"Emerald green huh... if it's green we're talking about I can't help thinking about seagreen oceans, the ones that look so deep yet it's just, shallow." Like fearing something that's actually not to be feared about.

Versil laughed, her eyes smiling at the refreshing change the student was able to accomplish. "Oh, another favorite is pastel lavender, you know when the sun is just around the corner but there's still no rays? It's just like faded very light violet. During those times, it's like you own the world."

She's normal like this, narrating her experience, painting her feelings. She hoped to establish something with Tyler over the border of doctor and patient.

She wanted him to look at her and see someone he could trust.

She wanted him to see her not as his psychiatrist, but his friend.

Tyler smiled when Versil laughed. Her laughter was a sweet sound that resonated through the room and lifted his spirits. "Like you own the world, huh?" he parroted as he looked down and stared at his lap. 'That would be nice,' he thought, memories passing through his mind again, only this time it was slower, as if he were just browsing through them. 'If I did own the world...' he mused.

"If I owned the world," he started softly, voicing out his thoughts, and then he looked at Versil's brown eyes. "If I owned the world," he repeated a bit louder this time, "I would get rid of all disease. Wouldn't the world be a better place?" Tyler's smile was bittersweet. "If it were only possible, no one would ever get sick." His eyes glazed over as he thought of his parents. "Both mentally and physically." But then he looked down and laughed sadly, quietly. "It's impossible though. Once you get sick, there's always the chance you never get better, and sometimes the chances of getting better are just...," Images of all the people his powers affected slowly crossed his mind again. "It just becomes impossible," he said, voice growing softer towards the end. "Both mentally and physically," whispered Tyler with an unmistakable undertone of guilt and grief lacing his voice.

A short silence filled the room before Tyler laughed unconvincingly. "I-I'm so sorry. I-I'm such a downer, aren't I?" He looked up again, a small fake smile plastered on his thin lips even though his eyes clearly conveyed the massive guilt he felt.

"Yeah you are." Versil admitted, not feeling the urge to lie. She was never the type to lie to anyone anyway. "But you're also kind." She added, remembering his wish of no one ever getting sick again. And the she started gesturing with her hands drawing some lines in the air. "But hey, when you're down, you can't go anywhere else but up, right?"

"And I believe there is no such thing as impossible. The word itself says it: 'I'm possible.'" Versil made sure to not break the eye contact, to just smile like she wanted to, to speak with gentle cheer.

"I'm not saying everything will go smoothly from now Tyler." She finally said, deciding to hit home for the first time. "But I can assure you, you're not alone through this anymore."

"Yeah you are."

"Oh," he replied with a weak voice. Tyler looked down at his hands again and his lips trembled slightly. 'There's just no hope for me, is there?' he asked himself mentally, already thinking that he knew the answer.

"But you're also kind."

His gaze snapped back up, Versil's warm smile making him feel wanted and welcomed. Tyler stayed quiet, eyes never leaving Versil's brown orbs as she spoke. "And I believe there is no such thing as impossible. The word itself says it: 'I'm possible.'" He couldn't help but crack a smile at her optimism. Her voice was gentler than most people's and kinder as well. Most of all, it was one of the sanest voices Tyler remembered ever hearing.

"I'm not saying everything will go smoothly from now Tyler. But I can assure you, you're not alone through this anymore."

Tyler remained silent and closed his eyes, digesting her words. There was a part of him that refused to believe her, saying that once she sees what his powers could really do she'll leave him and forget her promise. But a bigger part of him trusted her despite the fact that they only met today. She listened when no one else could, didn't turn him away when almost everyone else did, and she gave him hope when he needed it most.

Tyler opened his eyes again and smiled at her, genuinely this time. "Thank you," he told her quietly, his gratitude crystal clear in those two words. "Thank you. I really appreciate it," he repeated, his shoulders drooping as if a huge burden had just been lifted off of them. "You honestly have no idea how much I needed this," he added, laughing quietly as he realized that he himself probably had no idea as well. "I, I really just-- thank you."

The psychiatrist smiled, warmth filling her chest with this unexplainable experience.

You're always going to be welcome. Seems too few to answer Tyler's whole-hearted thanks.

So she settled with: "Oh, I have some cheesecake I bet you want to taste them yes? I made them." She excused as she slowly stood up and maneuvered to the kitchen.

She honestly wanted Tyler to taste her specialty, but she also wanted to call Giro, tell him that it's okay to stay out a little longer. She needed a little more time to be with this kid. She wanted to spend some more time with him, help him with the best she can. And the fact that Giro is the jealous type won't help so...

She reached for the cake and got it out of the ref, sliced two parts and placed them on two different plates.

As she moved about the little kitchen, she thought of what the kid might be thinking. Maybe Tyler thinks he'll be a bother, or that maybe she'll also turn away like what Versil is sensing his past could have accumulated so many memories of.

She knows she won't be able to overwrite those painful realities, but it is her moral code to never break promises. She promised Tyler that she'll journey with him until he'll be able to get a hold of whatever he wants to get a hold of.

And she will never give up until then.

Specially not on those who needs her.

"Blueberry, is it okay?" She chimed as she gently placed the plates on the nearest flat surface she can. "Give me a minute to get Earl Grey." And she dashed right back to the little kitchen to fetch some.

Tyler's like a slowly burning candle, all his burnt parts might be wrong...

But what's left of him could be right.

"Oh, I have some cheesecake I bet you want to taste them yes? I made them."

"Oh! It's alri-" Tyler tried to wave away her offer and deny politely, not wanting to bother Versil anymore than he already had, but she left before he could get a word in. He bit his lip and brought down his hand on his lap again.

He sighed and decided to wait quietly instead. He looked around the room, not that there was much to look at. The walls were still bare and without decoration since Versil hasn't finished unpacking yet, but the room seemed to have a welcoming atmosphere already. 'Or maybe that's just me,' he thought as he reflected on his conversation with the psychologist. Tyler smiled again, feeling relief. He still couldn't believe that he finally found someone who could help him experience some semblance of normality here, on this tiny island in the middle of the ocean. In a sense, he found help in the middle of nowhere.

"Blueberry, is it okay?"

He looked up and nodded as Versil placed the two plates on a nearby table. "Oh, blueberry is just fine," he replied and took one of the plates with a soft 'thank you.' His eyes widened in delight when he saw the cheesecakes. "They look delicious," he told Versil with sincerity.

"Give me a minute to get Earl Grey."

Tyler nodded again and set down his plate on his lap, deciding to wait for her so that they could eat together. He smiled again, reminding himself to thank his friend, Adam, later for telling him about the guidance counselors.

After forever, Giro finally picked up. "Don't get back yet." She quietly said. Of course the other line asked why, but she just told him she'll explain later and hung up.

After brewing the tea, she met Tyler back and saw him waiting for her. "I'm sorry for the wait," she apologized as she set down the cups. "So how's the island so far?" She started. A rather middle-lined question. Either he talks or breaks. There's no in-between. But Versil knows what she's doing, she just hopes Tyler will be able to be as strong as she thought he was. And the psychiatrist believes this. She believes, after all Tyler went through, that this kid is stronger than most.

"So how's the island so far?"

Tyler took his cup with a nod of thanks and sipped his tea before answering. "It's been... alright I guess," he said. 'So far, anyway,' he added mentally while he took another sip of his tea. "This is really great, by the way." He smiled at Versil and then set down his cup and began to eat his cheesecake.

"I've never really had an official tour, but I'm starting to know my way around," he told her as he took a bite. "My roommate, Adam, shows me around sometimes, when the streets aren't so crowded. I mean, he isn't immune to my powers but his insanity isn't really..." he paused, trying to find the right words and then shrugged. "It's not that harmful, I guess. He just kinda... laughs a lot at everything? I'm also waiting on a potion from a shop called 'Blades and Potions' that could possibly help dampen my powers," he added, and then he was suddenly struck with an idea. He leaned forward and asked her a question.

"Um, do you know any staff member who could, um, teach me how to control my powers? I-it's alright if you don't though. I just," he bit his lip and looked to the side, "I just thought that it would be, um, for the best since the potion is just going to be a temporary solution."

Versil was hurt. And she does not like it.

Am I not a staff member?

She cleared her throat, afraid that she might give him the shudders if she answered him with the way her mood changed.

She still smiled, though, and when an Arpeggio smiles you never know what they are really thinking. "May I asked, who told you about me?" Her voice didn't change. It would take a highly experienced companion to notice that her tone became a tad darker.

Her aura, not a problem at all. She can easily facade it with her powers.

Apparently, she is not enough.
Still not enough, huh?

"And by Adam, do you, perchance, mean Wayland?" She added, calming herself with every word, holding her cup of Earl Grey still with poise and grace.

"Oh, my friend Adam told me I should look up the guidance counselor staff for someone to talk to," Tyler said, oblivious to Versil's change of mood. "I... was kinda hesitant at first then I saw that one of them had nullifying powers," he added, then smiled at Versil. "That someone being you."

"Yeah, Adam Wayland has been showing me around. My powers still affect him, but in a more... positive way compared to what I'm used to, like," Tyler paused trying to find a word for it. "Like he just smiles and laughs at everything but it feels like he's not laughing because he's happy or something." He looked down at his own cup of tea, recalling his first meeting with the scarred boy. Whenever Adam did laugh genuinely, it did not sound like his laugh whenever he's under the effects of Tyler's ability.

"And... I really appreciate you talking to me," he looked up and smiled at her warmly and gratefully. "It's just," he bit his lip again, feeling a bit embarrassed, then continued softly. "I don't want to bother you anymore than I already have."
