Personality Description:

· Insanely smart, Zoraida speaks six languages.
· Friendly, straightforward and very direct.
· Warm, welcoming and caring – the polar opposite of her brother.
· Dislikes liars and dishonest people and has zero patience with those types of people.
· Holds grudges, especially against her brother, Tomas, who she considers a supreme psychopath and an embarrassment.
· Zora is also impatient, reckless and has a bit of mean streak if provoked.

Active Abilities:

- Zoraida can move magically from place to place in an instant. She just needs to think about where she wants to go regardless of whether she has been there or not. It has to be a real place and a place that somebody in her family line has already visited in the past. This includes great-great-great family members, but it must be somebody directly in the family line. (Think migratory birds, the magic works like that.)

Zora can teleport as needed but must wait 5 minutes between moves. Teleporting is not taxing usually but done more than 9 times in an hour will leave her magic depleted for the next 12 hours.

- Also, because she is from a long line of druids, Zora can/could do water magic (as in manipulating its elemental forms from liquid to solid to gas) – but there needs to be a water source nearby usually not more than a few feet away - best is if she can actually touch the water, she can’t magically make something like a glass of water appear in the desert, she needs a tiny source of H2O to draw from and from there she can produce or reproduce as much water as she needs for the spell. (Therefore, she often carries a small vial of water on a chain around her neck.)

The magic Zoraida uses can manipulate water and produce ice barriers, freeze ponds, encase everyday objects in blocks of frozen water, put out small fires, produce fog/mist, or soak through something that was originally dry. She could also, if she tries hard, boil water in a pot or warm the water in a bathtub or in a cup. She cannot, however, turn a lake into a frozen skating rink, a giant steaming hot pool, or stop a waterfall. The sources must be smaller and preferably quiet (not stagnant) like ponds, puddles of rainwater, glasses of water, icicles, etc... not fast running sources of water like a river, waterfall, flood or torrential downpour.

Her magic is temporary and works from 60 seconds to an hour - depending on the spell used. Then the ice will melt, water will evaporate or cool down to room temperature normally. All spells, once cast, become inactive and need time to regenerate.

(Important: Zoraida is good at using water magic, but she has not mastered all the combinations possible, and sometimes, a spell may not even have worked if the object it's focused on is too large, the water source not clean or pure enough, the object/creature has too much pure energy (i.e. is pure at heart/has never hurt anyone and the spell Zoraida is casting is harmful), etc. )

- Magical items: Donny Damascus has crafted Zora a pair of custom protection charm bracelets. The first simply deflects any small caliber bullets fired at her. The second reduces the effects of offensive magic. Weaker spells will be nullified, while stronger spells will be cut in half. This particular charm also blocks out magic and abilities that affect the mind. Donny has also given her a surplus of 9mm. bullets designed to break through magical barriers self-activating counter spells as though they were not there. These bullets are still affected by mundane means of defense such as bulletproof vests and the like.

- Power: Bestows the ability to manipulate the auras around people.

She can do one of two things at a time but not both.

Zora can deactivate all/any auras in a room - 50-foot radius. This will last for as long as she's present. She can do this a few times a day, but each aura requires 30 minutes to recharge herself. For example: if she deactivates a room of ten auras. She won't be able to deactivate any other auras for 5 hours.

She can manipulate one person's aura completely - by changing its nature. The person needs to be in the room with her and at most 20 feet from her. For example, a fear aura could be changed into a peace-inducing aura or an attraction aura could be turned into an honesty-inducing aura. This effect lasts 24 hours.

She can only do this once every twelve hours. This manipulation does not affect the original aura's radius or strength - i.e. it does not weaken or strengthen the aura in any way or change the radius it affects.


- Active: Telekenisis

The user can use telekinesis for attack and/or defense by pushing/pulling, moving/lifting, objects/people. Zora can also move objects nearby her and in her line of sight maximum distance 30 feet. The further away, the less strong the moment/effect though.

For example, an object near her (within 10 feet) could be moved back 30 feet, but an object 30 feet away can only be moved, maybe, 10 feet. (The weight of the object will also be a factor. A lighter object will go further than a heavier one). The most she can lift telekinetically could be around ~200lb.

- Zora can manipulate the shadows around her to avoid detection. They can cloak or hide her (and if she chooses, one other person) as long as needed - the only caveat is movement. It they stay still in the shadow they are practically invisible. If there is movement, then this illusion is or can be broken.

The ability has no negative effects on her or the person she takes into the shadows.


Passive Abilities:

Has an innate ability to tell if something is cursed or evil. It's usually just a feeling of foreboding, although sometimes Zoraida has felt physically ill and desperately needed to remove the object from her presence.

Is “uncursable” – her brother (or other necromancers) cannot curse or bind her. Tomas has tried in the past to curse his sister, and the spells don’t work or they have the undesired effect of bouncing back on him.

- Zora can see things hidden in the night - invisible, perhaps, to most people. This includes spirits as well as other creatures that are associated with the night or shroud themselves in the darkness that the night offers.

This ability also expands on her druid nature and returns her to nature somewhat, making her aware of the night and the power of the moonlight to light the way of others, often giving her subtle, unbidden and slightly cryptic, glimpses of things that may come to pass.

- Zora can breathe underwater.

Biography:

Born to an ancient line of druids and witches (or as her brother tells everyone – necromancers).

She is immortal. This is due to a longevity/healing spell gone terribly wrong – she rarely talks about what happened.

She is/was friends (best friends) with Natasha Lockwood. However, Natasha thought/thinks Zoraida was killed by the spell that made her immortal many years ago. This is mainly because Zoraida feels ashamed and guilty. At the time, she had demanded Natasha turn her into a vampire, and when she wouldn’t, Zoraida did the unthinkable – she used ritual magic to try and cure herself. (Natasha never outright refused, she just wouldn’t do it until Zoraida told her why she wanted to be a vampire. Zora was very sick, dying back then, and stupidly refused to tell her good friend that, and so they had a fight, and Zora tried to cure herself using old druid blood sacrifice magic.)

Zoraida is on the island because she heard her brother Tomas Del Bosque (who has denied her existence and insists he is special, telling everybody a fanciful story about his past) has set up shop and is up to no good. She has come to keep him in check (or at least make sure he doesn’t drag the family name into anything unsavoury) as well as mend the rift between her and Natasha. She also hopes that somebody on the island can help her fix/restore her powers or at least tell her why this is happening to her.

Resources: The Del Bosques are an immensely wealthy family. They own a few import and export businesses as well as real estate and property worldwide. Zoraida is now the CEO of Woodland Imports and part owner of Del Bosque Holdings (commonly known as DB Holdings) and owner of various smaller companies. She is an angel investor – and unlike her brother – doesn’t often use shady practices in her business dealings.

She has bought beachfront property with a large beach house on Manta Carlos, and an office in the business district.
