Shay wanted to throw him to the ground, to strike his face repeatedly until all she saw was red until his face was red with blood and warmth. Tear out his eyes, push on his windpipe. Anything and everything. Shay struck out like a wild animal at anything should could touch, bite, hit, kick. She didn't even mind when she brushed skin to skin and saw his death. Somehow, it managed to fuel her more. Add to the fire. The hatred.
It wasn't just Auden. It was everyone. Everything. Life. People and their stupid assumptions. Toby and confusion. Klaus and Vito and fear. Family and their strange acceptance. Lost parents. Nightmares. Physical contact. School. Friends. All of it came together in a whirlwind of absolute hatred. And all of it was aimed directly at Auden.
Shit. Well, it seemed that his rather innocent comments had made the little flower a ball of fury for sure. Was what he said that hurtful to her big ego? All he could imagine was that he had definitely hit a hidden nerve with her. How lovely. Though, in a few seconds, he was seeing her move even closer as she lunged and attacked him with a surprising amount of strength. Though her weight and force wasn't enough to knock him over, the fact that he had tried to back up only made it worse. Falling hard on his back, the girl seemed to glide onto his body, aiming for his face.
Did he stop her? Of course not. Instead, he just laid there, looking up at the sky as he felt the pain on him. Was she scratching, or maybe clawing? Not that he was going to look down to find out. Once his face felt rather bruised up and beaten, he gave off a sigh of distress and half leaned up. Taking her hands by the wrist, Auden placed their hands on their side of them. The Raven Mocker then used that to lean himself up all the way, staring face to face with his abuser. "Are you done now girlie?"

Shay's face went hot because he was entirely too close and he was holding her wrists at their sides, which was awkward at the best of times. Everything was calm and quiet while Shay stared into his covered eyes, her own large with surprise. It was sudden when Shay fell backward, trying to scramble out of his touch and out of his reach. If he let her go, she crawled backward until her back hit a tree and she could breathe.
He was making her feel insignificant. That wasn't wholly hard to do, but still, it stung. Her pride was more wounded than her throbbing hands. Gloves had protected him from her nails, but not from her knuckles. She looked up at him, eyebrows lowered in disgust. Shay breathed out harshly.
When she moved back, he of course let her go. As much as he had wanted to lean in and kiss her, that wasn't what she wanted. He only sat there, adjusting his glasses to their upright position. Auden moved his jaw around to make sure that it was alright. Thankfully there was no major damage on his face. With another sigh, he stood, wobbling for a few seconds before standing upright. "SO that was a thing..." The boy brushed himself off and spat a wad of saliva to the left of him. "I hope you got some of your rage out on me, though, like I said before, I don't hit people I like."

She got up and approached him, immediately throwing a fist at his face. It was strange, yes, but for once, Shay just wanted people to stop treating her like.... like... a human! Like she was delicate. Weak. Insignificant.
"Stop liking me and just fight me! I don't want your approval. I don't want your anything."
"DO I need to?" To be fair, he didn't really like like her, it was more so that he liked her because she wasn't a pushover. Also her families' name was a big selling point for him. Though, he let the little girl punch him in the face; it was right on the bridge of the nose too. Thankfully, there was no damage to his glasses. As his nose got all fuzzy feeling, a trail of blood ran down it. For a few seconds he only stared and listened to Eroshay, before he wiped his nose and sniffled up. Ow.
"Well, I mean I like fighters, though not in the way you want." With a smirk, he put a hand on her behind. "I can uh, wrestle with you if you really want to- I mean I just assumed you wanted a punching bag. You need to tell me this shit."

"I'm leaving." Shay wanted to fight him, yes. She'd have kept pushing for it too if he hadn't said that comment. Now, she just felt numb, and she wanted to leave. She recalled Vito's story and, not for the first time, wished she could bring her dagger into school. Or her gun. Any weapon, really.
Eroshay backed away from him, turned, and made a swift walk for the school, trying damned hard not to look back or look as if she had her metaphorical tail tucked between her legs.
It seemed that the light butt caress had not been appreciated by her. Wasn't that what she wanted? To have some physical contact? To Auden, he would have thought that the slight caress would have made her want to fight even more; though it seemed he miscalculated. As she ran away, there were many things that went through his mind. Rather than doing any of them, he only stood there, half smiling as she ran away. What a cool girl.~
