Sev was on a cart heading deeper into the forest at a bit of a base camp he had created. It was safe from monsters and such. Reading over a paper he noticed that a reward for some Wolves either to get them out of the area or slay them. Though he wasn't big on Ecology he was asked to try and wound them so they would leave. Not kill. So he put the paper into a small pouch after folding it and pulled out a bottle of water. Though it was green, he shook it a bit and it began to glow. It was a healing potion if he needed it. Though he was good alchemy. He only ever made potions to heal him. It was easier that way.
Eventually after he closed his eyes the cart came to a stop. He jumped off and waved to the man who had brought him here. He was wearing a mask so he wasn't sure on who it was when the cart began to move away. Looking at the small base camp it had a fire pit which he lit and put his armor bag on the ground. Putting on each piece of his armor on at a time. Slowly getting his armor on he thought he heard a noise. Seeing a bird fly by him he smiled. "God'amn birds.." He said. They always ticked him off to no end, though he did like their simple life.
Eventually he stood with his armor on and attached his bag to his side. Putting his hand inside he pulled out his short sword and shield from the bag and began to clean them. They were still smothered in blood of a dragon. Though he was sure they liked it. as he put the sword in the fireplace for a bit. The blade began to glow a bit as he grabbed the hilt and held the sword into the air.
"Well my friend. Let's go..."
He said. Leaving some of his useless gear at the camp. Little did he know. He was walking into a trap. He walked through the forest as he moved branches out of his way and made his way to a dark area. He could see faintly. Though he stopped as he heard something snap. He didn't realize that he snapped a twig.
Just when he thought he wasn't going to have any issues. He saw eyes come from the darkness as he held his shield up and looked around. Sev was surrounded as his blade begged for combat, and his shield for blood. He wasn't about to lose his cool now. How was he going to explain genocide? "Great.. This isn'-" He heard howls and the snarls as he heard foot steps behind him. Turning around just in time a wolf jumped at him and he used the shield to launch the wolf at another. Which then turned into him using the side of the blade for blunt force to hit a wolf across the skull.
"Well, this is gunna be fun.." he said with a smile on his back. After a more wolves joined the fray Sev's arm was bit as he tried to slash at one. Dropping his blade it vanished into thin air with his shield. Using his other arm to punch the wolf off his arm he grabbed it and tossed it at one that had started to charge as he felt his back getting slashed. Taking a few steps forward reeling from the wound he put up his hands as he closed his eyes and heard two of the jump and made for the floor as the two had bumped heads. By now there were Nine wolves on the ground or limping away. Sev was bleeding from the wound on his back and the bite on his arm. He was panting at this point. He was tired as he let out his battle cry. Hoping that it was enough to scare them off.
If it worked on bigger creatures once.. It will work on these-
He was so wrong.
As he roar'd he heard many more howls as he tried to hold them off. It wasn't working. Eventually he was covered in wolves. biting and clawing at parts of his body. Until he reached into his bag. "C-C'mon.." grabbing a hilt of his long sword he pulled it out. Knocking most away and cutting two of them. Enough to make them bleed but not to kill as he slowly stood up once. more. His armor once a beautiful blue. Now shimmered red. Taking a small drink of the health potion he held the shaft of the blade with both hands. Holding it almost like a samurai would he began to slowly move backwards.
Noticing they were moving forward slowly. Sev was worn, but he wasn't going down anytime soon. Maybe he should turn around. He turned around and noticed that he was surrounded literally. He saw that wolves were coming at him at all sides. Seems he didn't come into just a few. It was a pack.
Spinning his sword in one hand that it scrapped the ground. He went back. And prepared for what could be his final stand. Against wolves. He fought worse before, but nothing as massive as a pack.
