"Yea I see what you mean," she saw the paths of life, while he sensed when those paths were about to end, "hopefully the school can help us both."

He grinned and chuckled, "yea some of the classes are insane." Though it was a magical school after all, "we'll be able to learn about monsters and magical theory together," he he said half jokingly, though a part of him was looking forward to school again.

The waitress returned, and John gave her his order and waited for Summer to do the same.

Summer looked up to the waitress that came over, ordering her simple order. Taking a sip of her soda, she thought about the time now. It was curious how she got here sometimes. There was almost a glaze over her eyes as she became lost in the connected thoughts in her head. They were like a labyrinth, leading her to different concepts and ideas and memories all at once before taking a sharp turn again to another group. Right now, the thoughts were just of how everything could go while she was on the island. The young woman could see the futures of others but never herself, so she was left to wander aimlessly on her own path.

When Summer caught herself in the labyrinth of her own thoughts, she shook her head and scrunched up her nose. No time for that now, she had to get back on track with her present - worrying about the future now would not be worth the anxiety or effort. Smiling at her companion, she offered,

"Let's just kind of half-dance until the food gets here." Half-dancing was what she liked to cal what most people did. It was not exactly dancing but it wasn't just standing there. Some people swayed or just moved their hips but not necessarily do major dance moves.

Rising from his seat, he smiled and took her hand, "gonna have to to dance more often, I'm remembering how much I like it."

He led her back to the dance floor, and started, half dancing as she called it. "Thank you," he said smiling, "this night has been amazing," and he meant it, he'd enjoyed himself more than he had in a long time.

Half dancing seemed strangely calming, then again he felt very relaxed around her anyways. Like all the things he'd seen and done didn't matter, and the only thing that did, here and now, the time there spending together.

Summer smiled as they got back up, their hands entwining as they made their way back to the dance floor. This all felt so new and so thrilling in her mind. Even inf the perfume stung her eyes and she would hate having to get to class tomorrow because of the walk from the shrine to the academy, she knew it would be worth it. "Well, you're always welcome to come find me for some practice. Almost always- I mean, I'm almost always up for some dancing."

As they got back into position, she chuckled at his goofy, cheesy but sincere comment on the night. "The nights been great for me too, John. Thank you for asking me out." As they found their rhythm, she half-danced with him as well. Taking a breath, she ignored the sting in her eyes and the pain in her head, brushing it off as just the atmosphere.

Just coming back from a twirl under Johns arm, she stumbled. Her eyes had glazed over, the normal electric blue irises having turned a murky green. Summer stumbled and crashed into her partner, her hand grasping at the one he had twirled her with. Clenching her eyes shut, Summer gasped and her breathing became heavy, her other hand reaching up to grasp at her hair. The way that she stumbled even just by standing there with her companion, she might actually need to sit back down.

He grinned when she said he could come practice with her "I'll have to do that then." He gave her hand a gentle squeeze as they reached the dance floor.

"You're welcome," he was happy she enjoyed the evening, it felt nice to be with someone. "We'll have to do it again sometime," he smiled. The half dancing was calming, soothing, very nice.

Then something changed, her eyes looked different and then she stumbled into him. "You ok?" he asked very concerned, "easy now." He wrapped his arms around her, "I got you," whatever was going on, he'd make sure she was ok. He gently led her to a chair, rubbing her back a bit, he set her in the chair sitting beside her with his arms around her, "I'm here."

{{ MOOD; Disoriented | WEARING | ENERGY: 76% | WITH: John Rathier | NOTES: I'm a terrible person. }}

Summer put her hand over her mouth as the maneuvered their way off the dance floor and back to their table. God she hated that entire situation every time it happened. Important prophecies were the bane of her existence - well, more than her regular prophecies. Taking deep breaths through her nose, she tried to keep her mind in one place instead of trying to fully comprehend the flashing images in her mind.

At least she didn't pass out, right? "I'm fine. It's fine. I think I just got a little disoriented." Summer waved it off with a small smile but kept her eyes shut. She didn't want to deal with the odd process of explaining that 'oh hey, I'm going blind for a week because of this, sorry!'. Gross. No, right now she would just try to get her head back on straight and calm herself down so she didn't vomit.

"Maybe I shouldn't dance right now." She mumbled, putting her head on the table. "I'm sorry for this, sorry I've ruined the date and the atmosphere."

He felt relief flow through him, "you did nothing wrong," he hugged her. He had been worried, he remembered her telling him about her powers, her visions, how she couldn't stop them.

"Just rest, a bit," he gave her a reassuring smile and kept his arm around her shoulders, he'd be there as long as she needed him, "I'm not going anywhere."

Motioning over one of the waitresses he got her a glass of water and offered it to her, "and you didn't ruin anything, I know you can't help it. I asked you out because I like you," he grinned a bit, "this doesn't change that." He gave her a gentle kiss on her cheek.

Summer had to slowly raise her head as to not get too light headed to fast and actually pass out. It was certainly possible that it would happen - the first time it happened she learned plenty of lessons from stupid actions she probably should have learned before then. Her hand grabbed the glass carefully, the other one moving up to hold the bottom so the other one had some extra support.

There was a quiet chuckle at her companion's words. "Honestly what did I do in order to get on this date. I must've done something in a past life." She hummed for a moment before drinking again. "I uh. I'm not sure if I told you about something that comes with the prophecies. Like, they make me disoriented and all but ah. There's another side effect since this body can't entirely handle all that comes with it, y'know?"

She paused for a moment. "It's a wonder that the human body can get itself out from under a boulder but it can't handle prophecies. What the hell, human race." She muttered something along the lines of 'step up your game'. Ah, using humor to defuse the situation.

"You know...my dad once told me that attraction is often a mystery," he smiled at her. "You're beautiful and fun to be around, and there's something else about you," he chuckled a bit, "something special," and he meant every word.

He nodded, keeping an arm around her for support, "yea, you told me at the party." He remembered the long conversation they had while being held hostage, "temporary blindness, don't worry I'm not going anywhere," he didn't care if she went blind, he'd stick with her.

He chuckled a bit, "the mysteries of magic and it's affects on the human body." He was lucky, he could control his visions, "my body is always super drained after I use my other form, gotta sleep and eat a lot after."
