Enelya nodded, "Well, you seem to have loosened up a bit; as far as personality goes. But, as far as your powers go, your at 15 feet instead of zero, thats a great improvement, if you ask me." She gave him a small smile, and gentle hug.

He shrugged and returned the hug. "That's not really a power of you ask me... Just a skill that requires a lot of practice to go anywhere with. My anatomy knowledge is still terrible."

Enelya, blushing, looked up at Kotah, looking into his magical purple eyes, glistening in the moonlight. She felt safe, up in the vine pad, in his arms. She felt like nothing could touch her, and that everything that might have been a worry, doubt, or concern, went away, even if it was for a short moment.

He looked into her eyes, eyes that resembled his slightly; his own memories ending their similarities by reflecting through the constant turmoil between the inner and outer sections of his iris, both glowing and pulsing in an attempt to crush the other. He looked to the sky, his face never betraying his thoughts.

(I'm sure that last paragraph was a tad confusing... I can try to explain it more if you want.)

She gave him a playful grin, "Everything is a growth in character! Good enough for me. But... then again, my standards are pretty low." She chuckled a bit, and gave him a quick wink.

She reached and touched his face, moving aside hair attempting to hide Kotah's indentity. She ran a hand down his cheek, and memorized the curves and grooves of his face, not wanting to forget them. She had forgotten enough of her past, and didn't want to forget him... She smirked slightly, running her fingers through a section of his long, dark hair.

((OOC: What are this thoughts? :o ))

He shrugged a little with a sigh to match. "I've got a long way to go, and it doesn't seem like I'm going fast enough. That's all." He poked her nose to try to lighten the mood a little.

He blinked at the show of affection and glanced elsewhere, almost embarassed, but not quite. He was so used to hiding his thoughts and feelings that he wasn't sure if he should speak his mind or not. He closed his eyes and lowered his head, not saying anything, but letting her play with his hair.

Enelya nudged him slightly, "You shouldn't rush it. Don't worry, it'll come on its own. You just need to be patient..." She gave him a light grin, and another nudge.

Her finger gently sweeped through his face one more, and she let her hand drop. She sighed slightly... not really sure of what to say to his silence... but just put her head on his shoulder, and clutched his arm.

Kotah rested his head on hers, his face burried in her hair. Breathing deep but quietly, he let her scent fill his head as he hugged her close. It had been entirely too long since he had this sort of phsyical contact with anyone, let alone the compassion he felt. Thoughts of his mother flashed through his head again, how she had tried to comfort him once. This always brought back thoughts of his father as well, sending a small shiver of rage through his body. His foster parents were good people, but even good people have negitive opinions.

"Hey, Enelya..." He murmered in her hair before lifting his head and looking down at her. "There's something I should probably tell you that might explain a few things." He suddenly felt the chill of the night and had to do his best to keep from curling up for body warmth.

"I said my foster parents were good people. That's true, but there's a reason I secluded myself to the attic. You see... I was downstairs playing the piano one day when my foster mother came in. She could tell I was having a rough day, so she sat next to me and tried to comfort me about it when my foster father came in. They must have been arguing about sending me away for a while because I've never seen him actually yell before. He threw her out of the room and would have trashed the piano if I hadn't left so fast." He glanced elsewhere. "That's why I don't play very much anymore and why I don't like people very much. Good or bad, they're the same."

Enelya let go of him, looking him straight in the face, ready to hear whatever he had to say, apparently by his tone and manner, it was important, and she didn't want to misunderstand anything. She nodded as he spoke.

Good or bad, they're the same."

Her face went gentle, and comforting, she put a hand on his shoulder, and tilted her head as he spoke. As he finished she gently pulled him near her, giving him a tight embrace. "He's gone now...at least he didn't cause any... real damage, other than... throwing your mother..." She let go from him momentarily only to put his chin in her hand, making him look at her. "The past is gone. It's what we do with the present that matters." She gave him a small smile, and embraced him again.

This philosophy was one that kept her going throug the awful nights of nightmares and flashbacks. Or was the past important? She didn't know her own, in return she got horrible nightmares, but was that because of her clouded past? She didn't know, but maybe it would find some comfort in Kotah.

He shook his head, "It's not him I'm afraid of. It's everyone else. I mean, everyone has a bad streak and who knows how bad one can be if it's never been tested? Or if it has been tested, what's to keep it from coming out again? It's not fear I have toward people, it's disapointment knowing that the best person can never truely be 'good'." He shook his head again. "And I know my bad streak and I'm wondering what's going to happen if you see it."

Enelya smiled gently... and shrugged, "You lack faith, my dear. Yes... humanity does have a dark side, but everything does. Its how... you deal with it, that makes the difference. I have faith that most people can supress the ultimate evil in them... Although many people here seem to have let go of that control of themselves... But besides that, I'm very trusting of humanity, maybe overly so... I just want to give everyone a chance. You know?" She looked down, then kissed him softly on the cheek. "I.. trust you too."

He looked down a moment, wondering if she knew what he had tried to say. Some of the stuff he's been reading is rather... gruesome, yet he welcomes the idea of testing them out. And it wasn't trust he had an issue with, it was the simple fact that humanity is doomed. Disapointment, maybe, or even despair. He looked into her eyes, almost sternly. "I know full well of my own evils and that they will surface again. I also know I'm on the low end of the skill tree and that there are many out there stronger than me with just as much rebuke toward humanity if not plenty more." His lips pursed together and he glanced off in another direction, his face softening as he looked down at himself and muttered, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought this up.

Her own face went stern, looking at his face, with confusion. "Of course your evils will resurface. It always does. It's apart of us that we cannot change, but hopefully control. Besides, just because your on the low end of the skill tree, doesn't mean you don't have the power to change that. Kotah, theres more to life than hate, and fighting. Don't let it consume you.."

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought this up."

She looked away, sadness stained her eyes, but they did not tear. She understood that life wasn't all fun and games, and realized there was hurt in the world... But that it shouldn't consume you. If theres one thing she would say nature has taught her, is that everything heals in time. After every war, scar, and tear put upon this Earth, it has managed to heal itself... Maybe not as good as it was before, but it still healed. "Better not to keep secrets..." She glanced at him for a moment, looking away again.
