"Do you want to stay here?" She shook her head a little, trying to sway her lightheadedness with it. Having the kid's subconscious act out right here and now (in the first session even) wouldn't be pleasant in anyway (and yes she debated with the pros and cons with the little time she had before finally pulling her plan out all together at the very last minute).

Versil casually stood up, inconspicuously stretching her arms a little in hopes of comfort and then slowly striding over to Tyler and crouching to match the student's sitting height. She reached for his forehead and slowly pushed his bangs away from his eyes, looking at them straight. "Or would you prefer a stroll?"

"Or would you prefer a stroll?"

Tyler blushed when Versil gently pushed away his bangs. He quickly averted his eyes as red started to color his ears and cheeks. "A s-stroll would be nice," he half-muttered, cheeks still a bit red.

Physical contact was not something Tyler often got from other people. Especially from females. Not since the day he got the gut feeling that something was wrong with him. His last hug had been given to him by his mother the night she went crazy. His last kiss happened four years ago (It was with a girl whose insanity came in the form of obsession. He had seriously hoped that she was immune to his power.) And the last time he had sex was, well, never.

And now, all of the sudden, he was sitting in a pretty woman's dorm and said woman was so nice and conveniently immune to his power. 'She's also older than you. And a staff member,' Tyler reminded himself. But there was really nothing wrong with having a puppydog crush anyway. And luckily for him, said puppydog crush had conveniently silenced the voice in his head. For now.

"A quick saunter will calm him a bit," Versil thought as she smiled and stood up, gathering their plates and teacups and apologizing as she leisurely walked over her kitchenette again, putting said plates and cups in the sink. She then texted Giro and Kev to let them know she'll be out and that their key will be in its usual hideaway — under their thick doormat. (They are using the Arpeggio's old one from their old room because they haven't got the time to go shopping.)

She then gestured for Tyler to the exit as she picked her thin coat up, expecting a rather cold chill outside. Tomorrow will be the last day of summer, and the next day after that is the start of her favorite season — autumn. She can't hide her cheeriness as she practically frolicked over where Tyler is, humming a few lines of her made-up song with the thoughts of golden brown leaves dancing about in every path she'll walk. And if they're lucky, Verse and Tyler might find themselves under the drizzle of the early announcement of fall.

But then she stopped abruptly, pinched the bridge of her nose as if in sudden deep thought. "I'll tell you a secret," she droned. "I can nullify your powers if you'd let me, so we can stroll carefreely if that's what you'll like."

She looked at him with a glint in her eyes painting her excitement born with their to-be-stroll. Whatever Tyler choose — to let his abilities linger there or be normal for one amble — either will be interesting for the doctor.

Tyler nodded obediently and exited the room. The few people that were inside the building were staying in their rooms so it was easy for him to stay unnoticed while he stood outside the room, waiting for Versil. He leaned against the wall, looking at his shoes. 'This was a bad idea,' he told himself. 'Strolls means meeting other people on the way. Probably should've stayed inside.' He bit his lip and glanced around him, looking out for anyone passing by.

He looked up as soon as he heard Versil approach. Tyler followed her, still glancing around warily, as she started walking towards the exit. He nearly bumped into her back when she suddenly stopped. He made a quick step back and looked at her, puzzled.

"I can nullify your powers if you'd let me, so we can stroll carefreely if that's what you'll like."

Tyler couldn't hide his surprise and excitement at the idea. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped a little. "Wha- You can do that?!" he asked the psychiatrist eagerly, a grin forming on his face. A sudden thought came to him and his excitement levels dropped. "Um, there are no negative side effects that come with it, are there?" he asked hesitantly. He didn't know much about other abilities, but he knew that some powers came with a price.

When she felt a light force pushing her from behind she turned in reflex just in time to see Tyler grinning. Versil smiled at the student's boyish reaction before injecting a: "If you call being close to me a negative side effect, then I am guilty." She jested. "I need to hook my arms with yours for starters. Because you can't wander far from me."

First she needs to establish a physical connection, to say... transfer her nullifying ability temporarily and after that, she can let Tyler move about freely for as far as she could see him.

The doctor didn't mind watching over Tyler one bit, she just hopes the kid doesn't mind being watched.

"I need to hook my arms with yours for starters. Because you can't wander far from me."

Tyler nodded. That made sense. He'd actually be surprised if there was no need for physical contact to pass on her power. "Alright," he said eagerly, not able to hide his excitement. The thought of being normal, even just for a little while, was just so appealing to him.

Holding eye contact, walking through crowds, being in the public's eye without any consequence, those were the things Tyler had always wished for. What Versil was offering him was a taste of this normalcy, and there is no way Tyler was going to not accept it.

He stepped closer to the shorter woman and shyly offered her his arm, a vague memory of his mother teaching him how to be a gentleman when he was five briefly crossing his mind.

Versil gave him a dimple deepened smile before taking the student's arm in hers, playfully jabbing Tyler's shoulder in the process and not really caring about how she pressed her side towards the kid. She's this naive about touches that she never really thinks twice about her physical contacts. (Sometimes a source of rumours yes, but she never paid attention since she was never guilty in the first place and her brothers don't see anything wrong about it. Culture shift — from England and America and vice versa, made the Arpeggios take physical contacts lightly, often too lightly.)

Her ears started to redden again as she slowly transferred some of her nullifying waves to Tyler, heat rising and accumulating in that make-shift bridge to concentrate and direct her power. "Mind sweeping your bangs off of your gorgeous eyes for this walk?" She asked casually, not realising how her hold tightened around the younger's arm (or how she actually sounded like she used a pick-up line) as she started walking slowly. "That way you'll see the summer sun better."

Tyler's pale cheeks reddened when Versil pressed her side against his. 'This is a bit awkward,' he thought and bit his lip in embarrassment. Suddenly, he felt it. At first, it was a subtle heat between them, and then it slowly felt like the heat was flowing into him in small waves. It was a very weird feeling for him.

"Mind sweeping your bangs off of your gorgeous eyes for this walk?

"Wh-what?" Tyler stuttered out, eyes widening, his receding blush coming back full force when he heard the word 'gorgeous' come out of Versil's mouth. 'Is she... flirting with me?' he thought. The voice inside him sniggered. 'You wish,' it taunted, but Tyler ignored it and paid it no mind. 'Maybe she's just being friendly,' he told himself. 'Yeah, that must be it.'

"That way you'll see the summer sun better."

'See? Just being friendly,' he thought. "I, um, I'm fine," he told Versil, willing his blush to just leave his face already. "I-I could see just fine." He looked away from Versil and bit his lip. "Um, h-how long is this going to last exactly?"

"You want to get away from me so eagerly?" The doctor tattled, oblivious to kid's reddening face. "It might take a while, so bear with me, okay?" She answered nonetheless, waving a jovial hand at a group of students that passed by them who called her name and greeted her with enthusiasm. "And don't worry," She whispered, enough for Tyler to hear. "Everyone knows I transfer some of my ability from time to time, rest assure this will not be a display of anything out of the ordinary."

Tyler instinctively lowered his head when a group of students passed by, a byproduct of isolating himself for years. He nodded when Versil told him about how this was a normal scene. He supposed that made some sense. He probably wasn't the only student around with dangerous uncontrollable powers who needed help.

"So," he started, trying to make small talk with the doctor. "H-how big is this school anyway? From what I've seen, it's huge, and I haven't even toured the whole place yet."

He looked around. Even the dormitories seemed bigger than normal. Or what he assumed was normal because he had never really had the chance to go to school normally after the incident. His foster parents had allowed him to enroll at an online high school instead. 'Thank God for the internet,' he thought idly.
