He returned to the car with his kit bag and backpack in tow, only 7 minutes after he's left the car. He will sort out the logistics of getting rid of his dorm later on with the school authorities, after he gets settled into Mr. Sterling's apartment. Leaving it empty for a few days shouldn't cause too much trouble. Well, his apartment too, at this point.

"I don't own many things," Jamie said, putting his kit bag into the back of the car and settling into the passenger seat. He had already tried something new today. That was enough for one day. Maybe he'll drive again later, if Mr. Sterling allowed him. "I hope you don't mind."

"That'a all. I never owned anything really before I left the facility. I haven't needed many things." Jamie explained. He knew that people got surprised at how little things he owned, even when he had told them previously that they don't own much. People always expected at least a large suitcase, but he really didn't have many things. Maybe now that he's living in a proper house he can buy more things?

"You don't mind, right?" he added quickly, buckling his seatbelt over his shoulder.

"Thank you," Jamie said, quietly. He watched the scenery go by from the window of the car, running a hand through his hair. He was glad that Mr. Sterling had seemed like a decent roommate to live with from the last 40 minutes or so he had spent with him, and he hadn't managed to make Mr. Sterling mad. That was good progress. He was learning how to get along with people.

Could he call Mr. Sterling his friend yet? He'd like to. As much as Jamie was initially hesitant, he was looking forwards to having Mr. Sterling as his roommate.
