Wei had yelled himself hoarse giving out pamphlets about his campaign. He was running low on product, and also running low on energy. When the last little treasure chest was gone from his box of stuff, Wei flopped onto the ground totally pooped.

He reached blindly for his bag, too tired to actually grab it by looking at it.

"Where are--come on..." He muttered as he flailed his arm around.

Aliasse kept out of the students' way while they went about their activities, but kept an eye out for any questionable behavior. There were campaigns going about the school for days now, and although she couldn't say for sure how the kids in this school behaved, she kept the possibilities of sabotage in her mind. She was all for fair play, and she wasn't having anything with that "All's fair in love and war" thing.

During her patrol, she saw someone who was dead tired on ground. "You okay, kid?" she asked, stopping momentarily to check his condition.

Wei flailed around for a few more minutes hoping to touch the backpack that he could have sworn was right by his head. When his fingertips touched nothing but empty air for the seventh time, it was with a groan that he gave up and just laid there as the sun slowly started setting on another day of campaigning.

He heard someone walking toward him, and had he been less tired, he would have run away from unidentified footsteps. But he was incredibly tired, and instead, only stared placidly at the sky.

"Wh-- yeah... m'just. Tired." he murmured. "S'hard work."

This monkey kid... he seemed a little familiar. One of the students running for the elections, if she remembered rightly. Good to see he was working hard for it. "Seems like you've been busy. Need help getting somewhere or will you just be taking a nap right here?"

It was still a few hours before curfew, so she could let him pass out there for the time being. "Say, you're one of the students running for the elections, aren't you?" she asked, just to confirm.

Wei shook his head. "I could just nap right now to be honest." Part of him really wanted to just conk out on the ground. He forced himself to not do that though, because if people saw him just napping in the dirt, then it would definitely hurt him in the polls. He looked at the woman above him and flailed his arm out to his side.

"Couldja pass me my backpack? Should be around here." The bag was in plain site, sitting on the bench where the prone child couldn't reach it.

At the question of if he was running, Wei nodded. "Mmhm. Second time running."

Well, there was only a single pack around there, so she went over to pick it up and set it right next to the kid. "Here you go," she said politely. "Second time, huh?" she contemplated on the desire to be a student body official, but it didn't really seem all that compelling.

"So what are you running for? President?"

Wei let out a soft, pleased noise when the backpack was moved closer to him. He opened it up, rumaged inside of it, and pulled out a perfectly cylindrical water bottle. He cracked it open and sat up, drinking deeply.

"Guh!" He said, once his stomach was full of water. "Yeah, I wanna be president this time. Last time--" Wei laughed. "Last time I was running for secretary and won President on accident to I had to step down to Secretary."

Aliasse was surprised to hear that, honestly, and got a little suspicious. How in the world did that happen? Ballot boxes got switched or something? She wanted to entertain the thought that it was a failed attempt at rigging the elections, but that was maybe too extreme a jump.

"If only you got that kind of luck in the lottery," she said with a lighthearted chuckle. "So you're aiming higher now? Good for you, kiddo."

Wei nodded at her statement and sat up from the floor. It was just now that he realized he was pretty sure he didn't recognize this woman who was talking to him. His stomach sloshed uncomfortably as he sat up.

He gave her a smile. "Last time my friend Morgan Ferris won the president position." He said, laughing softly at the memory. "She was great at it."

"I almost feel kinda bad running against her like this."

"Morgan Ferris," she repeated, pinching her chin in thought. "Yes, I heard that name mentioned around campus." Quite a fair bit in fact.

Personally, Aliasse thought a friendly competition wasn't anything to be sorry for, but then again, she didn't know how much either of them wanted the position. "So what made you run for president, if you don't mind me asking?"
