Sighing with relief, he took off after her. At an easy pace he quickly caught up to her. As long as I kep occupied it will be fine. He smiled nervously at her again and asked, 'So, how long shold we run for?'

Looking down and shaking his head, he takes off in a jog, hair bouncing with his steps. He keeps a little distance behinnd the two to chat with the fire spirit in low tones.

Nicole looked at Stephen. "As long as it takes. When you run, there really is no set time. You run until it feels like whatever you're running from is far behind you." She answered softly.

He smiled at her, but it dropped from his face as he looked away. But the problem isn't what I'm running from, it's what I'm running through. I should be in teh forest while I'm using so much energy. Lately it's been worse. He bit his lip, but kept going.
After a few minutes he had calmed a bit. It pleased him how he could run fast for a long time with ease.

"Eh..." Giving up out of sheer laziness, Aike stops jogging and saunters along with the fire spirit, still absorbed in his conversation.

Kaya looks worriedly at Stephen. He seems almost in fear of something out here. Aikanaro isn't much better, he's dropped far behind. "Come on, Aike, catch up to us!" She called.

"Oh please... " he mumbles, then speaks up "I'm trying to enjoy a simple conversation made difficult by a stubborn entity. Why don't you stop running and enjoy a simple conversation with an apathetic loser?" He smirked at the last remark.

To this she did stop. "I would...if there were an apathetic loser to be found." She responded pertly. "Would you be content if I enjoyed a simple conversation with you instead?" Slowly she walked back along the path towards him. "So what is it that you have against running?" She asked softly. "It's more mental than physical, so don't even try to plead 'out of shape.' "

Stephen noticed that the others had stopped. They were deep in the forest nw, and his heart began beating fast.
He made his way back to them and said, 'Hey, what's the hold up?'

Glancing around, it was obvious that was the excuse he was going to use. Sighing, he tries explaining. "I just don't run.... To me, it seems like people run to get their minds of off things, as if actually running from something in their heads. I, personally, like confronting brain problems. Well... usually." He clears his throat evasivly. "We all have our demons. I just think people need to confront them more often, even if it is dangerous. What's the point in living if you're going to run from what life wants to challenge you with? It's like using the Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right in the old videogames." He grins. "Sorry, I got carried away with talking that time. Won't happen again, trust me."
