"Thank you,"

He smiled, "No problem, and if I ever do something that bothers you feel free to tell. Though leaving you alone I might not do if you say that." He said giving her jokingly shifty eyes.

"Alright,"

He noticed the blush, he couldn't help but smile at how cute she looked when she blushed. So Kawaii... He thought in his mind, he loved using the word kawaii to describe something extremely cute. It meant cute in Japanese he knew a lot of each language because of living 400 years. But he couldn't help but enjoy certain words moreso like kawaii and nakama. He hoped to make Cordelia at least his Nakama, meaning a friend or companion. They didn't have to be girlfriend and boyfriend, he would be happy with just a friend.

"Alright, that sounds good to me, But, to be honest, I won't be hanging out with the single girls. They get on my nerves just as much as the couples do, but just a little less. Ah, well... nothing I can do about that, really."

"How about if you have no fun you and Amelia can go on a male beating spree?" He said with a chuckle to Cordelia, he really felt she was a wonderful lady. He wished he was older looking so she'd think of him more seriously. He truly hated being stuck in the 14 year old body that always had that boyish grin.

"Oh, good, I guess taking care of it myself is better than having someone else do it. And your cabin probably isn't as far away as the school is, which is even better."

"Yes it is, it's a short distance for a vampire seeing the super speed and all. But if you want I can escort you on the way back, but I think Amelia will have caught up by then and most likely she'll want to talk to you so in that case I should let you two girls talk alone." He said to Cordelia knowing how Amelia was, he knew a lot about people. Seeing he often got bored he observed how people acted how couples, friends and families acted. He knew the troubles, cheating, death, fights, mood swings, arguements, but he also knew that people who were true friends or lovers made up.

He figured Amelia would think it through and realize this was her one shot at a friend.

"No problem, and if I ever do something that bothers you feel free to tell. Though leaving you alone I might not do if you say that."

"Ha, don't worry, I'll tell you. I'd tell you even if you didn't want me to," Cordelia said. She couldn't help it; when something was annoying her, she had to speak up about it, almost no matter what the situation was. She shook her head with a small smile when he mentioned leaving her alone. "Don't worry. You don't annoy me that much. I wouldn't tell you to leave me alone," she told him, almost laughing at his shifty eyes, but refraining from doing so.

She sighed on the inside when she saw him smile when she blushed. The woman turned her face away from him for a moment, almost blushing more, but able to stop herself from doing so this time. "Must you smile at me when I blush?" she asked quietly, still not looking at him. He had already said that she looked cute when she blushed, but that didn't mean he always had to smile at her because of it.

"How about if you have no fun you and Amelia can go on a male beating spree?"

The widow laughed, but shook her head. "It's a good idea, but I couldn't," she told him. "Not on Valentine's Day, of all days. Maybe the next day or something, but yeah..." Cordelia sighed. It just didn't seem right to her to beat up someone that someone else may have loved on Valentine's Day. Any other day was fine... just not the fourteenth. Plus, she would probably be too upset to even want to beat someone up; that was, if she didn't enjoy the hoedown. If she did have fun at the hoedown, though, then there would obviously be no point in her beating someone up.

"Yes it is, it's a short distance for a vampire seeing the super speed and all. But if you want I can escort you on the way back, but I think Amelia will have caught up by then and most likely she'll want to talk to you so in that case I should let you two girls talk alone."

Somewhat to her surprise, Cordelia nodded in agreement to that. "Alright. If, for some reason, Amelia hasn't caught up to us be then, you can escort me back," she told him. Maybe it would make him happy, maybe he wouldn't care, but the twenty-year-old was sure he would be glad to hear her say that. "And if she's caught up by then, then I'll just see you some other time." She shrugged her shoulders, just to show that she slightly didn't care.

"Ha, don't worry, I'll tell you. I'd tell you even if you didn't want me to, Don't worry. You don't annoy me that much. I wouldn't tell you to leave me alone,"

He smiled, "Good, I wouldn't want to offend you and I wouldn't want to leave you." He didn't realize how much he had just said. He did mean what he said but he didn't realize how big what he said was.

"Must you smile at me when I blush?"

"I'm sorry, it's just soo hard not too your too kawaii when you blush." He said then his hit himself on the head. "I did it again, I'm sorry it's so hard not to call you cute." He said with a sigh, she did look so cute when she blushed. It made him just want to smile, she looked so adorable and cute even though she could be so violent.

"It's a good idea, but I couldn't, Not on Valentine's Day, of all days. Maybe the next day or something, but yeah..."

He nodded in understanding, he wondered if she'd ever find her other half and be happy again. He wanted so much to talk to her and try to help her get over her painful past but knew she'd look at him as a young boy and not worth talking about such a thing like that to.

"Alright. If, for some reason, Amelia hasn't caught up to us be then, you can escort me back, And if she's caught up by then, then I'll just see you some other time."

He smiled she seemed to be warming up to him, unless it was his imagination. "Well here it is." He said motioning to a small homey looking cabin. It was something that looked surprisingly homey and sweet. It even had a small garden, which was even more odd then the fact that he had a cabin. It looked quite cute even though he looked so young and most people who looked young would've lived in some shack like place. And the cabin looked oddly like a home.

"Good, I wouldn't want to offend you and I wouldn't want to leave you."

Cordelia blinked. Don't blush, woman!! DON'T BLUSH!!! she screamed in her mind. He wouldn't want to leave her? Wow... again, she kind of felt flattered. Why wasn't she beating him up by now, though? Had this been any other male, they would have been dead by now. Alright. It's only because he'd like it if I beat him up... the woman convinced herself. I don't like him, not even as a friend. I can't. Ok, maybe as a friend... and that's it!

"I see," was all the woman mumbled, not wanting to say anything more. It was obvious that she didn't really know she should have said in the first place, and she wondered if Percy had actually just heard what he had said.

"I'm sorry, it's just soo hard not too your too kawaii when you blush."

The woman chuckled. "You sneaky little vampire. Calling me cute in another language, hm?" she shook her head. Upon hearing him say it was hard not to call her cute, she merely sighed, rubbing her forehead in frustration. "Whatever. If it's that difficult for you to not call me cute or beautiful or anything, I suppose it's ok..." It had been almost painful for her to say that, but it didn't matter, she supposed. They were just words, after all... right?

"Well here it is."

Seeing that cabin made Cordelia stop in her tracks. She looked up at it, quite amazed. It actually seemed quite homey, and in an organized fashion. The garden made her smile. She missed homes like these, and living in them, seeing as how she lived in a dorm room at the school now. Oh, well, though. Maybe one day she would buy another house. "It looks nice," she said. "You must do a good job of keeping the place from becoming a dump. Anyway, am I going to need a tour of this place to find my way around or will I survive just going in there on my own?" she asked.

"You sneaky little vampire. Calling me cute in another language, hm?"

A boyish grin cover his face, sneaky he was. And he kinda was little.... wait... little again. His face dulled, she still thought of him as a little vampire and not a vampire. He hated the word little it made him feel so unmasculine and fierce. It made him feel like a little child or a little fuzzy puppy where they just keep calling the thing little.

"Whatever. If it's that difficult for you to not call me cute or beautiful or anything, I suppose it's ok..."

"No I kinda understand, I'll try harder honest." He did infact understand, the whole little thing really got to him. He knew he wasn't going to be called big anytime soon, this annoyed him. But he decided he'd hide it which he did a pretty good job at except for the tiny furrow in his brow.

"It looks nice, You must do a good job of keeping the place from becoming a dump. Anyway, am I going to need a tour of this place to find my way around or will I survive just going in there on my own?"

"I'll guide you around and then wait outside, it's not too big you'll most likely need to know where a few things are so I should give you a tour." He opened the door for her holding it, first look inside of the house you wouldn't have thought there'd be anything pretty since a guy lived there alone. But there was, a small vase with some pink lillies it was winter but he hated to feel alone. He often pretended that his mother and father were still alive so that he didn't feel completely engulfed in darkness.

There was a picture on a coffee table of his parents it was painted at their wedding, he often looked at it because his mother was quite beautiful. He often set the standards for any woman by her own beauty. But beauty was more than on the outside but the inside, Percy knew that through his mother. The inside of the house looked just as homey as the outside. He could clean and tiddy up fast because of being a vampire so it wasn't like he spent all day doing this stuff. Everything in the house was clean, no one would've thought a man lived here alone. There was a extensive library of books on a book shelf then there was a another book shelf of personal experiences through his 400 years, none of which was very personal. It was more like who killed who what wars and those things.

He entered in the house after her, "This is the living room, the kitchen is enjoined to it." He was a odd person, at first look one would think that he had a shack if he had a house. And here the house looked so different than what one would've thought.

Cordelia sighed when he didn't respond to her 'sneaky little vampire comment. "Oh, come on," she said. "I meant absolutely nothing at all by the 'little' part. I would have called anyone little had they just been in your position. I promise I was only joking around." Joking around? Wow. That was something the widow rarely did, unless of course sarcasm could count as joking around. But, then again, she used to do such things with friends, and she did consider Percy to be a friend. "Would you feel better if I rephrased that comment?"

"No I kinda understand, I'll try harder honest."

"Whatever you say..." the woman said with a sigh. She doubted that he could. If he hadn't been able to cut down on giving her compliments by now, then she didn't think he ever would. "But you don't have to if you don't want to."

"I'll guide you around and then wait outside, it's not too big you'll most likely need to know where a few things are so I should give you a tour."

The twenty-year-old nodded. "Alright," she said as she walked inside, smiling when he held the door open for her. She looked at the lilies, really quite shocked. She didn't think a male could live alone in a place that was so beautiful, and just so homey. Either he was a neat freak, seeing as how everything was clean and organized, or he was really lonely and pretended other people were there. She was leaning toward lonely, seeing as how he was four hundred years old and had never had someone to love. She didn't think it would be a great idea to bring it up, though.

Cordelia noticed the painting as well, and wondered who the people were, but wasn't sure if it would be a great idea to ask. However, the curiosity showed on her face, even though she had tried her hardest not to let it show. She didn't want to upset him in any way, after all.

"This is the living room, the kitchen is enjoined to it."

She looked back at him and nodded. "Alright," she said, glancing into the kitchen. Oh, she really missed having a home of her own, and it showed slightly, but she had been able to basically keep it hidden. "Well, like I said before, you really do have a nice house."

"Oh, come on, I meant absolutely nothing at all by the 'little' part. I would have called anyone little had they just been in your position. I promise I was only joking around."

"Oh... sorry about that, just little isn't the nicest way to feel or be addressed. I kinda hoped that you'd see me a bit bigger than my looks." He said with a light sigh, he knew she didn't mean to hurt him. But the thought of just being all little in her eyes made him feel so little.

"Would you feel better if I rephrased that comment?"

"Nah, it's okay you didn't mean to be mean. Though I am sneaky.... and the little part could be considered true, and I am a vampire. But it stinks to be little. I mean your younger than me and your taller then me, it kinda stinks majorly to have to feel so small. What's worse is to have to put up with younger males who are so obsessed with their height." He said with a sigh. "If I could I'd shorten them and make them stay short forever. Sadly it seems to be impossible to do so." He said with a light sigh.

"Whatever you say... But you don't have to if you don't want to."

"I will try harder because I don't want it to bother you. I know how my height and looks bother me. Though your comments are more positive then mine but still I'll try harder to not say them. But I can't refrain from a small smile." He said with a small smile on his face.

"Alright,"

He saw her rather shocked expression about the neatness and all. And he chuckled, her expression wasn't too out there but he noticed it. "It's rather shocking no? My mother was a neat freak, she would've hated if I left a mess and she believed strongly in men having manners. So in her memory I keep a nice clean house, though it does seem rather unmanly but she was strict about being clean she could make the messiest person turn into the cleanest she could scare anyone with that broom of her's." He said with a chuckle remembering how she once chased a man out of her house hitting him with a broom for tracking in dirt.

He saw her curiousity about the picture, "That's my parents on their wedding day." The man was slightly shorter than the woman, it was odd that it was so. "My dad was shorter when they first married, oddly after marrying he had a groweth spurt." He said with a chuckle.

"Alright, Well, like I said before, you really do have a nice house."

He chuckled opening a small door which lead to the small storage room it was all neatly stacked each thing labeled. "This is the storage room, it's nothing much to see but it has it's purpose." He walked across the floor back into the living room and to another door, he opened it revealing a bedroom. It was homey it even had curtains, his mother was a strong believer in curtains. It looked so homey the bed had a oddly pretty comforter. "Before I left my hometown I took some of my parent's belongings. I was lucky to be able to keep a few to remember them by." He explained.

He then led her to a small room off of the bedroom, "This is the bathroom," he opened the cabinet to reveal it was orderly. "Feel free to use whatever you need to clean your wound or anything. I'll wait outside so you can have the house to yourself so there's no odd moments." He said to her being the perfect gentleman, not wanting to intrude or accidently create a embarassing moment. He turned to leave, "If you need anything I'll be outside at the front door." He said then headed outside to wait.

"Oh... sorry about that, just little isn't the nicest way to feel or be addressed. I kinda hoped that you'd see me a bit bigger than my looks."

"I do see you bigger than your looks..." Cordelia said. "Just because I said little meant nothing, just like I said. I would have called another elder I know the same thing, and she's older than you." Of course, she was talking about Rayana, the vampire she despised. She had only brought her up to make a point to Percy, though.

"... I mean your younger than me and your taller then me, it kinda stinks majorly to have to feel so small...."

A look of understanding came to her face. "Well, I'm kind of taller than most girls, so don't feel bad...?" she offered. She didn't know if that would help, or if that would make him feel even worse. It was true, though; she was five feet, eleven inches, and most females were only around five feet, five inches. "And, just like you would make everyone else small if you could, I'd make you tall if I could. Seeing as how your height seems to upset you."

"..... But I can't refrain from a small smile."

The woman laughed. "Fine. You can smile if it'll please you, as long as you don't say anything out loud," she told him with a smile.

"It's rather shocking no? My mother was a neat freak, she would've hated if I left a mess and she believed strongly in men having manners. So in her memory I keep a nice clean house...."

She smiled. That was quite a nice thought. "Who cares if it's unmanly? Keeping a neat house is easier than keeping a messy one," she commented. When he mentioned his mother chasing away people with a broom, she just laughed. It sounded like he had good parents... good parents that didn't lie or abandon a younger sibling or —

She stopped before she started thinking about her own mother and father.

"My dad was shorter when they first married, oddly after marrying he had a groweth spurt."

Cordelia joined him in chuckling. "Heh. How old were they when they got married?" she asked. She was tempted to tell Percy that he might go through a growth spurt one day, but didn't do so, mostly because it probably wouldn't happen.

As he showed her around the house, she merely nodded at everything, not really saying much about anything. As he mentioned being able to have taken some of his parents belongings, she nodded. "Yeah, that's good," she said.

"Feel free to use whatever you need to clean your wound or anything. I'll wait outside so you can have the house to yourself so there's no odd moments."

Cordelia nodded. "Alright. Thanks, Percy," she said. She walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind her, taking off her sweatshirt so she wouldn't have to deal with baggy clothing. Wincing from examining her wound, the woman opened the cabinet, beginning to look through everything that was there to look for what she would need. Bandages and a washcloth would do, maybe a disinfectant or something. She would live without the third thing, though, seeing as how she couldn't die if she did get an infection. And she could just get the bullet out with her fingers, so she wouldn't need anything for that.

"I do see you bigger than your looks... Just because I said little meant nothing, just like I said. I would have called another elder I know the same thing, and she's older than you."

He looked at her, "Um... you don't want to talk to certain older vampires rudely. They can be evil, some like to suck vampire blood. It's just weird but I might be careful around some elder vampires. They kinda are a little loopy, especially one I just recently met..." He said thinking about the older rather cruel vampire.

"Well, I'm kind of taller than most girls, so don't feel bad...? And, just like you would make everyone else small if you could, I'd make you tall if I could. Seeing as how your height seems to upset you."

He smiled, "I don't mind your height, I just mind the fact that I'm too short. A woman is still beautiful if she's short, tall, plump, stick like, but the problem is if she's not kind spirited deep inside. Your very beautiful and deep inside your very kind. Just kinda hard for me to be all sweet and romantic since I'm soo short." He said with a sigh. "I wish they had a magical pill to make one grow older by about 5 years... then I'd at least look decent."

"Fine. You can smile if it'll please you, as long as you don't say anything out loud,"

"Yes ma'am, your wish is my command." He said with a little bow, he was the type of person that once you got to know them they grew on you. He definately could be very sweet and gentlemanly even if he could be annoying and prying.

"Who cares if it's unmanly? Keeping a neat house is easier than keeping a messy one,"

He chuckled, "Not all the time, my mother was a neat freak she would comb the house looking for the tiniest flaw. She used to clean in a palace so she wanted her home to be as beautiful as possible. But if you respected that and cleaned up the slightest mess you'd be okay." He said with a light chuckle.

"Heh. How old were they when they got married?"

"My dad was 18 my mom 17 it was kinda funny that mom was taller when she was younger, but they loved eachother. They had no reason to die the way they did." He said thinking out loud. Remembering their bodies sprawled on the ground dead slaughtered in a unsightly fashion. He wished he could've killed the germ of a vampire who did that to them. But he was dead already.

"Yeah, that's good,"

He nodded in agreement, he wondered if she had good parents. He did have some bad memories of his parents but nothing too bad. They were nice people, sometimes a bit broke and sometimes fought. But in the end they were happy people.

"Alright. Thanks, Percy,"

He smiled, "No problem." He then went outside and waited, the inside of the cabinet was organized the disinfectant and bandages were easily found. In the second part there was washclothes and towels, the third there was tweesers she could use instead of her hands to remove the bullet.

He waited outside looking at the forest, he soon saw Amelia walking along. He was usually right about those kind of things, just by the look on her face he could tell she was here to apoligize to Cordelia.

"Um... you don't want to talk to certain older vampires rudely. They can be evil, some like to suck vampire blood...."

Cordelia rolled her eyes. She could care less about that. Older vampires were vampires all the same, and she didn't really like respecting her elders. They were all the same, none of them were anymore special than the younger vampires, whether they thought so or not.

"I wish they had a magical pill to make one grow older by about 5 years... then I'd at least look decent."

Well, maybe one day, someone would find a pill like that. She nodded, and when he mentioned her being sweet and kind deep down, shrugged her shoulders. She supposed that she was... but it was way deep down. It wasn't hard for her to be kind to those she loved, even though she did have a habit of saying the wrong thing at times.

"Yes ma'am, your wish is my command."

Well, good, maybe now that she would at least allow him to smile he would stop using words to compliment her. She shook her head with a smile upon seeing him bow, finding it a tiny bit amusing.

".... They had no reason to die the way they did."

"My apologies," was all that Cordelia said. She didn't know what else she could say, so she figured that apologizing was the best thing, even though she hated it when people said they were sorry for her own losses. A bit hypocritical, but... oh, well. Cordelia could be a hypocrite at times.

The woman finally found what she needed in the cabinet, and grabbed the washcloth first, wetting it with water from the sink and beginning to clean out her wound. It hurt, and she bit the inside of her lip to keep herself from wincing. "Note to self... never get shot again..." she said quietly, fighting the urge to kick something.

She then noticed the tweezers, and deciding that she didn't want anymore metal in her, just used her fingers to get the bullet out. This really hurt, but she was able to get the bullet out with her fingers alone. Of course, her hand was all bloody now, but oh, well. She wiped her hand and the wound again, then started searching for the bandages.

Upon finding a disinfectant, she decided to use it. She put a little bit on her bandages and but the bandages on, sighing in relief when that was done. She picked up her sweatshirt and exited the bathroom, still biting her lip. Alright, this was seriously painful.

She finally made it outside, and put her sweatshirt back on with some minor difficulty. "Done," she said. "And thanks again, Percy." She had noticed Amelia coming, but the other female was too far away for her to say anything to.
