments made her that much more interesting.

"It was alright. Slow honestly. Still setting up the apartment, so lots of handiwork getting furniture built and in place."

The waitress set their drinks on the table and stepped away giving them privacy again. Grabbing the copper cup he took a sip of his mule.

"Boy that's good. What about you? Anything interesting happen?"

About then the lights on the stage brightened as the first performance was about to start. Stefan slid around the U-shaped booth closer to Zora to more face the stage.

Anything interesting? That was a tricky question if she wanted to keep up the facade of a successful small businesswoman.

Taking a sip of her drink, she shrugged nonchalantly as she made room for Stefan beside her as the first act started setting up. "Besides meeting an extremely charming demigod, you mean?" she began as she shifted her position slightly so that her thigh was almost touching Stefan's.

"Well, I'd say it has been fairly normal workwise. I have a meeting next week with a client in Capetown and another in Egypt. They are both from families of notable "healers" who have been with us for decades now..." she explained with a small smile, her eyes twinkling with suppressed amusement as she decided to drop a few little but important details about herself.
