Nicolas started trembling and fear and hid behind Mery once again. He had listened to all that, but it was scary how much she had said. "Save me..." he whispered to his wife.

"... and you have to stay here and listen or I'll hurt you some more, got it?"

"Um, well, technically, that didn't hurt..." he said. Probably not the wisest thing to say on his part.

"Pshhh. Not on your life, sweetie!" Mery said, and she walked off to talk to Candle.

Petrova glared. "Well, I will MAKE it hurt. And no talking squirt. It's payback time. So you shut up and listen to me talk, okay? Good. Now that we have that established...This is my sword. It is shiny. Shiny sword likes hurting people. Isn't the shiny sword cool? Yes, it is. Are we afraid of shiny sword? Yes, we are. Any comments?"

Candle looked at Mery. "Why hello thar!!" he said.

"But but but you CAN'T make it hurt." Nicolas pointed to his head. "It's a genetic disorder!" He gulped. He really shouldn't be saying this, it wouldn't do any good.

"... Are we afraid of shiny sword? .... "

"Not really..." he commented.

"I SAID NO TALKING!" Petrova yelled angrily. "You're ruining my fun! I am SO MAD! Why can't you just BE QUIET!? Grr. I hate it when people do that. Do you know why? Because it annoys me. And when I get annoyed, I tend to get mad. And when I get mad, Shiny tends to come out of it's sheath. And I'm not quite sure that you want to know what happens after that!" Petrova would have laughed, but that would have ruined her act.

Nicolas sighed inwardly. He was just silent this time, wondering if that would please her. He looked over to Mery, hoping she would at least save him eventually.

Nicolas was tempted to roll his eyes, but he didn't, knowing that she might hurt him if he did. "You're the one who said I couldn't talk..." he mumbled, slightly annoyed.
