Michael blinked, William's presence in his mind a small bundle of lazy happiness. He smiled, his fingers moving unconsciously, as he tried to wrap them around the small ball, or at least what felt like a ball, that just screamed WILLIAM directly into his thoughts.

'Thank you, little one.', he whispered, out loud, deciding that for someone like him, he could use his voice, especially in the situation like this, where William already shared something very intimate with him. A power like that must've been a burden so many times, not unlike his, the only difference being, that with him, others knew that they were doing him harm, and were doing it intentionally.

'That is a very nice thing to hear.' Indeed, nobody else ever even thought something like that about him. Well, at least he thought nobody thought anything like that about him. He could be wrong, he knew, images of few people passing through his mind eye (one of the girls that used to work with him at the school library, always bringing cookies for everyone, one of his teachers, Peter, a boy he was helping with his studies before his classmates used him to reveal his wings...) but... Yeah, well, anyhow, nobody ever said it, so it was very nice thing to hear indeed.

'You feeling warm enough yet?'

<div align=center>William drew a breath, and smiled sadly at Micheal. It was a burden and he hated it, though all of a sudden he felt terribly sorry for the winged boy, the way people made him feel wasn't intentional, and everything they did to him... It was for a reason, it was because they wanted to do it. He tensed up, and scowled, his anger bubbling up all over again. "Why did they do that to you?" He asked, his voice low, he couldn't really understand it, Micheal was different, that was all. But if William thought about it, his wings weren't that strange, he thought they were beautiful. He couldn't understand how someone else wouldn't feel the same way.

"I.. I..." His hand curled into a fist and his teeth gritted, it was unusual to ever see anger displayed on William's features, he was so timid all the time that it was impossible to ever imagine him behaving in an aggressive way, and usually, he didn't. His aggression was a little more dangerous than you'd imagine, often his mind got out of hand and that caused him to get himself into trouble sometimes, but that was another story entirely, and Bill didn't want to think about. "They shouldn't have."</div>

They shouldn't have. Michael agreed, nodding his head. But they still have. he looked to the side, where his wings would be if they were out, and sighed. And there is nothing you can do about it. He ran his fingers through his hair, which was still somewhat wet from the water, letting it loose so it would dry faster, loose dark strands suddenly covering his face. He pushed it behind his ears, a dark waterfall of blackness still covering his back, and looked William in the eyes. There was something different there, something Michael didn't see before, something that was probably stirred from its sleep by his anger.

Humans are just stupid like that. he shrugged his shoulders gritting his teeth. He had never meant to trouble William with his past by letting him see it. The boy already got negative emotions from everybody else, he didn't need his on top of that. Michael tried thinking about soothing stuff, like rabits, and rainbows, but somehow, he doubted it would work.

<div align=center>"I could have hurt them." He mumbled, as if forgetting he was talking to Micheal. This side of William was strange, and dark. There was a strange sort of aura about him all of a sudden, he was staring intently into the flames of the fire, there was a dark look in his eyes, an almost vicious one. He took a breath, and closed them, there was no use, he couldn't exactly go back in time and stop it from happening, though if he could. Most didn't really realize how dangerous William actually was, it wasn't evident most of the time, he was too gentle, he didn't often dream of hurting anyone.

Humans are stupid. He answered mentally, though perhaps the ones he'd found he could stand. He pushed himself up against Micheal, and leaned on him as if to offer some kind of comfort. He was still scowling, things were running through his head, bad things. He liked Micheal too much to think about bad things happening to him, he didn't deserve bad things to happen to him, he was a good person, perhaps one of the best he'd ever know. "I could have hurt them..." He echoed again, his voice sounding a little distant this time.</div>

Michael chuckled. He was surprised by the William's actions for a moment, for he had honestly thought that the boy didn't have it in him. However, the way he looked, the way he spoke, it showed that there was, indeed something lurking within him. Still, Michael found it adorable, the way he snuggled closer to him, as if sharing his warmth would somehow help erase the painful memories of the past. Well, at least they were supposed to be painful. They didn't hurt as much now, though, nothing hurt as much these days...

Don't talk like that, William. he said, ruffling William's hair, as his other hand made small circles across his back. You wouldn't hurt a fly, little one, and we both know it. As well as you shouldn't, no matter how indeed stupid humans are.

<div align=center>William looked stern for a moment, "could too." He argued back, though Micheal was probably right, William couldn't even kill bugs letalone people. There had been an incident all that time ago, but no one had died. If William were to change someones emotions so much that they wanted to kill themselves, those emotions would merely reflect back to him, and that was dangerous. He purred softly and pushed his head into Micheal's hand, he liked being petted. He supposed it wasn't right to want to be this close to another person when he had a boyfriend, but it wasn't like that, it had never been like that.

To William, Micheal was like a big brother, he provided him with a sort of comfort you could usually only get from family members, and it was nice, Bill was glad of it. He nodded, Micheal was right, it would make him just as bad as those that had caused the pain in the first place, and Bill refused to sink to that level, he never wanted to sink to that level. He thought he knew what it was like to be excluded for being different, but he didn't mention it and merely shook the thought off.</div>

Do I need to buy you a dictionary for Christmas, William? Michael asked, laughing, the fact that he was using his voice the greatest sign of how much he trusted the boy that was in his arms. Since the first time they talked, Michael felt something for William, a need to push him, to prod him to do better, but also to protect him. Like a little brother he never had, and, somehow, he knew William felt the same.

Would is not the same as could. he looked down at the boy, a line appearing between his eyebrows. I can only imagine how your ability to enter one's mind could be used as a weapon, but I know that you never would. Or am I wrong about it? He knew that he wasn't, though, he simply asked because he could feel that perhaps there was something the boy wasn't telling him, and he wanted to see if it would come out now that they were already talking.

<div align=center>William was quiet for a little while, "I did a bad thing once." He finally mumbled, looking away from Micheal and to the ground. This wasn't something he'd talked about for a long time, it had drove his family to be scared of him, though he couldn't help it, he hadn't meant to. "A long time ago," he sighed softly, shaking his head a little. Though there was no use covering all this up, what had happened had happened, he couldn't change it. Besides, people had done far worse things, hadn't they? William didn't like to think about it. "I didn't mean to, he... He had upset me."

It had been an incident with a boy at his highschool, the boy had been bigger than him and William had been scared of him. Word had got out that he had something wrong with his head, that the doctors thought it was Schizophrenia. His classmates thought that was funny and he was ridiculed for it, ridiculed and harassed to a point where he'd mentally lashed out at someone. The boy had been a babbling mess by the time William could be stopped, and calmed down. Bill had destroyed his mind, unearthed his worse memories and manipulated his emotions to the point where it was hurting himself a lot to do it anymore. He took a moment or two to explain it to Micheal, he'd ruined the boy's life, and he still felt horrible about it.</div>

Michael closed his eyes and thought quietly for a moment, before opening his eyes again, and hugging William closer. However, never being the one to lie, from there on he spoke the truth as he saw it.

What you did... It is horrible, little one. he whispered, his voice soft, but firm, raising and falling to indicate that he was neither judging nor angry with William. However, I can see that you didn't mean to do it,, he continued, and I know that you would never do it again. He stopped there for a moment, letting his words sink in as he searched for others.

And while that in itself won't help bring that boy back to normal, it does mean something. He ruffled William's hair affectionately, for even though he was honest, he would never be cruel. So you'll just have to carry that with you and go on. It would never change, so there is no point feeling guilty about it now. He tilted his head to the right, thinking. Well, not too guilty at least. he corrected himself and his easy going attitude that wasn't really socially acceptable sometimes.

So try not worry about it, yeah?

<div align=center>William smiled, though it was a genuine smile, and he felt strange all of a sudden. Micheal was right, it had happened, there was no way he could change it, there was no way he could restore that boy's life to him so what was the point in fretting over it? The only thing that would stick with him forever is the look on the child's face as William essentially violated him, that was what haunted him the most, that had been a look of pure fear, something he'd never seen on anyone's face since then. He shook his head and concentrated on what Micheal was saying.

He sighed, and nodded. "Thank you," he murmured, his brow furrowing ever so slightly, Micheal had reasoned with the side of William's head that told him he was a horrible person, he had done a terrible thing, but it had been an accident, he hadn't done it on purpose he could never do anything like that on purpose. He closed his eyes, and dropped his head to Micheal's shoulder, he was bored of feeling sad, or worried all the time. It wasn't a nice feeling, though Micheal made it feel a little better, he was so calm that William just... He liked it a lot. "You're right."</div>
