Was she his girlfriend? He had stolen a kiss while they were stuck in that mansion together. Though one kiss doesnt necessarily mean they were a couple. He had managed to ask her on a date.

So here they were, a living manifestation of Death, and a demigoddess, walking through the city. Their destination a resturaunt/dance club.

John pulled at the collar of the white button-up shirt he wore, loosening it slightly. He looked to his left and smiled at Summer, "you look beautiful."

Had her parents been here, she probably would have had been scolded by now. Well, her adoptive parents anyway. Summer had yet to meet Apollo or Pluto so she was not entirely sure how they would react to this situation. Her adoptive parents were the type to be very concerned when their daughter started dating, especially since the two did not know each other very long.

Summer sighed as she approached, wondering how different things would feel if she thought everyone here was human. Or that the guy she was about to go out on a date with was not the Horseman of the Apocalypse - Death Edition.

Summer shifted awkwardly in her attire, feeling so weird to be wearing her dance attire outside of the group from back home. The young woman looked up at the male and had quite the blush on her cheeks, shaking her head at him. "You're still a dork."

He chuckled a bit, "oh I very much am a dork," he said joking a bit. He enjoyed being around her, it felt like a breath of fresh air, like everything that happened in the past didn't matter.

"Thanks for coming," he said sincerely, "I found the place the other day abd thouht you like it," he knew she was nervous, hell he was a bit nervous, he wanted to make sure she enjoyed herself.

They cane to the place and opened the door letting her in, inside was a nice restaurant with a calm atmosphere, in the center their was a dance floor eith the music alternating every so often.

A seater appeared abd took them to a table. Once seated he looked to Summer and smiled, "we can go ahead and dance if you want, or we can eat first." He wanted to make sure she was comfortable, no pressure either way.

"Acceptance is the first step towards reform." Summer told him, before beginning to chuckle at her own joke. She was rather honest but simultaneously sarcastic with her words. The young woman was definitely a personality, though she was no match for some of the other tenants of the island of Manta Carlos. If anything, she would be considered mild mannered.

"Sweet. Hopefully it will be as good as you say it is. I don't think I ever would have found it had it not been for you." She was so busy trying to get her head back on straight in a place where heads could literally detach that she had not had much time to explore. But Summer would not let that stop her, at some point. All she had left to do to officially be settled is to apply for school.

The place made her look around, her eyes flickering over it all in an attempt to fully get the feeleing of this new place. A place she hoped she might be able to visit often, or at least visit once a month or so. Dancing had been a large part of her free time back home so not having it would be... weird.

"Either way words for me, honestly." Summer grinned, her attention still on looking around at the whole building. It was amazing to see, honestly. The group back home really only practiced in the gym and on stage back at the school she attended. Going to an actual business was new.

He chuckled along with her, he was ok with her jabs, it was refreshing, "dork or not I did did get a great girl to go out with me."

John smiled, she seemed a bit more at ease, at the very least she seemed to like the club, "to think I found it by accident while I was wandering the city," he had known it was a good place to take her.

"You have a nice smile," he told her as she grinned, it was nice, a bit contagious. As they spoke the music shifted into a medium speed song, John rose from his seat and offered her his hand, "you're probably going to put me to shame, but wanna dance?"

"Still a flirt as ever." Snickered the oracle. She appreciated that he still tried to impress her even though she had already agreed to go out on a date with him. It was cute, and honestly kind of endearing. Sometimes when she was younger, she wondered why people still tried to impress each other despite being in a relationship already. There were a lot of things she questioned about relationships that she wondered if she would understand here.

Summer's face flushed a light pink at his comment about her smile, shaking her head at him. But when he offered to dance with her, she laughed at his comment about possible differing skill levels. "Well. If you're going to do some legitimate modern dancing, then you are sure to be better than I. I only ever learned swing and neo-swing from dance videos on Youtube."

Taking his hand, she stood up and smoothed down her skirt. Her jacket was placed back on her chair along with her scarf, giving him a grin. "Either way, I'm sure you're absolutely fantastic at dancing. Show me what'cha got."

He smiled and cuckled, "believe it nor not, but I don't flirt all that much," he would compliment a pretty girl, but he only really flirted with girls he really liked, "I meant everything I said," his calm voice and smile showed his honesty.

He started to lead her to the dance floor, "well, most of the dances I was taught were for really formal events," he grinned as the reached the floor, "mostly events where the families of military officers gathered," he chuckled a bit, "I was an army brat."

He led her into a dance, it was a simple one, but fun with a good amound lf energy in it, "you're really good," he told her honestly, he was really enjoying himself.

Summer rose a brow to his claim on not flirting, having only known her experience with him so far. But she supposed as time would go on, she would have a chance to see him beyond the decent amount flirting he offered. As she thought briefly more about it, she thought it appropriate that he would flirt with her given they were out on a date. Now was as good of a time as any.

"I see." She chuckled at his explanation of his knowledge of dancing, "'An Army Brat', huh? Well, that explains quite a bit of your manners. Not that I am complaining, though." Summer mused at him. She found it entertaining how he called himself such a title, but everyone had a right to make fun of their own aspects of themselves.

Summer let the music take control as they danced, feeling her feet dance almost instinctively to match the rhythm. She laughed at his compliment, giving a small smile towards him. "Thank you. You're not too bad yourself." Once and a while, Summer would twirl. Her shoes clicked against the floor, her skirt twirling out into a circle around her as she danced, swishing in time with her movements as she became caught up in the music.

He nodded and chuckled, "my dad was a general in the US Army, always pushed me to do my best even with dancing," he missed his parents, but he was trying to live his life. He smiled, "well I'm out with a beautiful girl, so I think I have a good reason to keep my manners up."

He allowed the music to guide his movements, while cordinating with Summer, "oh I'm just ok." He felt energized during this dance, maybe because this was a date, not one of those social events, "I enjoy dancing though, especially now that I have a good partner," he gave her another smile.

The song came to an end but his smile never left his face. He gave a bow, nothing to extravagan, but its something he never lost, "thank you, you were amazing." He gentely took her hand again as they waited for the next song, "it had been a long time sense I danced."

Summer seemed entertained by his stories of how he lived his life, at least before he discovered he was one of the horsemen of the apocalypse. "Wow. Sounds like an experience." laughed the Oracle, careful on her feet as she danced with him. She always tried to make sure she was not stepping on his feet or got too close to the other dancers who twirled across the dance floor - which surprisingly was not that crowded.

"A good partner is key to a good duet." Summer grinned at him, moving almost in sync. They were off on several beats, given that they had just begun dancing with one another and it would take time to be able to read each others movements."Someone who is too off beat can throw you off. Or you can throw them off. Someone who doesn't entirely know what they're doing, or has no idea what was happening, can throw everything off." At least, that was her philosophy on the matter.

Summer would admit that this was an entertaining time together, being able to chat and dance. She had always been more of a kinesthetic person - so talking to him and dancing at the same time would allow her to remember far more about him than sitting across with her hands in her lap.

They eventually had to pause to catch their breath, for which she was grateful since she could feel her lungs asking for some larger breaths of air. A laugh came from painted lips at his bow, to which she jokingly curtsied in reply. "Shame. Dancing is a great way to get yourself moving. I usually do it when I'm stressed or angry."
