"Hm, I see then. So it's a wedding ring."

He nodded silently, "Of course for later in the future when your ready for such a leap. But I don't want to rush it." He said taking his hands in her's, he looked into her eyes with a look of pure love that would melt any girl's heart though Cordelia could be a bit subborn if she wanted to.

"I suppose I'll believe you, I guess you having been alive for 400 years kind of proves something."

He chuckled lightly, "Yeah I guess it does, but we'll both live much longer than that." He said with a light smile squeezing her hands lightly in his. She was to beautiful to him, his heart did truly beat for her.

"Thank you..."

He said nothing tensing up he pulled away slowly, "Cordelia, you shouldn't thank me. You should know that no thanks are needed here. I'd do it out of pure love for you never wanting or expecting any thanks. Your love is all I want." He said kissing her forehead lightly.

"I'm not bringing my husband back, you know, Why would I bring back a guy who cheated on me more than once? I only want my son back so I can have a whole heart again, and besides, he didn't deserve his fate. So don't worry, nothing's going to come between us."

He pulled her closer hugging her, he kissed her on her hair lovingly. "I'm sorry that your husband was a jerk, and I can only hope that one day I can be a better husband for you then he was." He said kissing her cheek, "And as for your son, I'd try to be the best father he could have. Anyone you love I love, anyone you hate I hate. I'd love him as my own." He said pulling back looking her in the eyes. He the broke his gaze to kiss her again on the forehead. He wanted to treat her like a queen, and beautiful queen of his heart.

"Of course for later in the future when your ready for such a leap. But I don't want to rush it."

Cordelia nodded her head in understanding. "Ok," she said with a small smile. However, that look on his eyes didn't really melt her heart. It made her smile, since she was happy that he loved her, but she didn't get so overjoyed that her heart just melted.

"Yeah I guess it does, but we'll both live much longer than that."

"Yep," the woman said, looking at the lake for a while. She wondered what it would be like to be 400, or even just sixty, and look the same as she did when she was nineteen. It had been devastating for her on her birthday... hopefully now that she had Percy she could at least tolerate her 'condition'. "Hopefully life won't get boring in a hundred years." And she doubted it would. Life was anything but boring now, and she was sure that wouldn't change in the years to come.

"Cordelia, you shouldn't thank me. You should know that no thanks are needed here. I'd do it out of pure love for you never wanting or expecting any thanks. Your love is all I want."

The vampire blinked as he moved away, now looking back to him. As he spoke, she knew he was right. "Ok," she said, swallowing at what she was going to say next. "You're right." Well that was a first. She hadn't said those words in... she couldn't even remember the last time she had said that.

"I'm sorry that your husband was a jerk, and I can only hope that one day I can be a better husband for you then he was."

"And I'm sure you will be," Cordelia said, returning his hug, comforted by the fact that he had said that. He was already a lot different than her late husband... why had she even bothered to mourn him? Shaking her head at her messed up logic, she just continued her response. "I was stupid back then, so whatever. I'm just glad I have you now, Percy."

"And as for your son, I'd try to be the best father he could have. Anyone you love I love, anyone you hate I hate. I'd love him as my own."

A wide smile broke onto her face, and after he had kissed her forehead, she immediately hugged him again. "I'm glad," Cordelia said. "I was afraid you would end up hating him or the idea. But I'm happy you'll do that, Percy. I love you." She was glad she had sorted out her feelings. She loved Percy with all of her heart and never wanted to leave him, even if she wasn't really ready for marriage yet.

"Ok,"

He smiled, he was glad that she wasn't saying no right off the bat. He'd take it nice and slow with her until they were ready to move at a faster pace. But if she wasn't ready he wouldn't move faster in their relationship. He couldn't help but love the woman that was beside him.

"Yep, Hopefully life won't get boring in a hundred years."

He smiled lightly his arm bringing her closer, "It won't get dull... Even after one thousand years it'll still be interesting. And we'll still be in love, and you'll still be the one love of my life, and you'll be the most precious thing besides our children. Well... erm..." He blushed realizing he spoke a bit soon about that seeing she wasn't exactly engaged to her. But he wanted her to be the one to have his children and he wanted to dote on her and love her. He didn't want her to ever feel alone again. He brought her close nuzzling his head against her's gently. "I love you..." He whispered in her ear.

"Ok... You're right."

He smiled, he was glad she agreed with him. Even though she hardly did admit he was right. He didn't rub it in or try to be thought of as smart, for he knew it would wreck the sweetness of the moment and he wouldn't want to do that to the love of his life.

"And I'm sure you will be, I was stupid back then, so whatever. I'm just glad I have you now, Percy."

He brought her even closer, his arms lifted her placing her upon his lap. He just wanted to hold her close after 400 years of being alone and in pain. He just wanted to hold her tight and make her the happiest girl in the world. And love on her and just be all she needed and wanted.

"I'm glad, I was afraid you would end up hating him or the idea. But I'm happy you'll do that, Percy. I love you."

He smiled, the words of love were as sugar to his ears. He cuddled closer to her, he just wanted to be with her like this. He knew how much he loved her, he felt so different from that lonesome depressed 14 year old. His heart seemed to be even more in love with her every moment she talked or was just near him. He wondered how much he'd love her when they finally got married. He wondered if she'd ever get annoyed at how much he loved her.

"It won't get dull... Even after one thousand years it'll still be interesting. And we'll still be in love, and you'll still be the one love of my life, and you'll be the most precious thing besides our children. Well... erm..."

A thousand years? To be quite honest, Cordelia didn't know if she would live that long. Someone would eventually want her dead, she was sure of it. After all, being a goody-two-shoes wasn't something common for her. Not when she was a vampire and had to kill every night. And a thousand years of killing... she could barely handle doing it now.

However, when children with him were brought up, her mind moved off of that and her dark blue eyes flared with rage. "And what makes you think I want more children?" she hissed. Maybe in a while she would, but for him to talk of it now? Completely inappropriate. "Having one is going to be enough! Not to mention it's WAY too early for you to be sure you want to spend the rest of... of FOREVER with me and want kids with me!!"

Sweet moment ruined. Hooray for tempers!!

As he pulled her close and nuzzled her head, she pulled away slightly. She liked being close to him, but that had angered him and sweet little words and actions didn't usually make her better. Taking those emotions out in some way would. "I love you too," she returned in a monotone voice. "But that was completely uncalled for."

Once he put her on his lap, she had calmed herself down and she just looked at him. There was a small smile on her face, but there was no sign of apologeticness at all. Cordelia got angered very easily and she didn't exactly think she had done anything wrong.

She wrapped her arms around him, holding him close to her as well. She rested her head on his shoulder and kissed it. "I love you," she said, this time her voice not just going into automatic response, but actually showing that she did care. "I'll say sorry for yelling at you, but I won't apologize for saying what I said. Fair enough?"
