A Cure for Boredom

Chloe had draped herself over the back of a couch, feet in the air, staring at the ceiling. Arach was still with her, having just finished giving her little presentation on the other Goetic dukes her father competed with.

And Chloe was bored.

With Chloe's weekend lesson in the Goetia over with, there wasn't much else for her to do. Her finals were already over, but most of her friends were still buried in books studying for finals. She didn't feel like playing video games, and she couldn't bear to look at another page full of words after the cramming of the days prior. Pandora had her hands full with the girls. It was too early to do anything exciting over at Gomorrah, and she still didn't feel right going to Temptations.

And she was so bored.

"Arach, what kind of stuff do you do for fun?"

It took a second for that to register for Chloe.

...Maybe her father was right, but for all the wrong reasons. Maybe Chloe should have been giving Arach less spare time. Not for her work ethic, but for the sake of protecting the general population from her.

"Holy shit. That all sounds like a felony. If you get caught doing stuff like that to random people you're going to fuck up our lives here."

As troubling as it was to hear Arach had such a hobby, Chloe felt guilty for banning Arach from doing it. Arach already had sort of a shitty lot in life, being an indentured servant in a plane of reality that was so alien to her. And besides, it wasn't like she had actually killed anyone yet, just scared them. She had explicitly banned Arach from eating people already, and unless Arach had been lying, Chloe knew she hadn't eaten anyone before then.

Maybe there was a way she could soften the blow.

"But I'm glad you told me about it. Maybe we can, uh, arrange a way to get that out of your system without causing trouble? I know there are some people who actually like getting tied up and terrorized."

Chloe blushed a little, remembering that she was exactly that sort of person. Arach might even know already, with how good she was at spying around as a small spider, and with all the things Chloe had done with Pandora. Chloe had just been thinking of getting Arach a profile on a kinky hookup site.

Chloe saw that look on Arach's face. It made her freeze up a little. Arach knew exactly where Chloe's mind had been wandering, didn't she? And she was interested.

But Chloe had been making it a point not to do anything weird weird with her father's servants from hell, as soon as she realozed her father had been dangling that opportubity in front of her at every turn. It wouldn't be right, she had told herself. For one thing, Chloe wasn't sure that they would really be consenting. For another, it would make her feel like she was doing something weird with her dad, in an indirect sort of way.

"W-well," Chloe stammered. "What do you think you'd like doing to a, a willing victim?"

As dirty as it made Chloe feel to keep entertaining this idea... aw, hell. She'd do just about anything to escape this boredom.

"Well, I'd like some more specifics, at least," Chloe said, sitting herself upright. "What would you..." She trailed off, thinking, then decided it would be more fun to keep being coy. "I mean, suppose, hypothetically, that you've tied up someone who let you tie them up. How do you tie them up, and what kinda stuff do you do to them?"

Chloe shrugged. "I don't know. You'd have to talk to them about it ahead of time, I guess. I'd assume the lighter stuff is more popular, but the kinds of people who really put themselves out there, who you'd be able to meet easily, they might be more hardcore."

She seemed to think about Arach's suggestions a little bit. "You know... I've never tried tickle torture before." The pretense that this wasn't about Chloe or her interests was quickly falling away. She was genuinely curious what that would be like.

Chloe would save her suggestions about using the internet for another time. Maybe later today.
