Garry settled in quite contentedly on Camille's shoulder, enjoying his feathers being stroked. Listening to Cam talk, Garry nodded, or bobbed, his little head.

"Antiques from France, Spain, Germany..." Garry started as he turned his head a little as they walked through the shop, "Viet-man," he said hesitantly, the country strange on his beak since he had never said the word before out loud, "Japan. Antiques from many many places, Cam..." Garry said fluffing his feathers a bid.

Garry was quite smart, he told Cam things about the antiques he hadn't known or figured out himself. It was surprising, actually. Cam often found himself surprised by how intelligent animals could be.
"Oh wow, that's some variety."
Cam said with genuine surprise and awe and smiled an Garry. scratching him under his beak a bit.
"Did Monday tell you these things or did you just listen very closely?"
As Cam asked that he checked out another lamp, probably one from Japan or other part of Eastern Asia. The traditional artwork on it was magnificent.

"Monday likes to share," Garry chirped as he thought about Monday and how he had learned what he knew. "He tells Garry things," the bird said as he stretched a little on his shoulder and flapped his wings.

"Garry likes to learn new things too," he said to Cam as he flew off the young man and landed next to a small jewelry box. "Queen of France, 1852," he parroted, "Gold leaf and mother of pearl," he added knowledgeably.

Monday was most probably aware of his parrot's intelligence, it wasn't strange on this island to have hyper-intelligent animals. Hopefully he wasn't breaking any laws, however, and Garry wasn't classified as sentient. Cam often was confused where the line was drawn.
But for now he just enjoyed chatting with this cute parrot, and listened to him talk about his owner and the merchandise.

"Oh, really?"
Cam said with interest and looked at the decorative jewelry box Garry had shown him. It wasn't really his style, bordered on tacky, but it was gorgeous and the nacre reminded him of Kal. Naturally he wasn't going to buy Kal a jewelry box, that really wasn't his style, but everything that had to do with sea reminded Cam of Kal.
Cam wanted to ask what styles and art directions it was inspired by, Cam wasn't yet that good at discerning things like that, but he doubted Garry knew that much.
"Hmmm, say Garry, do you know anything else that has seashells or other sea-themed merchandise? I'd really like to see it."

Garry cocked his head to the side thoughtfully and did a little flappy flap with his wings as he considered something. Then he flew off again and around the shop for a minute until he came upon the items that he was looking for a teal seashell shaped upholstered chair and with a seashell themed tiffany lamp beside it, and across from it was a pair of pink upholstered chairs in a velveteen material with two pink lamps on a table black marble seashell themed sideboard.

Monday had staged a little art deco section with furniture that was sort of seashell themed as was popular in that era.

"Over here, Cam," Garry hopped up and down excitedly, flying a bit as he did so, calling the young man over to see what he had found.

Camille followed along with Garry, watchinb as the parrot flew around the shop probably looking for something specific he had in mind. And finally Garry found it, and Camille walked over to him and some very nice sea-themed decor. Cam gasped a bit at the tiffany lamp, his mother eould adore it. It would look great in their parlor.
"These are gorgeous, Garry! Thank you for your help."
Camille smiled and went to give Garry some scratches.

Cam loved the lamp the longer he looked at it and nodded once firmly. His mother was going to receive an early Valentines day present.
"I think I just found something one of a kind thanks to you, Garry. You made my mother very happy."
Cam chuckled.

Monday had been in the back and had not heard Camille come into the shop, and so it wasn't until a good while later he came out and heard Garry's familiar jabbering along with another voice, a male voice.

Curious about what was happening, the witch wandered through the shop in direction of Garry's excited chirping and the young man's voice. Finally, he came to stand before the sea themed area of the antiques shop.

"I see you have met, Garry," Monday stated with a curious glance at his bird, wondering what mischief he had gotten up to now.

Cam didn't see or hear Monday approach, he was too distracted with the decor and Garry, and when the man spoke Cam spun to look at him, slightly startled.
"Oh? Oh! Yes! Garry is wonderful, he was so helpful. I found exactly what I needed thanks to him."
Cam smiled happily and stroked Garry one more time.
"Are you Monday then? You have a lovely shop. And a very smart parrot. Oh, and I would like to purchase this lamp."
Cam went straight to the point, and gestured to the sea themed lamp he had just been checking out.

"Yes, I am Monday," he said to Cam, somewhat surprised as he glanced for a moment at Garry and noted the rather self-satisfied look about them. Monday had the very odd feeling that Garry had somehow told the customer about him.

"I am glad you found what you were looking for, I hope Garry didn't trouble you too much," he added taking the lamp and nodding at the bird as he held out his hand to him to which Garry flew almost immediately.

"Was there anything else you wanted to look at?" Monday inquired politely as Garry walked up his arm to his shoulder, and to Monday's embarrassment, his head. "You know, my head is not a good place to be," he said resigned, glancing upwards as he kept his head still, not wanting the bird to claw him or fall.

"Garry be good," the bird piped up happily as he hunkered down on Monday's head and looked at Camille.

Monday's surprise was evident, especially with Cam's aura sight, and he chuckled a bit. He should keep the fact that he could understand Garry to himself for a bit longer, see how Monday would react. Garry did know how to talk, maybe Monday would think he's parrot just spoke everything Cam now knew.
"Wonderful to meet you, I am Camille."
Cam introduced himself, and offered his hand with a friendly smile. Since he had a feeling he'd come here again Cam thought introductions were in order.

"Trouble? Oh, nonsense. He was very helpful, he showed me where I could find sea themed decor. And he told me about that lovely jewelery box. Queen of France, 1852? With gold leaf and mother of pearl."
Cam explained, all the while with a sunny smile. He directly quoted Garry, and subtly winked at the bird as he flew on his owner's hand.
"This lamp is actually for my mother, I'm sure she would've adored the box as well but I'm unfortunately on a budget."
Cam explained with a small laugh.

Cam couldn't help but chuckle and laugh, as Garry walked up on Monday's shoulder and further on his head. It looked simply adorable, and Cam almost forgot to answer Monday's question.
"Oh, not this time. But to see Garry and all this great merchandise again I'll se sure to stop by another time."
Cam said with a firm nod, meaning his words.
"You know, he makes a very good shop assistant. I wouldn't have entered if he hadn't sat in the window. Maybe you'll make even more sales with him on your head all the time."
Cam joked, and let out a light-hearted laugh, smiling first at Monday and then up at Garry.
