He slipped his hand in his pocket removing a black velvet box, his heart aflutter with love for her. He handed her the box, "Eversince that first date I couldn't get you out of my mind, I bought you this even though I was unsure I'd ever be able to give it to you." He kissed her hand before slipping the box in her hands. His eyes watched her the look of smitten love never leaving his eyes, he would give up anything to make her happy.

He loved her beyond anything or anyone, his lips formed a happy serene smile at her. He hoped she liked it, he kept feeling so floaty. This was why he never gave up on love, his eyes looked at her's the happy love smitten look on his face didn't fade. He looked like a puppy that met his owner who he loved. He was all her's nothing could change that.

Cordelia blinked when he handed her the box. She hadn't expected a present or anything... she never did. She listened as he spoke and smiled, surprised that she actually meant that much to someone. How he had fallen in love with her when she had been so mean to him she would never know, but she was glad it had happened. For the first time in months, her heart wasn't really feeling as empty as it used to, and it was all because of Percy.

The woman opened the box and blinked when she saw the necklace, then smiled again. She wasn't really one for jewelry — in fact, she pretty much hated it — but this necklace was really rather pretty. She took it out of the box and then noticed the inscription, her smile growing wider. What had she ever done to make him love her this much?

She wrapped her arms around Percy in a tight hug and kissed his cheek. "Thank you," she told him. "I love it. But no more jewelry after this, alright?" She offered another smile, then moved her hair so it wasn't in the way and put the necklace on.

"Thank you, I love it. But no more jewelry after this, alright?"

He smirked mischeviously, "I have to get you two more things before I can say yes to that question. Two preferably round things that are very much so important to such people as us." He said refering to wedding rings and engagement ring. He wasn't going to lie, he planned on getting those in the future so he couldn't say no more jewelery. Though he had plotted how to get her a ring she wanted without her knowing she was getting it.

He kissed her lightly, "I love you Cordelia, I love you so much I'd fight Rayana and most likely die seeing how strong and mean she can be. But I'd fight her for you." He said to her looking in her beautiful eyes his arms around her. He took his empty hand and moved a stray hair out of her face. He never wanting this to end.

"... Two preferably round things that are very much so important to such people as us."

Cordelia blinked. She stared at him for a while, confused as to what he had said. Two more pieces of jewelry that were round? Rings didn't come to mind, but earrings did. "What? Percy, my ears aren't pierced," she said. "I don't need earrings, so no more jewelry!" She was so ignorant to what he was planning, but that was a good thing. Right now, even though she loved him and wanted to be with him, marriage wasn't exactly something she was planning on in the near future unless something huge happened.

"... I love you so much I'd fight Rayana and most likely die seeing how strong and mean she can be. But I'd fight her for you."

At this, the woman threw her head back and laughed, then shook her head. "Thanks, that means a lot," she said. "And I would, uh... well I could fight Rayana and live... um..." She blinked, then shook her head again, looking into his eyes now as well. "You get what I mean, right? I love you."

He chuckled, "They aren't that useless and I promise it won't be earings my love. It's something else and farther in the future, but I'm sure you won't be against wearing it when you realize what it is." He said with a light smile.

"Thanks, that means a lot, And I would, uh... well I could fight Rayana and live... um... You get what I mean, right? I love you."

He smiled, "It's a good thing you love me then, because I don't know if I could win against her." He kissed her lightly on the forehead, "But if your life was in danger I definately could." He said holding her tighter, the blood stain on his shoulder was nothing he worried about. He rather worry about the love of his life in his arms than a stupid shirt.

".... It's something else and farther in the future, but I'm sure you won't be against wearing it when you realize what it is."

The twenty-year-old blinked. If it wasn't earrings, then what could it be? She didn't really know what else was round and came in pairs. "What is it?" she finally asked, poking his arm. She could be rather persistent and stubborn, so hopefully Percy realized what he had just gotten himself into.

"But if your life was in danger I definately could."

Cordelia laughed. "You sure I can count on you for that?" she asked, obviously teasing, and rested her head on his shoulder slightly. "But you needn't worry. My life is never going to be in danger... I don't think anyone hates me that much." She laughed, knowing that people didn't like her, but she didn't think it would be enough to want to end her life. Oh, how absolutely wrong she was when she said that.

"What is it?"

"Erm... I don't want to say yet because I mean it's kinda early in the relationship. I just erm..." He blushed lightly, he did kinda bring it up a bit early in the relationship. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable so he pretended to get distracted.

"You sure I can count on you for that?"

He looked at her lovingly, "Of course you can, I wouldn't let anyone harm you. Even if it meant losing my life." He kissed her cheek lovingly. "But I promise I won't purposely put my life endanger so you have to suffer. I'll stick around as long as I can for your sake." He said taking her hand and kissing it lightly.

"But you needn't worry. My life is never going to be in danger... I don't think anyone hates me that much."

He smiled, "Then if that never arises I'll just dote on you giving you everything you could ever want." He said with a mischevious smile.

"Erm... I don't want to say yet because I mean it's kinda early in the relationship. I just erm..."

Cordelia scowled, folding her arms over her chest and looking him straight in the eye. "What was it," she demanded, not bothering to ask it as a question; if she said it like a fact, it would sound scarier. She looked at him, waiting for the answer.

"Of course you can, I wouldn't let anyone harm you. Even if it meant losing my life."

She rolled her eyes, but smiled. "You shouldn't do that," she said. "Give up your life for me, I man. The sacrifice would be for naught, since I don't die easily." She offered him another smile and winked to reassure him. As he kissed her hand, her thoughts drifted back to the hoedown when he had done that. Ha, he was so lucky she loved him, otherwise he would have gotten hurt very badly.

"Then if that never arises I'll just dote on you giving you everything you could ever want."

"Aw, but then you'd spoil me!" she said. "You don't have to do that, Percy. All I'll ever really want is you... besides, material things are trivial."

She then decided to ask him something. "If I were to, um, bring my son back from the dead, what would you do or think?"

"What was it,"

He looked down, nervous. "Well um... erm... You know the.. erm..." He made a motion of putting on a ring, "I mean... in the future, I wouldn't ever want to rush our relationship unless you wanted to." He said to her nervously. He didn't want to push the relationship too fast, nor did he want to stay forever the same.

"You shouldn't do that, Give up your life for me, I mean. The sacrifice would be for naught, since I don't die easily."

"It doesn't matter... Because I love you, and you mean more to me than anything in this world. Your happiness and well being is more important than my life. Besides, I don't die easily either." He said with a smile, looking at her mischeviously.

"Aw, but then you'd spoil me! You don't have to do that, Percy. All I'll ever really want is you... besides, material things are trivial."

"Ah, but I want to. Your everything to me, and I wouldn't want you to lack anything. I want to make you happy, I want to never see you cry unless tears of happiness. But if you do cry I want to wipe away your tears and hold you tight. Because no one should ever cry alone, especially when their loved." He said taking her into his arms bringing her in closer.

"If I were to, um, bring my son back from the dead, what would you do or think?"

He was startled by the question, it was so sudden. So out of the blue, he stood there blank for a minute. Then his mind thought of the father, he remained stunned. He loved her, that didn't change. And he loved anything she loved, but if she brought her son back. Then what about her son's father. He remained silent and brought her close thinking. He rested his head against her's.

"I mean... in the future, I wouldn't ever want to rush our relationship unless you wanted to."

Cordelia's eyes widened somewhat, and she was tempted to whack him over the head for that. Her finger nails dug into her palms so as to restrain herself, and once she was calm, let out a sigh. "Hm, I see then. So it's a wedding ring." She didn't sound too pleased by that, or by the fact he was even thinking about such a thing now, or had even mentioned it before. She would have to get over it, though.

".... Besides, I don't die easily either."

"I suppose I'll believe you," she said. "I guess you having been alive for 400 years kind of proves something." She laughed, then shook her head.

"Ah, but I want to. Your everything to me, and I wouldn't want you to lack anything. I want to make you happy, I want to never see you cry unless tears of happiness. But if you do cry I want to wipe away your tears and hold you tight. Because no one should ever cry alone, especially when their loved."

The twenty-year-old smiled. She was lucky to have found someone that cared so much. "Thank you..." was all she said, especially to when he said that he would always be there to wipe away her tears.

Percy's silence, however, made a knot form in the pit of her stomach. He hadn't said anything to her question, nothing. Absolute silence... she looked up at him, trying to read his face and eyes for any sort of emotion. Getting the feeling that he was shocked, Cordelia decided to try and explain. "I'm not bringing my husband back, you know," she told him quietly, swallowing. "Why would I bring back a guy who cheated on me more than once? I only want my son back so I can have a whole heart again, and besides, he didn't deserve his fate. So don't worry, nothing's going to come between us." Hopefully that would assure him — if it didn't... she wouldn't know what else to say.
