A great place to run

Shaking his head, Aike snaps back to reality. The flames around him disapear, the spirits go back to their normal size, and the smaller of the two disapears with a "Gulp!"

Clearing his throat, Aike rubs his face. "Er... sorry about that... I told you I get carried away...."

The fire spirit mutters something that sounds like Lucky...

Sighing, he shrugs his shoudlers and returns to his lazy, apathetic appearance. His hair falls into place, if a little more shaggy than usual.

Stephen stood where he'd been the entire time. Scratching his arm, he said, 'So...uh, should we start the run. Cause if we're not gonna, I should probably go back inside...'

Aike sighs and looks down to the side, obviously upset. "I should go back," he says simply. Though, pocketting his hands, he stays momentarily as if struggling with himself.

Nicole frowned. "No one's going back! Not you, Stephen, or you, Aikanaro. We came out here to run and that's what we're going to do." She said firmly. "....please don't go back" She added softly. Few had even talked to her since her arrival and of those that had, precious few still did. "I promise, I won't be in any more power plays while we're here." She vowed. "Not even if the forest itself burns around me."

Sighing softly, Aike heard the cry in the calm tones. "Alright... sure.... I'm sure jogging won't kill me. Besides, I can control my powers fine, it's just myself that I have a hard time with.

It's true. Sometimes he's good enough to make me proud. Well... good enough for a human on a rampage to destroy.

She smiled. "Thank you, Aikanaro." she replied gratefully, laughing inside at what the spirit said. She then turned to Stephen. "Will you atay as well? I know I'm not the easiest person to get along with, but I think I deserve a chance, don't you?"

He sctratched his arm, and then said. 'Sure, ok, I'll stay.' He gave a weak smile, then turned to teh left. 'So should we run along that path. 'Or did you have somewhere else in mind?'

She looked around confused. "What path?" If there was a defined path, she opted for that one, but mostly all she saw was underbrush. "You know, we could just have a race..." She proposed.

Scrunching his face in disaproval, Aike exclaims, "Now a race WOULD kill me. I'll jog, for your sake, but thats as far as I'll go."

She sighed. "All right, all right." She remarked in defeat. "Jog it is." She then turned and began jogging at a slow, steady pace through the woods. As she did so she could hear the whispers of the trees, relaying various stories to her as she ran. Stories of hibernating animals and migrating birds.
