> Eleanor

Eleanor had spend her first week in Manta Carlos sightseeing but when it came down to it, she knew she had to start facing responsibility. She was pretty sure at one point in time her parents were going to cut off her allowance since she doesn't even go to school. She had plenty of time to work full-time.

Of course, her sight seeing wasn't for nothing. While she went around town, she also went to check out shops and listed down which caught her attention. There was this one cute Goth cafe — in all honestly she wanted to work there but there was this feeling of dread she was getting from it. Surely that was a bad sign so she decided otherwise.

There were a few more but some looked intimidating for her — either they were too fancy or they had this feeling of foreboding. Until she found one cute, sunny little cafe that caught her heart.

Eleanor stood in front of The Bean Scene for a moment, trying to get her head into the game. Even though it barely showed in her face, she was all sorts of nervous and excited about job hunting. But alright, she shouldn't stand around too long.

She looked at her dress, checking if there was anything out of place: her powder blue dress was just right as it settled below her knees, and its long white sleeves helped covered her arms. She made sure to wear satin gloves and grey leggings to prevent her scars from showing. Looking at her reflection from the glass pane, she made sure her hair wasn't flying out and her white headband was doing its job.

After a quick intake of breath, she slowly breathed it out before entering through the door, eager to find the proprietor, hoping to get a spot. She approached one of the employees behind the counter, "Um, hello. Excuse me but... is the owner here today?" she asked, her voice shrinking a little from being a little nervous.

Rhapsody yawned to herself as she wiped down the main counter. It was a pretty slow day at the shop, though it usually slowed down later in the day. She smiled as she was approached by a girl in a rather cute dress.

The siren looked the girl up and down, smiling from behind her shades. Giving a nod, she spoke.

"The owner, she is here today.
Here forever, here to stay.
Why might you be looking, friend?
Tell me, let your questions end."

Eleanor didn't know what she was supposed to expect. That the "employee" she talked to might actually be the owner already or that she had the coolest way of talking. There was the faint glimmer in her eyes as she gasped softly.

For the short moment she had to think, she debated whether or not she wanted to make an impression or just try to tone it down but her eagerness got better of her. She bit her lip before she carefully spoke her words from the top of her head.

"T-to seek a career, for that, I'm here;
The name is Eleanor Wu; so the owner, might it be you?"

Rhapsody's smile got bigger once the girl began to speak. Hmm, this girl obviously had an appreciation for the finer things in life if she was going to imitate Rhapsody's manner of speech.

That or she was desperate.

"The Owner, Yes, is me Indeed.
Now, Eleanor Wu, what is it you need?"

Eleanor hesitated. Should she keep going? She wasn't really sure; in fact might have started feeling intimidated. Sure, Eleanor might have been the smartest kid in class everywhere she went--heck, she could probably compete in slam poetry if she actually tried--but that wasn't exactly her forte.

Oh well, she was here already. She might as well see this through.

"I'd hoped for a job vacancy, and came here for a peek;
The 'Scene caught my fancy; might I have what you seek?"

Rhapsody smiled, chuckling. This girl had chops, Rhapsody had to give her that. Not many usually put up with her rhyming, let alone join in.

"You seek a job here, but do you have the skills?
To earn a nice paycheck and pay all your bills.
Can you memorize orders, carry them out?
Deliver a tray without needing to shout?
Your qualifications, I do need to see.
Your resume, Please. Hand it to me."

Rhapsody smiled, stepping out from behind her counter, tilting her sunglasses down to meet Eleanor's eyes with her own.
